  1. http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... pic&t=1213 Read that through, also more specific questions would be better, as in what exactly you are having trouble with, cause we don't know where you are. Again, ask ye question in that fred
  2. 4 years ago, was introduced to it on the way to the snow, also in a car with nice speakers, more or less love at first listen, twas all about the sub. I owe the last 4 years to these two tunes. (^at the time I thought it was Dubstep, mainly cause I had no idea about it)
  3. There is no way you can export mp3 in ableton so no matter what you do you will always have to convert to mp3 externally. Bouncing all your tracks to a new audio track will just result in a new WAV file in the project and you will still have to export it, hence why it would be fairly pointless unless you wanted to look at the waveform or something.
  4. Export the audio man, bouncing everything to a new audio track would be kind of redundant.
  5. They have real stuff for pouring, and fake stuff for him to drink. My mate works at the grand and he was the one sorting out the champagne
  6. You know all those bottles of champagne that he drinks on stage? They're filled with water.... *cough* poser.
  7. 11519, Id say about 20% is edm though.
  8. Alright mate, I got kinda close to it, its a pretty straight forward patch. You will need the following ingredients: - 1 x Square - Saw 1, have it all the way to sawtooth, and then bring back the tiniest bit, just listen for a bit of square coming through. - 1 x Ring modulation on the first oscillator, pan it hard left. - 1 x Lowpass 2 Filter, cutoff at about 2:00/2:30 and a tiny bit of resonance - 1 x Tele Tube, full drive, 50% wet - 1 x small reverb (adjust to taste) - 1 x EQ section, boost a bit on the highs, and use the sweepable section boost some of the high-mids - 1 x Feedback, a fair bit of it, I have it at nearly 50% - 1 x Parabolic shaper, 45% drive and about 20% wet. I chucked another EQ on after Massive and boosted some areas, mostly highs and mids, quite heavily actually (I have a high shelf of +10dB, so its pretty drastic) and Im sure he's using a bunch of external processing, but that is more or less the massive patch. From then its all about the modulationz
  9. That thing is a transient shaper, gotta watch out with them though, you'll start clipping pretty much straight away.
  10. Been a while since I posted something here, so I thought I'd chuck this in here, same vid I put in another thread. Something he doesn't go over in this though is the attack time on your compressor, if you want to add a bit more click or punch or whatever you want, to your drums, you need to have a slower attack time to let some of the transient through, in the vid he crushes the whole thing. All about the application though
  11. ...bass? No offence mate, but you aren't gonna get anywhere if you get people to spoon feed you what to do. Writing tunes isn't something that will come overnight, it takes while. If you know how to use the program then it will really come down to your creativity, you know how music sounds, mimic it.
  12. No worries man, the more questions better
  13. Just realised that post was a little vague Here is a tut of a technique thats great for making drums pop, used absolutely everywhere, Im gonna go out on a limb and say you're wither using Ableton or Logic, so here ya go. other than that, get yourself a decent transient shaper, and a bit of distortion always helps for getting a heavy sound.
  14. Just listen to songs of the same genre and more or less copy them, best way to get the ball rolling. Maybe read up on some basic music theory too, the rest will come in time
  15. Exactly why Ableton is so good, you can turn the session page into one gigantic sampler :circlebangingmetalsmilie:
  16. All in the processing man, you can make any kick or snare sound heavy.
  17. You wanna chuck up a youtube clip of the song man, Ill have a peep.
  18. Domo arrigato mr roboto
  19. nothin fancy man, just automating the step speed, like 16ths, 32nds, 64ths all that. On th second drop where it goes nuts I just got out the draw tool and went nuts haha, full on Warhol shit
