  1. Saturday the 2nd February Chinese Laundry welcome back one of the UK’s finest electronic live acts NATHAN FAKE. Nathans long awaited return to the Cave is one we have been hanging for, after blowing our minds during his last visit in 2009. Nathan’s live shows are an audio and visual spectacular, as he fits and jerks his way through his sets with incredible focus, elbows flailing and body contorted to impossible angles. Set Times Sand Bar 09:00 - King Lee 11:00 - DJ C-Bu 01:00 - Fingers Laundry 10:00 - Ctrl Alt Delicious 11:30 - Social Hooliganz 12:30 - PIXL 01:30 - A-Tonez 03:00 - Kiz Cave - Hosted by Symmetry 10:00 - Damien Osborne 12:00 - Club Junque NATHAN FAKE: Norfolk born and bred heir to the UK electronica throne Nathan Fake has kept fans of fuzzy-edgedsynths and pounding acidic techno beats alike guessing ever since his debut release at the tenderage of 19. And now, having just reached his 29th birthday milestone, he is back with exuberant new album main event 'Steam Days', a breathtaking landmark on Nathan Fake's road to musical maturity which Nathan has rightly branded his “best work to date”, oscillating effortlessly between both ends of the electronic spectrum to reprise both the soothing melodic indulgence and heavy dance floor assault of his albums of yore. And although a career that has been characterised by such deftly-executed electronic versatility may to the outsider appear chameleonic, schizophrenic even, one thing has remained constant throughout his decade at the electronica coalface: a very real sense of the artist behind the machines, no matter which production hat Fake may currently be sporting. 6. Saturday 19th Jan Chinese Laundry presents house music’s legends in the making Pleasurekraft (US) PLUS playing together for the first time, dance music darlings Feadz (ed Banger/FRA) and London based expat Kito (Mad Decent) having hosted all three acts separately for great sets at Laundry in the last couple of years, we can guarantee this will be a ram jammed night of upfront tunes and good times Set Times Sand Bar 09:00 - King Lee 11:00 - DJ Just 1 01:00 - DJ C-Bu Laundry 10:00 - Sydney Be Heard Djs 11:30 - KITO (Mad Decent) 01:00 - FEADZ (Ed Banger,FRA) 02:30 - U-Khan Cave 10:00 - Mars Monero 11:30 - Raulll 01:00 - PLEASUREKRAFT (USA) - 3 Hour set Doors Open at 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm Pleaseurekraft Every so often, a group comes along which shakes the entire dance scene from its very roots with a style so unique, and a sound so intoxicating, that it influences scores of imitators, and inspires a new generation of producers. Pleasurekraft is exactly such a group. The brainchild of Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh, Pleasurekraft was born in the summer of 2009. Having had their very first track played by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection, and then doing remixes for Chymera, and John Acquaviva's Definitive imprint, Pleasurekraft became a new name to keep an eye on. Fast forward to the spring of 2010, and the year's biggest smash hit, Pleasurekraft's "Tarantula" was released. It quickly earned the support of the world's biggest DJs and went on to win not only Top Tech House track at the Beatport awards in Miami in March 2011 - but took the coveted grand prize of Top Track of the Year (ALL Genres). Kito & feadz Original Ed Banger dude Parisian Feadz is heading out on tour with Australian expat Kito for a six-stop tour of Australia come January. In what’s to be Feadz’s first visit since Harbourlife ‘08. It won’t be the first time the pair have gone side-by-side: Feadz and Kito teamed up earlier this year to release their joint EP Electric Empire on Ed Banger and they’ve got another on the way in December. With Feadz owning his signature electro sound and Kito bringing hip-hop, dub stuff to the table, the Electric Empire EP makes for a seriously catchy listen. Individually, Feadz has been laying low production-wise for the last year, but Kito’s been keeping busy enough for the both of them. Since dropping her debut release on Skream’s Disfigured Dubz label and moving to the UK, Kito caught Diplo’s attention and released the Sweet Talk EP with vocalist Reija Lee on Mad Decent. 12. Saturday January 12th we are proud to present two of the hottest Australian duo’s there is Bag Raiders & Peking Duk The crafty boys of Bag Raiders are hitting up Australia over the next couple months with a huge string of dates. They'll be putting out some sweet beats to make memories to. That's right; memories. Unforgettable nights of memories. Priceless stuff. Bag Raiders are the combined talents of Jack Glass and Chris Stracey. Together, they produce the sparks of light, aural gems and sonic booms that make up one of the most sought-after up and coming duos on the planet. After dropping singles on Bang Gang 12s (Fun Punch, Turbo Love) and remixing the likes Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts and Kid Sister, the two’s reputation internationally grew, and when they released a little ditty titled ‘Shooting Stars’ they reached every dangerous, dark and smokey corner of the world, making them a household name among in-the-know indie kids, the sweaty dance faithful and the DJs across the globe. A collection of thoughts, ideas and memories, Bag Raiders transcends typical dance and pop boundaries, showcasing the creativity of a band at the forefront of modern production. The album ticks the right boxes for fans new and old, coming correct with sing-a-long choruses, deep-breath anthems, blissful chill and pure dancefloor energy. In short Bag Raiders debut album adds a new dimension in the cluttered and diluted dance world. Alongside them we also have the act everyone is talking about who have just had a Aria Number 1 Club hit .. PEKING DUK Spark up an electro fuse and a twist of house, blended with a galvanizing slowed down beat, and Peking Duk is served. Catapulting onto the Australian music scene, these Canberra bred commanders have brought to the table a little more than a knife and fork. Recently voted In The Mix’s #6 DJ for 2012, this duo hurl into incoming tune traffic showcasing an onslaught of talent validated by enviable s uccess from studio to stage. Supported by Tiesto, Steve Aoki and allies across the dance diameter, it’s no surprise when “I Love To Rap” hit buzz traps it shot straight to the ARIA Top 10 club chart and sizzled away for four weeks. Remixing Passion Pit too the groundbreaking draw card “Take A Walk” spiraling out of control attracting six digit views instantly. Taking the stage from Parklife to Foreshore, hands are high with demand on the duo for Summer’s Stereosonic, Field Day and Falls Festival. Regularly attracting overseas pioneers its those like the Bloody Beetroots who have chosen Peking Duk to lead the support role for their upcoming 2013 Big Day Out side show run. With a vibe soaring offshore too, Asia has stepped it up a notch demanding showdowns of these two electronic rockets across South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia and South Korea, also the U.S.A is in their sight for 2013. Full Line Up Laundry DUB PHIZIX & MC STATEGY (UK) Blackmale Bassriot Clockwerk Cave Smutlee (UK) Astrix Little Victims Struggles Doors Open 10pm Drink Specials from 10pm to 11pm Dub Phizix Manchester based Drum and Bass producer Dub Phizix began his obsession with music over 20 years ago. Inspired along the way by a diverse collection of artists ranging from The Yardbirds to A Tribe Called Quest, through to Photek and Bugz in the Attic. Dub Phizix, (or George to his mum) would spend hours annoying his neighbours with a Guitar, a Tape Deck and his Dad's collection of 7" Records and i n 2000 made their lives even harder when he began making Drum and Bass. 10 years into his career of music construction and Dub Phizix is an accomplished producer having made music in a variety of styles for MTV, BBC, Nokia and 4Music. Dub Phizix has released music on high profile and respected labels such as Exit, Commercial Suicide, Soul:R, Critical, Dispatch and Ingredients with Mixmag calling his music 'Essential material' 2011 has seen the total domination of the Drum and Bass scene from a tune called 'Marka'. Penned by Dub Phizix alongside regular collaborator Skeptical with guest vocals from Strategy (of Broken English), 'Marka' adhered to no known recent stylistic formulas. A rare vocal treat in Drum and Bass, 'Marka' marries staccato dancehall like rhythms with slamming bass hits and Strategys unintelligible but potent rhymes blast this off kilter anthem into other worlds. True underground Drum and Bass in 2011 will be remembered for the impact 'Marka' has had on this music. Dub Phizix has also collaborated with Future Cut, Marcus Intalex, Loxy, MC DRS, and Stray and has remixed for Panjabi MC, Skittles and Chimpo. His music is played nightly by high profile DJs such as dBridge, Goldie, Marky, Fabio, Marcus Intalex, S.P.Y, Spectrasoul and many more. Dub Phizix DJ sets have been in high demand throughout the UK and Europe including guest performances at high profile club nights like Fabric, A Bunch of Cuts, Soul:ution, Exit Records and Hospitality. Although he may be a fresh face to many, Dub Phizix' DJ sets always display his depth of knowledge of what makes a great Drum and Bass tune, mixing up often neglected classics with the freshest upfront material available to anyone. His sought after guest mixes for Kmag, DnBtv, Example Magazine and Broken Audio have caused a stir across drum and bass forums in the last year. Dub Phizix has much anticipated releases in the coming months on Exit Records, Creative Source, Commercial Suicide, Innerground, Samurai Music and more. 2011 may be the year that the world truly discovered Dub Phizix, but 2012 is set to be the year he reaches his full potential and blazes an innovative trail across the history of Drum and Bass music links to check out http://www.dubphizix.com/ http://www.facebook.com/dubphizix?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/dubphizix Smutlee When it comes to embodying the vibrant potency of the global dance music scene, DJ Smutlee has it nailed. Seamlessly navigating a course between UK Funky, bashment, hip hop, dancehall and moombahton in his sets, the London-based DJ, producer and mixtape specialist does so with a flawless ear for a tune, never skimping on the bass and always effortlessly working any crowd he plays to. It’s a bass -heavy brew that’s hard to argue with, as his track record proves: as a DJ he’s held down residencies at Fabric and YoYo, and shared the decks with the likes of Mark Ronson, Toddla T, David Rodigan, Wiley, Sinden, Dillon Francis and Jackmaster, while his productions skills have seen him tapped for a remix of Mad Decent’s Schlachthofbronx and helped him become one of the key players on the fast-rising moombahton scene, bringing his distinct bashy vibe to the new tropical bass genre. On top of all that, he can boast guest slots for on Radio 1 and Kiss FM for Toddla T and Sinden respectively, DJ support for his remixes from the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam, Rinse FM, Roska and Heatwave, as well as bookings from the big guns of the fashion world – from Nike, Adidas and Puma through to American Apparel, Maharishi and Vice magazine. Marten Hørger has been publically hailed as the bonified hero of the Stanton Warriors, the Plump DJs and Krafty Kuts, and was slated to be the man to watch by DJ Icey – all within the space of 12 months! These praises have been backed up with commissions to provide official remixes for all three superstar acts. And all this while he´s in the studio with Leeroy Thornhill (the Prodigy) to record an Album as SMASH HIFI) Not being old enough to visit a club legally Marten kick-started his musical career at the age of 15 with a residency at Douala, one of south Germanys most famous underground venues. Since that tender age, Marten has spent years DJing alongside just about every major name in German, as well as the international giants whom passed through the country. He developed his unique and aptly titled, “I don’t give a fuck”, blend of Breaks, Electro, Dubstep and Hip Hop and ever since, he’s been famous for celebrating every party like it’s his last. This reputation for being a party animal led to international bookings the world over - from Brixton to Brisbane to Ibiza and Siberia; including four Australian tours, three North American tours, and billings at major festivals and internationally renown institutions such as the Love Parade, Fabric, Shambhala, Mayday, KaZantip, Streetparde, Tresor, Breakspoll, Nature One, Notting Hill Carneval and many more. In 2006, Boogie Army exploded onto the international scene with a plethora of outstanding original and remixes releases on Labels like Westway Records, Carepack Rec, Ministry of Sound and Genepoole Recordings. The most notable release was of course, “Sex, Drugs, Rock’n’Roll”, which became one of the Breakbeat anthems of 2007 and found place on just about every mix to be compiled at the time. In late 2008, Marten began SMASH HIFI - a new Tech, Electro and Breakbeat project with the much famed, Leeroy Thornhill (formerly of the Prodigy)! Their debut single, "Everything You Need", featured a world class music video. Since then, the boys have been busy in the studio hammering out one remix after another, playing countless epic, four hour, marathon DJ Sets across the globe and more recently, working on their debut album. https://soundcloud.com/marten-horger http://www.facebook.com/marten.hoerger?fref=ts www.twitter.com/martenhorger www.soundcloud.com/marten-horger http://dj.beatport.com/martenhorger www.youtube.com/martenhorger www.myspace.com/martenhoerger www.beatport.com/artist/marten-horger/100505 www.discogs.com/artist/Martin+H%C3%B6rger

  21. It's Saturday night and you know what that means - we up the bigness here at Laundry. If you are kicking on from our wicked Pool Party with Mightyfools , or just ready to have an awesome night , then this massive line up should hit the spot First up, a man that needs no introduction (but we're gonna give him one anyway) , headlining in the Laundry is non other then Kid Kenobi KID KENOBI Just how do you sum up a career that spans 15 years and ticks every possible acheivement box? Like this: ARIA nomination? Check. Having a CD series named in his honour by one of the biggest labels in the world (Ministry of Sound). Check. Repeat inthemix DJ poll wins. Check. Remixing some of the biggest names in pop, rock and dance? Check. Killer internationally respected respected record label to call his own? (Klub Kids). Check. The ability to evolve, grow and stay ahead of a notoriously trend driven industry without compromising his own unique taste? Check. We'd go on but its getting embarrassing. If he wasn't so damn lovely you'd probably want to hate him, but unlike his looks, his talent goes for miles and we can't wait to have him grace the decks for us again. Headlining the Cave we have of the artists that you should keep your eye on in 2013 because he is destined for great things Lancelot LANCELOT With a fetish for analogue gear and a graduation certificate from Sydney's elite Conservatorium of Music some might be quick to write off Lancelot as another pretentious holier than thou producer. Well they'd be wrong. Previously writing under the AEONS moniker, Lance Gurisik's latest project is aimed square underground. Melding classical theory with modern house Lanceleot unifies music nerds and club kids alike and the result is the same: music for getting down to. With no shortage of high profile remix work and original material that appeals to the radios and the DJs we're super excited to present another ever growing name at Chinese Laundry. 22. Friday December 14th Chinese Laundry Bass Mafia present a drum n bass lineup that will keep you on the floor til 4 – with headliners straight out of the UK, Spectrasoul (Shogun Audio) & Audio (Virus Recordings) Spectrasoul (Shogun, UK) SpectraSoul have a reputation among Drum & Bass heads that's second to none. Vital members of DJ Friction's irrepressible Shogun Audio movement, the duo have released music on only the very finest, most respected labels in the scene. Beautifully deep and etched with grove, yet powerful enough to move any dancefloor, SpectraSoul's stunning musical productions are a far cry from the soulless, synthetic rave fodder so many unfortunately associate with Drum & Bass today. Tracks such as 'Alibi' for Critical,'Melodies' for Exit, 'Guardian' on Metalheadz and their stunning collaborations with Alix Perez on 'Forsaken' and dBridge on 'Glimpse', have insured SpectraSoul are one of the most talked about and respected acts in D&B today. Bridging the gap between light and dark, hard and smooth, both in the studio and their DJ performances, SpectraSoul's energetic and varied sets continue to draw crowds at some of the most prestigious venues around the world. With an album project forthcoming, the duo look to expand musical boundaries, explore bass-driven genres like never before, and stamp their mark on present-day music... the SpectraSoul way Audio ( Virus Recording,UK) Audio's first experience with electronic music was in the Early 90's with the Colin Dale and Colin Favour radio shows on Kiss 100. He was instantly hooked, and when, a few years later, the classic "Wormhole" LP on Virus recordings was released, there was no turning back and he embraced the underground family that we know and love as, Drum and Bass. Inspired to start Djing, non-stop record buying and mixing followed, and he was soon playing at local illegal raves around London. Production was the next logical step for him, experimenting with various pieces of hardware over the next few years. After a chance meeting, Audio was handed a CD with the programs Acid 1.0 and Reason 1.0, and from that moment things dramatically changed. soon afer he began releasing tracks and getting a buzz around him, From this Audio became the main produder behind Resonant Evil and went on to have releases on Renegade Hardware, G2 , Outbreak and Moving Shadow, this also lead to many opportunities DJing across Europe. Moving to present day,Audio has joined Dylan's fiendish family and has become a member of the Freak / Anger Management & Therapy Sessions cult and has been concentrating purely on his solo material, bringing His own special brand of twisted techy darkness that has been consistently demolishing dance floors all over the UK and Europe!
