is your show 100% pure trance ?
-
theyu could just make cigarettes illegal, then it would like you sya become underground. which would at least keep smoking out of all public area's theres every reason for them to be illegal, i dont understand how they arnt tbh. all it does is slowly kill someone, nothing good at all, they have nicotine in them which traps the user into its little trap, which cant be a legal thing to do can it? im sure if someone could pay enough to get some of the best lawyers in the world this could happen, but who wants to bother with all that money hey?

i like the sound of this

well we just got a new name, we got booked backed to back and apprently we arnt aloud to play twice under the same name with in 5 days of each other at the same club, Our second Alias is "Beat the System" mainly because the day we found out we needed a second name my mate went to court to get his loss of licence reduced, got it from 6 months down to 1 month, so he 'beat the system' so to speak, cant remember which mate came up woth it though hahah

neither, for me i started at festivals, then when ever i went to the city. then i lost my job in march, so got bored through the day and one day just decided to light up a smoke through the day, that started happening more frequent, now i ussualy have a smoke every day, you honestly dont realising the fuckers creeping up on you till its too late, i know ive got an addictiopn and i want to kick it, so hard though. there fuckin pricks i tells ya

ill put some up tonight too. Just got the jacks hoouse one 'in the begining there was jack!, and jack had a groove, " that one, kind of sounds like a preacher for house music Great little thing to chop up and use for originals

sniping is the worst was giong for a snowboard , a $690 AU board was going for $250, placed a bit in the last 10 seconds for $300, in the last 2 seconds i got sniped by $2.50. mutha fuka

how about making it kind of curved, so it curves around the dj, also make a little pannel to place your cd's and maybe a laptop stand above the mixer. you should get dimentions of all cdj 1000's and turntables and mixers(only the most common ones) and start up a business.

luckily for me my backdoor is 2 steps from my little work desk, ussualy play my song out while i have a smoke and decide what needs changing etc etc
-
thats where i got it from, and works perfectly for me, cept i ussualy dont have to kick anyone out of the house, its already empty most of the time.

thats probaly the longest goign project ive ever heard of a track taking 2 years to make:P haha if your losing motivation, just walk away, go out side.come back to the track an houre later or more, and you will hear how the track really does sound. thats what tends to happen with me, ill make a track all night, thinking im killing it, go to sleep go back to it the next day and just think 'wtf is this shit' then i change it more, and everytime i come back to it its less shitty because those first hour or so i work on it my ears are freshhhhhhhhhh. Also stock up on caffine/cigarettes, and send all house members out for a while so you dont get distracted.
-
tell me about it, your stuff is garbage! you know it!
-
this is my life hahaha. as soon as something in a track sounds bad i ussually scrap it and start again, i find it impossibe to keep motivated when there is a bad element in my tracks. which is odd cause most of my tracks finished products have bad elements, but you get my drift haha

Ok, bit of a miss understanding from my part, when you were challenging/oposing(what ever you want to call it) our opinions, it was a little confusing to work out how much of your posts were from a trance point of view, i know you mentioned it in your very first paragraph, but you made a lot of posts that dip'd into other genre's which confused me cause those opinions wern't from trance. Anyway, i see where your coming from, i hope you can see where i was coming from. Im going to go play some skate 3.

yeah man heard a promo track on the J's a few weeks back, so so good hey

Maybe i got the wrong idea, but this quote obviously shuts skanks"and mine" view of a successfull way of getting into the electro house scene in sydney, because thats exactly what i did. what i was trying to say is this way might not work in the trance scene, which then your perfectly fine to say that is utter bullshit, as long as you say its utterbullshit to do that in the trance scene, but you just said the whole idea of networking is crap. Essentially, what I wrote was how I got through (with many details omitted). However (yes, you should have expected this), I’ve seen a great many DJ’s come through the trance scene, only to be rejected a year later, really doing exactly what some have said here (or otherwise know), e.g. getting to know the promoters etc etc etc. Are you implying that I am under the impression that there is a step by step process to DJing and getting ‘breaks’? Clarify this for me. “Every Dj makes his mark in a different way”. Ok, explain this to me by this i mean that every dj made there way to were they are diffrent to other dj's, e.g some may of got there through networking, through family, through hardwork, through imaculat mixes, by chance, or they were forced into it, etc etc....no i cant speak for every dj, but you cant honestly beleive that every dj got to where they are the exact same way as every other dj.. Can you really speak for ‘every; dj? My discussion is intended to be an opinion, that’s what this site is for, right? If I was giving a sermon, seminar or simply trying to illustrate findings, I’d publish dude. LOL @ the clikity-clak minimal reference. Each to their own now i may of sent the wrong message, im not the smartest guy and pretty shit at choosing the right words. but what cbg posted to posts above this is basically what i was trying to say, Your from a trance backround, and you say you can only speak from a trance point of view. but all the advice your giving seemed like you were applying it to the dj scene as a whole.

yeah yeah thats what i meant, liek the admin forum is to all us cats, we can see its there, but click on it and it says we dont have authorization.
-
just cancell the emails? its not like this forum is hard to keep track of at the moment but when this forums grows this will probaly have to be a priority Cupe.
-
ive seen it on a few forums, maybe not making areas unviewable, but alot of places have All links unviewable untill a certain postcount or only the first post of the thread viewable so they get the question but cant see everyones answers
-
nah i think the VIP section should be a further stage of membership, liek Cupe mentioned in a thread last week somewhere, the VIP area will be a pay to enter area. which i agree with just so long as there is something worth paying for, i think my idea would be sufficiant mainly because most member joining up are looking for dj information or production information(as well as these we should close off some other highly visited threads, cept offtopic, offtopic should stay free to everyone so they can actually make those posts up haha

Im honestly not having a go at you here dude, but here you claim to only being able to speak in terms of the trance scene in melbourne, but yet your shutting down and correcting everyone regardless of what genre they come from(which you may or may not no shit about in which the scene from they come) It just seems to me your going through this thread with a attitude where you cant be wrong no matter what, even though you stated you can only speak in terms of the trancescene in melbourne, 1 genre in 1 city. Come on, Be Fair, listen to what others say. and dont shut them down because it may be wrong in the melbourne trance scene, not every scene is the same i hope you keep posting around these forums, as you seem to be very well into the trance scene and im sure you can give people that are into trance some good info and help(as thats what this very forum is about), just try do it with out the 'im right and your wrong and thats how it is' attitude.
-
yo man, was just thinking, we get ALOT of people joining up but not posting, they just join up, troll through for a bit then leave. i was thinking, make most of the forum unviewable untill youve signed up. then make a few ones 'like the beginers and production' sections unviewable untill the new user has made 10 posts or something, hopefully this will make people at least make introductions and socialise for a bit there for hopefully getting them hooked on the forum. of course somepeople are going to signup and make 10 useless posts, but still, better then no posts at all
-
hope so dude, goodluck with the meeting
