Alright, so Ill be purchasing some new carts after christmas ans Im looking for some advice. Im looking at either shure m447/m44g or stanton 680s. Also open for other suggestions. Im sure there is someone on here thats used both, so let me know what you think of either. I think it should be really genre specific tbh. Gives peeps more of a challenge and forces you to know and understand other genres (eventually all of them after a while I guess) which is an deniably good trait for a DJ right? It may lead to not that great tunes but it will push people out of there little box.

I dont think midi keyboards use only midi ports these days, its all usb.

nah man, dont have it on my home computer, sorry. If you cant find it then theres a program by FXpansion called the vst-au adaptor, dont know if its free though...

theres a vst/au manager in logic I think.

pro tools is definately a studio recording based daw, I just started learning it at school so I might be able to help you here and there, but yeah, its kind of a bitch to move audio around quickly as far as getting it from your HD to the arrange, definately not made for MIDI programming, but that said I know I couple of people in the dubstep world using it so it is possible, but its just not dance music friendly yah knowz, but its free so have a stab, going in with no other DAW experience will be an advantage
