  1. i havnt droped it in a while but raven used to get the crowd....raven, hehe. afrojack, anything by afrojack. this is assuming it isnt an opening set, these are just floor fillers
  2. bootcamp splits all the memory, i tried doing this exact thing, it made my computer shit itself because there was only about about 30gig of free space on the windows side and about 1gig on the mac side. quit being stubborn and get a mac program like logic or sell your mac and get a PC. your just going to give yourself a headche dude you can get parallells or boot camps, boot makes it so you choose which one you use when you boot your computer parrallells are when you can have both open at the same time.
  3. welcome to thr forums man. basically turntables are the analog/oldschool/alot more skill required version, if you can mix well/scratch and all that shit on vinyl, youve got something going for you. cdj's are the digital age, and from then on it just gets more digital. cdj's are the standard in clubs and what not, being because most of the people picking up djing will go to cdj's or other djing software, mainly because it can be a little cheaper and they have alot of feature that make it alot easier to start up, but it also takes away alot of the skill involved. clubs will still have turntable put away for the guy that still charges on the vinyl, so either way you cant loose,
  4. how do i embed pictures? havnt done it in years.

  9. yeah that part isnt entirely finished, ive been trying to get the bass a lot more prominant. as for the 2 bar fill just befoe that, i didnt want anything to intence for that section because what it leads into isnt suapposed to b another drop but just a heavy bridge type thing. but am still working on it

  12. snippet of a track im working on, hopefully getting it signed to bombeatz records if they dig. would like some feedback
  13. welcome to the forums. where abouts to you play out at
  14. welcome soooooon
  15. yeah man constructive critisism is the best kind of feedback you can get, sometimes it may seem a bit harsh, but its what the person truthfully thinks, no point in someon telling you track is awsome if he thinks it still needs work! just keep at it man!
  16. Pro's - your making dubstep haha. - you have the basic ideas down, got the drum beats right. -have an ok little melody going on, just need some synth work. - that second synth that comes in is a nice sounds! Cons -the track lacks real structure, try just having a bit of a drum beat going on for the first 12 bars with some back round noises, like a synth pattern with real short notes far apart, put an echo or reverb on it, get those notes to follow the same notes as the bass in the drop though. then after those 12 bars have a little kick build up or something or a vocal hook and drop the bass after 16 bars( on the 17th) -the second synth you drop in is too loud, and i think its bought it way to early, try bringing it in later, and don't have it in the whole track bring it in for 30 seconds or a minute try pitching it up or down an octave to to change things up, then drop it out again, and bring it back in later. just so the listner isnt listning to the same sound the whole way through the track. keep it up though man. want to see some more tracks from you
  17. there is no longer any Yoy's or yeah's in there.

    Wazsup!

welcome dude. garage band is a good place to start, but dont get to comfy with it as it will limit what you can do as your only realy using loops, we all start somewhere though. in the future you may want to look at programs like Logic pro(Mac) Ableton(mac and PC) Reason(PC i think?) FL studio(PC) there is a few others but id say theyd be the main ones. and like previously said, the more questions you ask the more knowledge your going to get
  19. i could muster up pics but they arnt all in one how do i upload photos so they appear in my post, ive never done thta before
  20. yeah man, dont ever not upload something because you think its not right or what not, feedback is the best way of going forward, and unless your showing people your work your not gonna get any feedback on how to improve,
  21. JonnyB

    hey y'all

    welcome sir!
  22. LOL! Your concern is valid but given that an MP3 can be duplicated a gazillion times (its a word if you can say and spell it), I wouldnt worry too much about people pirating tracks this way. I doubt the quality would be very good anyway. i know that man, no matter what it is though if its illegal should we be advertising it. mp3 or vinyl. anyway ive spoken buck and he said it was taken from dj warehouse, so if anything WAS to happen, just blame shift it to them theres no harm in being carefull sourceraver.
  23. photos dont work, and its not a good idea to be posting how to pirate vinyl, you may be doing it for personal purposes to get 1 extra vinyl of that track. but people could use this to mass produce it?
  24. i gather steve angello got #1 on beatport with a track that he thinks is terrible. its the mainstream man
  25. i use massive for everything. you can make anything with it!! you guys
