  1. yeah the 2 synths i use are massive by NI and Albino 3 massive is a good alrounder. but albino 3 just kills it for fuck off heavy dubstep bass's
  2. you could always just find a torrent
  3. id say thats more of a mash. my idea of a remix is taking components from one track, and building a new track around those components, e.g the vocals cut up and put around a track youve made yourself...can also include the same midi from the original or little 1 shot hits. as far as tips for production go Find a DAW that suits you. Never stop learning. their is plenty and plenty of youtube tutorials. you can Never have enough samples. although youll learn to take a liking to a few. like youl have 4 favorite claps or what ever. Find 1 maybe 2 VST's and learnt he inside out. no point having 5 or 6 that you barley know how to use. Dont quit because your not making a record label sounding beat straightaway it takes time. just practice. listen to lots of diffrent types of music. although its cool to take little ideas from other producers. dont try and imitate. try and make your own sound. ummmmmm what else. making a tune is not the only part of it. learn what compression/limiting is as well as eq'ing. there is ALOT more to production then you think. hope it all works out jb
  4. hey mate. i dont think it realy matters what type of decks you get , they just play the music. but try the cdj 400's or 1000's(most clubs have 1000's.) or for vinyl get some tecnique 1200's i think their called. for mixer's most people i know have the djm 600. my next mixer is going to be from the allen and heath range...probaly a xone42 . that shit is good. as for adding bassline loops or whatever.im sure some mixers can do it but i dunno. try just hooking up a 3rd turntable and load your loops onto a cd and loop them in hope i helped man

intersting fact the frqency 17HZ is the frequency used in movies that provoke an 'on the edge of your seat/hair stand up on your neck' type feeling. very common in scary movies. and as a side note. when producing. cut away everything under 20HZ as its a waste of space, it is nor heard and very rarely felt. so cut it all away and save your track energy
  9. i recon the best thing to do is find 1 powerfull vst (say massive or albino 3) and learn it inside out, no point having 4 or 5 that you dont realy know how to use when you could have 1 that youll be able to make any sound with.
  10. sup man, i used to live in gerringong so know aot of people from your way. whats your name i may know you
  11. Hey whats up. im jonny b. a Newish producer/dj from the wollongong area. been producing for a little over a year and got my little mits on some decks at the start of the year. i havnt learnt these two things as fast as id of liked to due to limited practise time (cheers for it work). so i dont dj anywhere as im not good enough. but if your keen to check some of my tunes out hit me up at www.myspace.com/boony44 there not record label material so dont expect much. i fall under the fidget/jacking house/dubstep genre's.
