I wouldn't worry about it man, labels have bigger fish to fry than kids bootlegging. There's still labels out there making profit without paying royalties (doing vinyl only releases, but still making a fair butt load on it) and the copyright holders haven't done squat. Pretty much, unless you put it up for sale on every digital retailer in the universe, you'll be fine.

I've never used it as a MIDI controller as I don't actually own it. Tbh, I've never used MIDI controller knobs on a vst, theres so much effort in mapping it and in the end still doesn't feel the same and isn't as fun as using real gear. If you want a MIDI controller with lotsa knobs, then get a MIDI controller with lotsa knobs, not a synth with MIDI capabilities, cause there aren't many that do both well.

Alesis Microns are rad, Microkorgs are similarly rad. Neve had any experience with the Xio. I'd go Micron

Why would that make me happy?

Mastering plug ins are, by nature, very expensive, and so they should be. IMO leave the mastering for the MEs, a good mix and a solid brickwall (within reason) and a track should be club-worthy.

Cheers Foolish, appreciate it

Heres an update of my setup, got my keyboard which meant thing needed some shuffling cause its gigantic. As you can see, everything is still as hi-tech as always, gotta keep it real ya know New additions are, the keyboard of course, which was 499 (gotta love student discounts), and there are two hip high speakers under the DJ desk that have some beasty 12" woofers that shake my room nicely, they were 29 bucks from Salvos, best buy ever The stability of everything is a bit sketchy and will remain that way until I get my new desk, but it all works

Yeah we used to have dedicated mix and tune sections as well as the genre section, but it took too much attention away from the genres making them more or less redundant.
