only ended up going to the banj a few times, the dj's were suprisingly talented, just had to play a fair bit of commerical, was stoked to see they were on vinyl. id say id be back next year, going to japan for the off season in jan feb and march i think.

hahaha thats fucked man, there has been a few big named dj's that have been caught doing that, there may of been something else going on though, did he have a laptop with him. on the bright side, it is only a pub, cant expect too much, kebab sounds so good

yeah find out what type of music she is into. e.g is she into the dance music scene, or the hip hop scene etc etc. and is she into all the commercial shit or do they wanna hear shit that theyd hear in a modern day club?

welcome to the forums dude. if you have any specific question dont hesitate to ask. in the mean time a few electronic genre you may want to check out are Dutch house(shit like afrojack, douster, ralvero all those intence high pitch melodies. Fidget( stuff like jack beats, hot mouth, WonK, mightyfools..... wobbly beats) Jacking house(tom EQ, hijack) sure some others will give you a few more to look at too

yeah the riva star one i didnt do, that was done by andy the guy i play with, i had no idea about that track till a few days ago haha. fuck he is doing well though, he only started producing a few weeks before i went down the snow, may i think was the first time he saw a DAW. as far as what we use we just use Logic pro and Massive for synths, we have 1 midi keyboard, but we havnt started using it yet. And chev that drum pattern is just going to be changed to a normal 4x4 kick pattern so it dosent sound out of wack. the melody comes back in just after the sound cuts out on soundcloud and plays out in a bit of the outro as well. \ cheers for the feedback guys

yeah if you plan on getting into the clubs, make sure your getting a setup where you have to learn beatmatching properly...meaning no Autosync, and on cdj's you have the BPM counter, tbh i have no problem with people using that, but when you first get cdj's( that is if you do get them) try covering the BPM thing whit a bit of tape and learn to beatmatch with out looking at it. then once you know you can do the beat matching take it off, because you know you can beatmatch properly. If you plan on just playing at home or at partys, get what ever and just have some fun!
