yeah i know that, i was comparing the SOLE laptop dj to the vinyl dj, he uses serato, but that dosent stop him from amazing scratching and beatjuggling and all that crazy shit. to complete diffrent styles of entertainment, both are great, but i prefer the TT's show. the laptop is there just to provide the audio onto the vinyl yeah?

hed of had to of been on coke or something as well, he was so fukin charged, swinging his headphones over his head and shit like that, he was focusing on performing for the crowd rather then djing way too much

those drums are fukin killer man. those backround high pitched sounds are killer, like how that lower sound kind of drops out at about 2:00 that echo bought in at 2:40ish into the drop is killer dude!

wasn't there but fat boy slim had his serato screw up at one sydney festival and he could only get one deck working, so was one track, stop, another track, stop. he never figured out about internal modes i was in that crowd, was a weird feeling, but the crowd didnt start booing or anything, i remember it went silent for a bit, then 4 bars of seven nation army white stripes played then it cut out from then. immediatly the whole crowd started chanting that rythem for a solid 5 minutes, imagine hearing no music, just a 10,000 strong crowd chanting that...DAAAAAH DA DUT DUT DUT DAAAHHHH DAAAAAAH. sounding fukin amazing

a good set of TT's will rape a laptop anyday . although i did walk into a minimal set at stereosonic last year, and the technology these guys use is nuts, they were controlling the video whilst playing music through the lappy and doing all this crazy shit, great entertainment to watch, but id still rather watch a vinyl set from some one like mix master mike

ill have to creep on it, but you know what i mean

im more of fan of his live sets, seen him at chinese laundry a while back, was very cheersed night

they weight adjust is a sick feature, make it heavy when mixing, and every now and then put it to light to do a spinback before droping a track out, only works in some spots

jayz and nas go so well together, and then their hate rymes against each other are sick too ether by nas, best intro 'FUCK JAY Z' black republican is sick too, where they rap together

i had a listen a few days ago, wrote up the biggest contructive critisism and my laptop battery died, was so cut, felt so good to be giving a big lot of feedback to you. but after that i lost my shit and was to angry, you basically summed it all up in your own review though. drop the lime is dope hey

dont use the loops man get creative and make you own drum loops, chuck some swing on the hats or something to beat sounding the same, layer your drums, put 2 kicks over each other, e.g a real punchy kick layered over a subby one with a bit of tail, chances are no one has used that combination, and you have a unique kick. etc etc

had someeropean chick come up to me when we were playing main set time requesting Trance, i said something along the lines of ' im sorry i dont have any, this club is mainly electro house/party based music' she kept nagging me and i kept saying no, then she just gave me the finger right in the face and told us to fuck off and left the club... on the other hand, 2 weekends ago i had some chick lean over the side of the dj both while my mate was droping a few and give me a few sneaky kiss's. cant complain with that yeah?

im with chev, if its a decent club they w ill have TT's and if you request them you should be able to use them, candy's does

what type of samples are you after? tbh i just use vengence sample packs, along with heaps of shit from free sample sites

id like to pretend i had the money for them. but i already owe my dad a bit of money, and only got back from the snow a week ago so i gotta look for a new job. i may come back in a few months though. id love to get some TT's

hey guys, just wondering whats the Logic equivelent to the Fruity Slicer. for those of you who dont know what it is, its basically a sampler, you drop your sample into it and it splits it into /8ths or 16th's equally and gives each sample chop its own key, so you can play around with it in the piano roll. help?
