  1. I am slightly intoxicated, so excuse me if I have read your question poorly But what you need to do is automate the on/off of the effect that you want only on that bit. You'll see a little a little circle in the top left of the effect plug which turns it on and off, just click on it once and it will bring up the automation bar, then just automate it like anything else, turn it on when clip plays and turn it off just before the next piece of audio. Eazy peas
  2. Eats Everything = BRAP BRAP BRAP! Nice mix
  3. Happy disco good times vibe. Free EP if yall dun know.
  4. Jelly of that 909.
  5. Oh yes oh yes, loving this!
  6. Oh my days.
  7. Putting up two today, don't even even give a care. This track is in serious contention for track of the year for me.
  8. I think there should be an award dedicated to Dennis.
  9. Hey folks, Got a split EP with Canadian super bro HxdB (Surefire/Frijsfo/Mindset) coming out early next year or somint. Two originals and two colabs, the originals are both kinda housey, but the colabs are more dubstep/UKG influenced I guess. http://soundcloud.com/cairodub/hxdb-cairo-ep-forthcoming This will be my last release under the Cairo moniker, and possibly forever, so yeah enjoy it or whatever. Comments and such are appreciated, and Ill bump this ish with more release info when I know it. Thanks.
  10. Good taste right here.
  11. Quality list, favs in there would be Motor City, Pearson Sound, Julio Bashmore and Ben UFO. Bashmore should be higher imo, just cause of his essential mix, absolute cracker.
  12. I thought it was over when Britney did it...
  13. I think just getting a maschine would be a bit of a bad idea, mainly because sole MPC production is usually geared towards hip hop, which according to your tastes, isn't really in the cards, and secondly, all them piano chops would be going to waste. If I was you, I'd check out demo software of all the main DAW producers, choose which ever one you like the best, get a midi keyboard, and that would probably be the most natural way to write for you imo. Maschine is a good piece of kit though, and would definitely compliment the setup I mentioned, especially if you like to smack out your beats n shiz yo
  14. If you want a decent free DAW, get Reaper
  15. I buy from discogs every now and then, haven't had any problems with any sellers, only thing thats gone wrong is one record I bought was nearly bent into an L haha, wasn't the sellers fault though, stupid Aus Post, got it de-warped at Record Store so was all good.
  16. www.remixcomps.com Wont always find what you want to remix on there, but sometimes there are some gems.
  17. I like the amp plug in Live, never had a look at there other stuff though, might check t out.
  18. Sweeps are like the funnest things to make, get super experimental and shit. If I was you I'd spend some time on it, remember, automate anything and everything
  19. You reckon you could have a go at Snoop Dogg - Beautiful (ft. Pharrel)?
  20. \:D/
  21. Obviously
  22. Great track there man, definitely keep on MJ Cole, dude has some amazing tunes. A few artist I recommend are Todd Edwards (OG Don of garage), Duncan Powell, Whistla, C.R.S.T., Synkro, Sully and Deadboy. For mixes I'd listen to Whistla's Sub.FM show and any mixes by Oneman, always got some UKG in his sets. Also check out Well Rounded Records and L2S Records, to great labels that put out a lot of UKG stuff, especially L2S which is pretty much all garage.
  23. If you have the extra dosh get the Maschine for sure, such a useful little box. Launchpads are sick too, but they're fairly Ableton-centric, so unless you're going with Live, then I wouldn't bother.
