purely for production id go with logic. but in all seriousness its down to personal prefferance, a few mates use ableton purely for production and swear by it!
welcome bruv, as already said, there is plenty of guys here that know their shit, and are in the industry (of any type, mobile, clubs, parties, bedrooms, mixing, scratching (crundy) etc) just ask your questions bru

this tracks knocks on figures door and back hands him, the backhand keeps going to calvertrons house, smashes through his front door slaps him through is back wall.
for me its knowing my track, and also just learning how genre's are structured, so you can just tell when the section is going to come up. its alot easier on cdj's being able to tap tap tap the cue button though. but yeah just count in my head, if i do end up missing it, i just fast forward the track 16 bars really quickly, cue it up, wait for the outgoing track to hit 16 bars into the drop then play the second track, beatmatch it and bring it in, in 16 bars if ya get me
apart from close friends parties. first gig was in november 09. at candy's apartment playing in their back room 1-2. got the gig as our good mates were already plauing there, they put in a good word for us and that was it, no need to give em a mixtape, we were booked the next week and got a resdency.....alot easier then most people get it
deffinatly stick with vinyl's youl be kicking yourself down the track if you didnt. dont think ill be able to lend cdj's anymore, need them to often now, have more frequent gigs, sorry. good to see you back though
i think he means like drop the track into ableton, chop out the section you dont want, bounce it then use the edited version in your mix. its just called an edit i guess? so just say you edited barbra steisand itd be Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand ( Mr Illiterate edit)
