  1. rich from dj'ing, producing, and owning his own record label. and so on and so on. i remember talking about a similar topic on pottymouth boards with either hijack or klaus hill. they said the only way youll ever make decent money is if you dj/produce/and start a sucsesfull record label. otherwise youll only be making enough to just scrape through onlife.
  2. yeah man, laidback luke uses FL studio as well makes and fully masters his tracks in 4 hours. freak And his blau track is immense.
  3. lets track it down then, im keen to find out
  4. i dunno. only 10 months old. and he has been making bangers for alot longer then that. but he is like extremely smart as a sound techniction or something, he went to uni for it. so i think he just knows exactly what needs to be done with out haveing a massive computer and 20 monitors and screens and synths
  5. well this is actually a video. not a picture. but it shows rusko's(the big dubstep producer) set up. and youll be surprised about how little he actually uses haha. just proves you dont need all that jazz to make good beats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4rDC1kuHtc and as youll see he suports the suger idea haha
  6. i know there is an even called coastal beats on the south coast of nsw. like the ulladulla area. and its purely for under 18's. has had people like grafton primary and shit play for em
  7. feedback on the new version?
  8. nah my mate went back to the hotel early, and gave me a ful deck, so i had too, and everyone always looks so sad with out a cigarette at that time of the morning, and when you give them one, its like christmas for the, their face lights up '' oh duuuude your a legend, thanks heaps man, have a fucking good night bro cheers' haha you should all try it sometime
  9. im there when ever i switch on my decks i want to steal atrak's powers.gimmmmie

  11. i like it dude, that bassline is sick,i recon try getting that bassline alot clearer, like the one in harvard bass's remix of lightworks just pure square wave hah im loving those types of bass's at the moment
  12. haha thanks man ive re done it though added a vocal hook before the first drop. and changed the drums, made them more interesting. http://www.zshare.net/audio/67624147b4bee237/ check it here
  13. no, i didnt even drop my own forum to him. but will be more then happy to bring it up next time adjf that is. not sure if he likes dubstep that much hah
  14. yeah man, i met dj bam bam on the weekend, had a small chat to him then, also started talking to him on myspace. well not realy, just getting feeback for tracks from him. but at least he kind enough to respond, unlike most big names how just give people coldshoulders. was also super nice when i met him
  15. http://www.zshare.net/audio/67600239fe1c7d25/ latest dubstep tune.....think im getting the hang of this dark shit . feedback?
  16. well i recorded this the sarvo on the fly, just wanted to get a 10 min mix. its a bit dodge but will re do it tomorow and see how clean i can do it. http://www.zshare.net/audio/675947111702ea14/ cheers. feedback?
  17. Well it does, i do my mixes in ableton, and they fukin kill my live mixes. the only thing that stays the same between ableton and doing a live set is track selection. that is my own point of view though. i only wish i was skilled enough to record a flawless live mix.
  18. here is some blogs i know of. as far as i know the only 320's they give away are the ones artists have permited, or if they havnt they are ussualy quikly taken down. but you will get many lesser quality songs so you can 'review' them, but will force you to buy it if you want to play it out. if these blogs DO post illegal files. it is not my fault, and nor do i download them  http://kidcityblog.com/ http://fuckbadmusic.com http://thecurbcrawlers.com/blog/
  19. broken what track are you talking about? and yeah, we went back to candy's after it. ended up metting dj bam bam and chatting to him for a bit, super nice guy. and yeah, someone should of posted this event in the events section haha. turned out a few people went if anyone saw a guy getting around in a white shirt saying 'i was a teenage fuckup' and a DC hat. that was me
  20. yeah my mates arnt very keen on dubstep anymore after they went and saw excision with me, they rarely throw dubstep into their sets anyway, they only ussualy drop down or 9-5 by DZ. but still, was a sick night. did you go out afterwards at all?
  21. wow hahahaha all cheers
  22. yeah dude i was there too, was such a sick set, although we got in a fight with all these islanders at the start, and the split my mates head open, other then that was a wicked set. did you happen to watch slipperywhenwet dj's they were in the foyer from 10:30 to 11
  23. yeah pill, i was told the same thing. i was told to get 2 versions of satisfaction by benny bennasi and practise on that Also i think House music would be a good place to start, because it is nice and slow, ussualy has a very prominent kick that you can hear clearly. and they have long intro's and outro's so your not rushed into the transition.
  24. if your good your not aloud to enter. giving me a greater chance . haha nah man id say anyone can enter hehe well im from the gong originally but im in the uk now have my own label and a few releases under my belt... i might throw a few tunes down Whats the deal with publishing and royalites? No shit???? im from the gong as well. how long ago did you move. what type of label do you own???
