  3. cant wait to hear it bro. dubstep is my fav:0
  4. lol when i first read it i was like (what the hell am i suposed to do with 50 copies? haha). but then i asumed that it is given to the 50 runers up. i would ablsolulty love some vinyl. i recon relearning on vinyl would improve beat matching skills heaps. cmon for the win haha
  5. oh yeah sorry dude it was a spelling mistake. the night is for boysnoize. i have no idea why i started spelling it boise. . but yeah my mates (slipperywhenwet dj's) got a gig at the Boyz Noize(the famous dj's record label) record label night
  6. what are you on about man?
  7. whos your bro?. nah man, i wouldnt want them to either, no where near up to scratch. maybe in the future.
  8. Hey guys, boise noise records are having a night at the metro theatre featuring Kill the noise. Jedotronix. Shadow Dancer. Strip Steve and mikix the cat. and the latest addition to the lineup is Slipperwhenwet Dj's. now these guys have only played 3 propers gigs before. and have been djing for around 1 year, maybe a bit less. So this is huge for them come along and support, or just to have a good time
  9. the first track was then end of a pon de flor and raven mash that is done by them selves. the second song is i beat muther fuckers V nine to five - boltan mash also done by slippery when wet dj's. chev, check out the new thread i made on dean and russ

were abouts is it man, once you guys have dj;s and not indie bands il probs drive up and check it out.
  11. yeah man russ epoff and dean relph. they killed it saturday night by the way. little snipit of what went down. some heavy beats
  12. hey guys, ajax and anna lunoe are playing at heat this friday. also my mates slippery when wet dj's are playing there as well. Heat is held at The Cross above bourbon street. come along for sureee
  13. yeah i know what you mean. its like a signature intro to your very own mix, it give little previews of the songs the listner will be hearing through out the mix, and you can add your own little vocal's and one shot hits and what not. a dude from holland i talk to made a dope one for his april mix
  14. hey guys, i have 2 cdj400's and a DXM 06 numark mixer. ive had them since the start of the year but have only been getting into it for the last 2 months. now im trying to record a mix tape, around 30min long. and i cant seem to nail it, i always fuck up somewhere..... i also have ableton live. and ive also done the mix in that. just want to know your thoughts on if you guys think making mixtapes in ableton is kind of cheating or not, because they are 2 diffrent skills
  15. yeah man all you need is a sampler. like chev said reaper and audicity are both great for that. if you want something a bit more versitile. get ableton live. i got it today and am already loving it more then ive ever loved FL studio.
  16. cheers man, topic on my forum dedicated for this forum. just need to work out how to make it a sticky
  17. thanks mate. much apreciated. just need to make it more interesting to bring the people
  18. feel free to join my dubstep site www.ausdubstep.net to the admins if you do not want this kind of advertising i understand and will delete this topic as soon as you say so. i just dont know how else do get people to join up
  19. breathe - prodigy (numbernin6 remix) such a filthy track!
  20. i disagree. you just need to know what to do. simply making a myspace saying your a dj isnt going to do anything for you. but to prove it is worth it ill use my mates for example. they made their myspace, put up a minimix sample but as well as this they made some mash's with popular acapellas over stomping tunes (e.g a lil john vocal over a prodigy remix). and doing plenty of stuff like this, which keep people coming to your page. in the few months they have been about theyve had over 25k hits, and picked up gigs along side ajax and anna lunoe. so myspace is not dead. not sure if this made sence......it did in my mind
  21. creepy - boltan(mightyfools remix)
  22. yeah, correct me if im wrong but rusko and caspa were the first to take this more bass driven verison of dubstep. the likes of skream and benga ussualy are alot more chilled original dub, but rusko, caspa, DZ, bar 9. these guys are pumping out some massive tunes. which is where i wanna be haha
  23. yeah, few people have been calling it rave step. ill get the drums fixed up when i get back to my Pc on the weekend. also need to do something with the rave type synth, it gets to boring. ill post up some other tracks later
  24. hey guys. doing a bit of a dubstep remix of a track from another producer from my area. put a heavy dubstep touch on it. only spend about 1 hour on it so far. http://www.zshare.net/audio/625052053f26228c/ feedback would be sweet
  25. i actualy found that doing remix's helped me progress alot faster then makoing orginals. because they give you an outline of what to do. then once youve done enough remix's youve got the general idea of what to do an incorporate it into your own originals. maybe just a personal thing though
