  11. yeah dude high pass filters are used to make those crazy wobble's check out mightyfools remix of badmen. or the dubstep bass's tek one makes in his tracks like hate you. they are both high pass filter wobbles im pretty sure. bit crushers are also wicked for making those talking synths
  12. signing up now!
  13. well the gig went pretty good hey. only made 2 fuckups where i missed 2 cue points where i was going to get 2 tracks that would of mashed together sick. but had tp end up mixing the intro/outro's instead...crowd wouldnt of known but:). we got asked back so im pretty stoked on that. didnt get to play all my songs but. pretty devo about that, my last 5 tracks were gonna be so sick.
  14. computer music its mainly focused on production but it is extremely good. every issue comes with a dvd with tutorials and freeware and 100s of samples. and they all go along with what is talked about in the magazine
  15. shit son this friday...so keen. deffintly going to be an all nighter. last weekend we found the sickest bar above paddy;s markets called market city tavern and it opens at 6am. its so sick to chill. were mostly playing dutch house with a bit of electro and fidget.(tracks like blur(micky slim remix) lightworks, mars(jack beats remix). and so on)
  16. yep beat matching is essential the best way about going about this is to get 2 records/cd's that are of the same song. try get something that dosent have to much going and has a realy dominant kick. like satisfaction - benny benassi. and just set them at diffrent tempo's and press play, then try beat match the other one. another thing you also need to know is the theory. a song is made up of Beats. There are 4 beats per bar. in songs sections of the track ussualy go for 16/32/48 bars. so when you want to drop a new track in. its best to do it at the start of a section (e.g the first drop/the second drop, the outro. etc etc.) and if you have chosen your tracks right, the intro to the song your brining in will be the same length as the section of the track that youll be fading out. and remember PRACTICE!
  17. i had to give all my cd's to a mate because he is shit and dosent know what blogs or beatport are. and he is yet to gie them back witch is SHIT as i need them for this weekend at candy's :( and i need to fukin practise D:
  18. NSW ftw!
  19. as well as rico tubbs and drop the lime. they have such good dj's and their tent at good vibes always provides
  20. i recon chinese laundry is sick! its so small and shit, never get massive crowds. candys'd ave to be my favorite though.
  21. only thing i could say is when your mixing try listen to those kicks and snares alot closer to make sure your in beat. i was exactly the same. to get around that i ussualy play the first 16 bars with the volume down, get the beat matching perfect. then drop it in after 16 bars when its sweet. its just like a safe haven incase you dont cue it ontime with the volume up.
  22. so you got decks ? buffering now
  23. Don't lie gerg, i saw you sneak off in shooters for a little gabba HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa shooters. i hate every single club in cavil. the play SO much bad music.
