  2. Your Easter weekend plans are now sorted ! Saturday 30th March we have a wicked Double international headline line up that will make you not want to leave the dance floor , both artists have previously played for us on their last tours and are ready to explode once again FAR TOO LOUD and RESET! Far Too Loud, a.k.a. Oli Cash, has gained a significant reputation in dance music for quality, dancefloor-destroying music that makes people throw their hands in the air and go crazy. Expect a high-energy mix of aggressive funk, big basslines, crazy edits and detailed production and you’ll be ready for the what FTL has to offer. RESET! is a collective based in Milano, made of 5 djs, producers and promoters. Whether it’s in the studio, behind the decks or promoting their own nights, Reset! have established themselves as an A-List act, regularly pulling in more than 2000 clubbers to their own infamous parties in Milan and clocking up the air miles playing some of the biggest parties around the world, from Hard in Los Angeles to Pacha's Closing party in Ibiza, from their Australia and South Asia own tour to the big Uk festivals. Along with a huge local line up this night is going to go off ! Full Line Up Far Too Loud (UK) Reset! (Italy) Lancelot Daniel Farley Sam Scratch Alley Oop & Cassette Fingers DJ Rubz Whitecat Morgan Georgia Doors Open 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm LOCO LAUNDRY COMBO!! Chinese Laundry and El Loco have teamed up to serve you the ultimate combo, kick-starting your night out and taking pre-drinks to another level. This deal is for Every Friday and Saturday night and covers your entry to Chinese Laundry, Two tacos, and a Margarita and will cost you only $35! That’s over $50 worth of value. Winning the “Best single” award at Breakspoll in 2007 was a huge boost early on and helped to show that Far Too Loud really has something to offer to dance music. Later that year, the track “Play It Loud” saw a move from breakbeat to big, dirty electro-house grooves with an absolutely massive response and it still remains a firm crowd-pleaser. More recently, chart smashers like “Bring Back Boogie” and “Wake Up LA” and remixes for the likes of Lily Allen and The Crystal Method have affirmed Far Too Loud as a household name in the electro-house scene. Having toured the world over, Oli is well experienced in delivering both live PA and DJ sets packed with energy. Whether it’s 200 people in a sweaty underground club or 20,000 at an outdoor festival, you can be sure it’s going to go off! Reset! Started 2007 as a party, RESET! became one of the best events in town, gathering a mixed up crowd - from indie rockers to b-boys, oldschool ravers to students - with its funk-driven electronic music, from Nu Disco to Bassline and everything in between, and taking place in the most different venues: from small underground clubs to wearhouses, from Parco Sempione (with 5000+ people!) to Magazzini Generali, the most prestigious venue in town. In 2009, after developing as the leading alternative electronic dance music event in Milano, four members of the crew summed up their unique experience in music (everyone has a long term past in the italian industry as producer, dj, composer or sound engineer, mostly in the hiphop scene) in order to build RESET! as a music project. Indeed it was after playing alongside house legends Cassius that Reset! were invited to rework the French duo's anthemic "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes" that got instant support from big djs, remained on Beatport's Indie Dance Top 10 for several weeks and featured on Mixmag cover CD. Following this breakthrough Reset!’s unmistakable funk yet banging sound has been in constant demand with the boys adding their Italian touch to a string of remixes for the likes of Fatboy Slim, Audio Bullys, Robyn, Fenech Soler, Mad Decent, Bingo Players and once again Cassius, remixing the house classic Cassius 99. Meanwhile they released 4 EP's on Herve's Cheap Thrills label, making their unique blend of huge basslines, epic breakdowns, 70's funk samples, big melodic sensibility and groovy beats - i.e. what the band defines 'Turbofunk' sound - gain an endless list of top supporters as Busy P, Justice's Xavier De Rosnay, Faithless, Armand Van Helden. Late 2011 they developped their unique live show. Already tested it with great success on a raving 2000 people crowd in Milano, they play with a full band: seven elements on stage, with drum, guitars, synths, talkbox, turntables, singers and visuals to merge the power of electro with a strong rock attitude. Currently Reset! are busy finishing their first full album: 'We tried to push the boundaries of composing club music with a more musical approach, with a lot of arrangement and vocals, mixing synths with real instruments (saxophones, guitars and talkbox) into more complex songs that keep evolving and changing from beginning to the end, having a broad range of influences - from old school funk to cosmic disco, 70's rock with some prog moments to 90's hip hop - while keeping our solid RESET! sound' , the band says.
  3. Thursday 28th March Bass Mafia presents Hospital Records' heavyweight Cyantific, along with the Prototypes, for a huge night of Drum n Bass to start your Easter weekend!! FUll lineup: CYANTIFIC (UK) [Hospital] THE PROTOTYPES (UK) [shogun Audio] Linken Mark Bionic Empress Yoy Amy Lee Big Deal Gillespie Doors Open 10pm Drink specials from 10pm til 11pm CYANTIFIC Our freelance Cyantists hail from the far flung reaches of South-West London. Award winning disk jockey Jon & twisted synth genius Matt have been making harsh tasty beats together since high school and were gathered up into the Hospital fold in summer 2002, after a tip off from High Contrast no less. A series of 12"s, remixes and compilation appearances helped to build their diehard underground fanbase. It was 2006 which saw the release of their Debut LP Ghetto Blaster; an epic album of futuristic beats which won instant plaudits from both fans and critics alike and really marked Cyantific's place in D&B history. Remix work and extensive touring followed, with Jon taking his djing to a new level. Recognised in march 2007 when Cyantific scooped the highly prized Best Breakthrough DJ award from BBC 1Xtra - It was apparent that Jon has some serious skills, and he's on a mission to spread the gospel according to Cyantific far and wide. After Cyantific gave a mixing masterclass on Hospital Mix 6 it is now, in 2009, and on Hospital Mix 7 that we grab a sneak of what he has been working on. "Empty Streets" & "Space Zombie" come straight from his studio bunker. Despite his hectic DJ schedule all over the world 2011 has been another big year for Cyantific in the studio. Finding time to produce massive remixes for the likes of Roger Sanchez and Emeli Sandé and also with his own record label releasing the huge 'Obey/Bounce It' 12. This was followed by his Ram Recordings debut the absolutely massive 'Touch me' and the flip 'Get Into It' alongside production partner in crime Wilkinson. Both releases received massive support from all the top flight dnb djs. Cyantific has also delivered another master class in mixing and selection with the '15 Years of Hospital' mix cd due out late November celebrating 15 years of operation for the acclaimed London label and packed full of classics and remixes. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> THE PROTOTYPES After an astonishing rise to fame DJ and production duo The Prototypes have rapidly become one of the most recognized names among the 'new breed' in drum and bass. Accredited as amongst the freshest and most exciting talents to emerge in recent years we are pleased and excited to announce the exclusive signing of The Prototypes to Shogun Audio. With a trademark big room sound support for The Prototypes has come from all areas including including Andy C, Friction, Sub Focus, Roni Size, Fresh, Pendulum and more. Off to a great start they were recently announced as one of ATM magazine's 2010 'Leaders of the Nu-Skool' and are proud to have hosted a UKF podcast that's reached a phenomenal 250,000 downloads and counting. Their infections track 'Cascade' has brought them massive Radio 1 support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, Fabio & Grooverider and had also earned them a highly acclaimed mini-mix as part of Jaguar Skills' 'Jag Fest'. All this plus forthcoming remixes on Ninja Tune and Sony BMG, the boys are demonstrating serious versatility. It needed to be a big release to follow up their huge anthem 'Cascade' but when the massive 'Born to Rise EP' dropped on Shogun in October 2011 it tore up the rule book on debut releases. Title track 'Born to rise' smashed raves worldwide and received support from the who's who of the bass music scene , and the anthemic 140 bpm old skool rave mash up 'Taking me over' received massive play on BBC Radio 1 from the likes of Zane Lowe and Annie Nightingale, proving that there is more depth to these boys than meets the eye. With all this going on its no surprise that remix work for The Prototypes came in the form of Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran, Avicii & Sebastien & Modestep...scoring them A-list play on no other than MTV's famous dance channel 'MTV Dance'. Sitting amongst the Shogun camp, The Prototypes will no doubt bring a different angle to the current spectrum and are a welcome addition to the shogun family. Interesting things to come from these ones; be prepared for some fatal releases, and even an LP in the near future. 10. Friday 22nd March we look forward to another huge BOSS BASS night this time with the one & only UTAH JAZZ headlining One of Drum n bass genres Royalty with "its a jazz thing" one of the best packages of all time, utah jazz - http://www.facebook.com/UtahJazzMusic/info His performance at Chinese Laundry was talked about as one of the "Sets of The Year" and we think this one could be even better ! Throwaway D&B this is not. This is fine wine matured specially for the head and the feet: rich in spice, sass and soul. Forget the alco-pops and cheap vodka: Utah Jazz deals in VINTAGE... For when it comes to pedigree, the Jazz is indeed a rare breed: a personal apprentice to D&B’s old masters (ALEX REECE, LTJ BUKEM, BRYAN GEE) whose love for both DJ booth and studio saw him emerge as a pioneer on both fronts over the ensuing decade. Representing some of the most hallowed stables in the game - V RECORDINGS, GOOD LOOKING, HOSPITAL - Luke Wilson has fully lived up to his tag of “drum and bass royalty in the making” (Knowledge magazine), building a devoted following of enthusiasts for his mesmerising compositions and eye-popping DJ skills. The electric versatility of his soulful dancefloor style has made Luke Wilson one of the most sought-after DJs on the international stage. Mixing anything from 1993 LTJ Bukem classics to the latest Sub Focus banger, Utah Jazz is a party-bringer like no other, with one-off dubplates, three-deck mixes and old-skool razzledazzle bursting from his bag of tricks. In a matter of months he has defined a whole new genre of forward-thinking underground house music that draws elements from classic house, UK bass music, Detroit techno, jungle and early rave, paying homage to everything from Randy Crawford to Ray Charles and Murk to MK. Eats Everything is at the forefront of a new wave of talented producers coming out of Bristol, the West Country’s Bass Central, that includes Julio Bashmore, Laurie Appleblim and Waifs & Strays. In addition to this, his now defunct ,‘Coat Of Arms’ side project with Chris James has already gained widespread praise with ‘This Is Something’ signed to Jamie Jones’ new fabric mix compilation from Bristol’s iconic Futureboogie label. While some producers spend years finding their feet, Dan made a clear statement of intent with ‘Entrance Song’ his debut release on Catz N Dogz ‘Pets Recordings’ label that was chosen by Pete Tong as his runner up as biggest tune of last summer, only pipped to the post by Jamie Jones’ iconic remix of ‘Hungry For The Power’ by Azari & III. ‘Entrance Song’ was championed all summer long by the likes of Seth Troxler, Carl Cox, Jamie Jones and Jon Digweed and was a major contributing factor to him being charted as the number twelve most charted producer of 2011 on Beatport and the number 18 most charted producer on Resident Advisor, no mean feat given that he only started releasing records in the second half of the year. By the end of last year, Dan had set a record by being the first dance music producer to have two different tracks featured on two different shows on Radio One for thirteen consecutive weeks. With huge support from Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Andy George & Jaymo, Eats Everything has rapidly become the toast of the UK airwaves. http://twitter.com/eats_everything http://soundcloud.com/eatseverything http://www.youtube.com/MrEatsEverything http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/eatseverything http://dj.beatport.com/eatseverything Bio - Baauer NYC clubkiller Baauer aka Harry Rodrigues hasn’t been on the scene long – just 23 years old the last few months have cast him the poster child of this contemporary US fusion of dance and rap music. With a stellar selection of remixes and the elephantine anthem that is ‘Harlem Shake’ (Mad Decent/Jeffrees) under his belt – he has defined ‘Trap Music’ at it’s very best. Already clocking play across the globe c/o TNGHT, Rustie, Diplo, A-Trak, Skrillex, Benji B, Toddla T, Araab Muzik, Oneman, Jackmaster, Skream & Benga and Nick Grimshaw – the few Baauer songs have been primetime staples & a proper release has been hotly anticipated. http://www.facebook.com/baauermusic // https://twitter.com/Baauer // https://soundcloud.com/Baauer // http://instagram.com/Baauer
