  4. Saturday the 24th of August Chinese Laundry plays host to one of the most forward thinking and technically skilled acts in electronic dance music - Hybrid Soundsystem. One of those acts who always deliver something special, each time Hybrid have graced the Chinese Laundry decks, be it in the Cave, or at our infamous garden parties, they deliver an experience that is almost unmatchable, and will have you moving on the dance floor from start to finish. If you have not yet caught a Hybrid set then do yourself a favour and head to the Cave for what is sure to be one of the most talked about shows this year! This is also the Sydney show for A-Tonez & Ocean's "Game Changer Tour" and they are joined by Australias #10 ranked DJ EMBER in the Laundry Cave Hybrid (UK) - 4 hour set Kerry Wallace Laundry - The Game Changer Tour A-Tonez Ember Ocean Katie Valentine Sand Bar Fingers Goodfella King Lee Doors Open 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm Hybrid: Since first bursting onto the scene with the now classic album Wide Angle in 1999, the Swansea, Wales-based Hybrid have been known as one of the most forward thinking and technically skilled acts in electronic dance music. Blurring the line between in-studio production and live presentation, Hybrid are one of the few remaining dance acts to perform live with a classic band setup. Though, much has changed on the road to Hybrid's fourth artist album Disappear Here. Most notable is the addition of Hybrid's third member - singer/ songwriter Charlotte James - to go along with founders Chris Healings and Mike Truman. Charlotte's impact is marked as Disappear Here is truly an album of real songs and not merely dance beats with vocals on top. It offers a lot more than anything Hybrid has ever previously written and pushes boundaries in every way. With Disappear Here, Hybrid have managed to create an epic and unique sound which has progressed dramatically from its original dance inception but still retains much of what makes electronic music so exciting. The album features guest vocals from Tim Hutton, drums from Alex Madge and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. 5. Friday 23rd August Chinese Laundry presents a night of tasty bass headed up by BIG CHOCOLATE from the US, along with tropical trapstyle producer LDRU (Future Classic), and future-bass stylist PACES (Symbols Rec / one half of Surecut kids) PLUS a Drum N Bass Cave with Linken, Typhonic & Thierry D Full Lineup: LDRU Paces Linken Thierry D Typhonic Electronic Doors Open 10pm Drink Specials from 10pm til 11pm Links to Check Out Big Chocolate https://www.facebook.com/bigchocolateofficial https://soundcloud.com/big-chocolate LDRU https://www.facebook.com/theldru https://soundcloud.com/theldru Paces https://www.facebook.com/PacesFanPage https://soundcloud.com/paces Bio BIG CHOCOLATE: Big Chocolate is as incessantly prolific as he is multi-faceted, cranking out destructive electro beats, hyper aware video blogs and hotly sought-after remixes in equal measure, even as he tours as a live act with an energetic presence appealing to Electronic Dance Music devotees and Vans Warped Tour crowd-surfers alike. The twenty-something provocateur, whose passport features more stamps than his peers and whose driver’s license reads Cameron Argon, crests atop the wave of what the press has called the “Summer of Electronic Dance Music” alongside such luminaries as Skrillex, Deadmau5 and David Guetta while keeping both feet firmly planted in the gritty underground where he cut his teeth as part of the Southern California metalcore scene churning out breakdowns via his one-man-band side project Disfiguring The Goddess. Big Chocolate’s eclectic nature, feverish work ethic and good-natured charm has resulted in no less than a full-length album, several well-received EPs, remixes for top-tier underground acts like Asking Alexandria, As I Lay Dying and former Hollywood Undead frontman Deuce, national tours with bands like Dance Gavin Dance and Breathe Carolina and a side project with Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker, to name but a few endeavors. With a constantly updated stream of content, Big Chocolate is emblematic of everything that is “now” in youth culture. The guy posts videos everyday (include link). The prejudices, misconceptions and unnecessarily protective barriers between musical genres have crumbled. The age of the iPod has gifted music fans with a shuffle mode that turns once disparate groups into nearly unrecognizable amalgamations. Much, much more than a producer, DJ, Vlogger, a former metalhead from the OC hardcore scene, or a sought after remixer, Big Chocolate is the sum of all of his parts and is powering forward as a multi-faceted and always entertaining artist, the type of guy who can be called upon to produce bouncing hip-hop, glossy pop or darkly gritty industrial, or anything else his young mind can conjure at any given moment: sometimes within the confines of the same project. To understand Big Chocolate is to understand the whole picture, to understand right now Bio - LDRU Say hello to Drew Carmody, a 19-year-old promising producer and DJ from Sydney, who has been crafting tunes under the moniker L D R U. L D R U's debut track, 'The Tropics', has garnered into the 100,000 plays on SoundCloud, and the video clip was premiered upon the POTATOwillEATyou page. Bio - Paces Mikey Perry, aka Paces, has been a busy guy. Whether he's being named a 'Top New Producer to Watch' by inthemix; receiveing national airplay love on triple j; remixing the likes of Parachute Youth, YesYou and Sampology; supporting beat-maker extraordinaire Lunice; or having his bootleg of "Angels" (The xx) receive over 20,000 plays on Soundcloud (cracking the 'Top 20 Most Popular' tracks on HypeM).. He certainly shows no signs of slowing down. Paces' unique sound, a moody combination of 808 drums, chopped vocal samples, synths, wonky pianos and harps could sit at home amongst any of his musical idols. Think Ta-Ku, SBTRKT, The Postal Service and Mount Kimbie. In May 2013 his debut EP THE PACT is due for release on Kastles' visionary US label Symbols (their first ever Australian release), and with a host of exciting collaborations/remix projects in the works, the future for Paces is looking bright.
  6. Saturday 17th August we are excited to announce the return to Sydney of Techno legend SPEEDY J Jochem Paap (the Rotterdam artist owes the nickname Speedy J to his DJ skills) is unanimously considered to be one of the first techno producers to come from the Benelux. Together with people like Laurent Garnier, Aphex Twin and Richie Hawtin he helped raising the genre just after it had escaped the Detroit delivery room. Speedy J has not toured to Australia for a number of years and the Techno community have been gagging at the thought of seeing him especially after recent shows from Chris Liebing & Tommy Four Seven Links to Check Out https://www.facebook.com/djspeedyj https://soundcloud.com/jochempaap http://www.speedyj.com/ http://www.electricdeluxe.net/ Plus not only do we have one of the biggest ever names in Techno , we also have a huge line up in the Laundry headlined by Jeff Drake (The Only) , A-Tonez and more Full Line Up Sand Bar 09:00 - King Lee 11:00 - Fingers 01:00 - DJ C-Bu Laundry 10:00 - Daniel Farley 11:15 - Wolfpack 12:30 - Dave Winnel 01:30 - Jeff Drake 02:45 - A-Tonez Cave 10:00 - Andrew Wowk & Qu-Zen 11:30 - Methodix 01:00 - SPEEDY J (Holland) Bio - Speedy J Since the early nineties, Speedy J releases on labels like Plus 8, Warp and Novamute. But while techno develops into a dominating force on many dance floors worldwide, Jochem Paap, after the albums G Spot (1993) and Ginger (1995), turns left and heads for other exciting places. On Public Energy No. 1 (1997) and A Shocking Hobby (2000) the sound wizard exchanges flowing, harmonious techno for a much more complex sound, filled with colliding samples, crackling rhythms and tremendously thrilling turns. After fifteen years of techno Speedy J now has come full circle. But what a wide circle it was, and how fickle the trodden path. Over the years he has collaborated with video-artists, filmmakers and advertisers, made the pioneering DVD Umfeld, an audio-visual, electronic trip, which sets the standard for many composers who want to compose for six speakers in the coming years – remarkably made available as a free download on the internet. But not only that, Speedy J has continuously been pushing the boundaries of electronic & experimental dance music. Blurring the lines between Live performance and Digital Djing, he fuses subversive electronics and peak time Techno. Together with his partner in crime Chris Liebing he started using Traktor and other Software technology on 4 laptops with hardware such as Machine Drum and 303’s to create a fully integrated set. Again he is spearheading a way of DJing that is picked up by a lot of other forward thinking electronic artists. Logically, the releases on his label Electric Deluxe all feature tool versions, introducing the concept of creating unique live sets from parts as a natural evolution of Djing. Not only setting the bar for peak hour Techno madness, Electric Deluxe becomes the platform for his Collabs series that started on Novamute, as well as releases by open minded artists like Chris Liebing, George Issakidis, Tommy Four Seven and Terrence Fixmer to showcase the value of creative synergy using newest technology. Another strong part of this idea is the introduction of a new series of techno events called Electric Deluxe presents, which in a young history of just a couple of editions brought major artists like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Radio Slave, Matthew Dear, Chris Liebing into play. Speedy J’s musical vision is genre blurring, creative freedom at the highest level of innovation and quality, it is providing a platform for artists operating within any conceivable genre in the broad spectrum of techno to fully explore and embrace the ever-expanding technological possibilities. 8. Saturday August 10th Chinese Laundry presents line up that is way beyond exciting, headlined by one of the legends of the business FUNCTION of SANDWELL DISTRICT in the Cave One of techno's true underground heroes, Function (Dave Sumner) has been DJing and making music for over 15 years. Hailing from New York, he was seduced by techno music when Jeff Mills held a residency (as well as his own first) at the Limelight in the early 90s. Dave started to produce music and from the mid-90s onwards, put out music on Damon Wild's Synewave and his own Infrastructure imprint. Together with Regis (Karl O'Connor) he worked as Portion Reform, putting out uncompromising music on Downwards and becoming the only non-Birmingham producer to release on the label. In 2008 Dave moved to Berlin, still working with Regis, and now Silent Servant (John Mendez), put his focus on the acclaimed Sandwell District imprint. Since, the label-now-come-collective, has skyrocketed into cult status. Decentralizing the artist ego, Sandwell District has blurred the lines between the artist, label and dj, re-arranging the DNA of modern dance music. In The Laundry we have a collection of some of Sydney's leading Hands in the Air style Electro Djs Such as Pixl & Gemellini Set Times Sand Bar 09:00 - DJ Eko 11:00 - Fingers 01:00 - Samrai Cave 10:00 - Kerry Wallace 11:30 - U-Khan 01;00 - FUNCTION (USA,SANDWELL DISTRICT) Laundry 10:00 - Ctrl Alt Delicious 11:15 - Front To Back 12:15 - Pixl 01:30 - Gemellini 03:00 - Vareso Sand Bar Samrai DJ Eko Fingers Doors Open 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm Links Function (Sandwell District) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Function ... ?ref=br_tf http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/function https://soundcloud.com/r_co/function-sandwell-district https://soundcloud.com/platform/br-brln-function
  9. Friday August 9th is a blockbuster event, with the first Australian tour of American Bass Artist CRIZZLY who introduces himself thus; “I'm Crizzly. I'm from Texas. I make Crunkstep.” A pretty humble self-description considering his unique fusion of crunk swag with incendiary US-style bass has seen his productions go viral and put him behind the decks all across the states on just about every huge bass show you could name. The hype on this has been huge since the announcement so it should be a very good night indeed. As well as Crizzly there is a huge swathe of local talent lined up for you, including Nantnoiz, Samrai, Matt Ferriera & Jace Disgrace. 10. Chinese Laundry in association with Brown Bear Entertainment present our biggest garden party yet - featuring exclusive DJ sets from BOOKA SHADE & DIGITALISM! Date - Saturday 26th October Venue - Ivy Courtyard Running time - 12Midday til 8pm TICKETS ONSALE NOW - GET IN QUICK - $45 EACH FOR A HARD COPY INDUSTRY TICKET CONTACT THE BELOW ASAP scottyslaundry@gmail.com http://www.facebook.com/its.scott.james http://www.facebook.com/scottyslaundry Booka Shade After producing music together for more than 25 years Berlin-based duo Booka Shade have emerged as one of the rare electronic music acts that channel the spirit and sounds of underground techno, but who can ignite any festival crowd, winning over fans across the rock and dance music scenes. Co founders of get Physical Music with M.A.N.D.Y Booka Shade are world renowned for Anthemic tracks such as 'Mandarine Girl', 'In White Rooms' and 'Body Language' In addition to their energetic live shows (named by the cutting-edge electronic music hub "Resident Advisor" as one of the world's Top 5 live acts), Booka Shade also enjoy moving crowds with their DJ sets. In 2012, they were hand picked by BBC Radio 1's Pete Tong to mix his annual "All Gone Ibiza" compilation. Memorable DJ appearances so far this year have included the Space Ibiza opening party, as well as a range of US festivals including the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. Their most recent DJ mix also reached #1 on the Beatport charts. Digitalism Some bands are dance and some are indie, some are pop and some are punk, but very few cover all bases with equal aptitude and pizzazz. Digitalism certainly do. The duo came together when Jens, working afternoons in Hamburg's Underground Solution record shop, became mates with Ismail 'Isi' Tufekci, who worked at a vinyl distributor. Isi and Jens bonded and became a DJ tag team. In jokey tribute to Bob Sinclar's Africanism All Stars Project and to their own love of electronic dance music, they scribbled the word 'Digitalism' on the CDs to identify them for playing out. Their 2005 tune 'Zdarlight' put them on the radar of a new network of young DJs across the globe pushing club culture in a heady rock'n'roll direction. Digitalism were leaders in a vanguard of producers who broke through in the mid-Noughties, supported by DJs such as Erol Alkan and labels such as Parisian hipster magnet Kitsune, to whom they were signed. Soon they'd honed a live show that became hugely in demand and took them all over the world, with firing tunes such as 'Jupiter Room' and 'Pogo' backing up the hype alongside remixes for Depeche Mode, Daft Punk , The Klaxons and many more before cutting back to a few DJ dates a month so they could concentrate on crafting the new album 'I Love You, Dude' in their Hamburg bunker studio. Digitalism have always dragged indie kids to their electronic party and now they have yet more ammunition. Like all energized rockin' music there's a heavy seam of madness in Digitalism's sound, that gives the Prodigy a run for their money. 13. Saturday August 3rd Laundry welcomes back 2 of the most exciting names in Australian dance music MOTEZ (Say Wat Records) & residents PEKING DUK Motez is one of the freshest electronic producers to come out of this country since Flume reminded us we even had electronic producers, the Baghdad-born honorary Southern Australian is breaking all kinds of rules and winning over hearts and ears in the process Widely respected for his ingenious, innovative remixes of some of R&B and pop’s biggest names (think Mark Morrison’s ‘Return Of The Mack’, Justin Timberlake’s ‘Like I Love You’ and more recently, an amazing rework of Frank Ocean’s ‘Thinking About You’), Motez is a computer whizkid who also happens to be a devoted musical appreciator. You’ll hear this talent in his original work, too. Largely instrumental, it puts a new spin on the garage-infused funky house that’s sweeping dancefloors at the best clubs in the world right now. Ready for midnight sets and all up in your headphones, his debut EP has already been snapped up by Dave Spoon’s Food Music label, with another on the way for Say Wat records. MOTEZ: South Australia’s got a new feather in its cap, and he goes by the name of Motez Obaidi.. Turns out Adelaide can produce something awesome other than Aussie hip-hop after all. When he takes on a track, it transforms into an entirely different beast. Falsetto vocals sink deep, half-time beats turn into blistering house grooves, and bass lines get an entirely new, subsonic reupholstering. Get to know Motez now, because it’s not just his Mum that loves him. His beats have been dropped in sets by Claude Vonstroke, Nick Catchdubs (Fools Gold),Tommie Sunshine, Justin Martin and Eats Everything, and spun by some of the most respected DJs in radio, including Diplo and DJ Monki for BBC 1Extra. Oh, and then there was that Stanton Warriors remix that hit #5 on the ARIA club charts. No biggie. Kid Kenobi reckons he’s a genius, Larry Tee says you should keep an eye on him, and Mitzi and Elizabeth Rose are already signing on to have their work undergo the famous Motez surgery. Open your ears and your heart to Motez. This many top billing DJs and a Mum can’t be wrong. Well you’d have to ask The Only and something tells us they’d say “it feels pretty f*cking good, thanks”. The Only’s debut single ‘The Only F*cking Rave Party’ landed in the ARIA Singles Chart Top 50, ahead of its official release and without any radio play. This atomic tune went on to hit #1 on the Australian Independent Music Chart and become the #1 Australian Artist Dance Single in the country. Coupled with their live show favourite ‘Dancin’ as the B-side, the single set up residence in the iTunes dance chart where it spent more than 6 months and established The Only as amongst the hottest new young electronic acts. http://www.vimeo.com/9488150 With a grand entry such as that, it wasn’t long before ears began pricking up all over the globe, with artists including The Bloody Beetroots, The Subs, AC Slater, Larry Tee and Tocadisco all reverently pushing The Only’s sound. Even Hipster Demi-God Steve Aoki has stood straight up and taken notice, including ‘The Only F*cking Rave Party’ on his Sessions mix compilation. Steve Aoki has not only championed The Only worldwide, supporting their tracks in his DJ sets but quickly got them on board to remix for his infamous DIM MAK record label. The Only quickly caught the ear of Ministry of Sound Australia who enlisted them to mix their Electro House Sessions 3 compilation. For their mix CD, The Only weaved together a daring blend of music from their favourite artists such as Fake Blood, Sub Focus & Vitalic alongside their own productions into an edgy & intense mix that saw the release hit #1 on the iTunes Albums Chart & #3 on the ARIA Compilations Chart. Want to know how to win friends and influence people? Ask The Only. Having lent their trademark sound to remix artists including Dizzee Rascal, Armand Van Helden, The Subs, Lazerkraft 3D, Drop The Lime, Gtronic, Mighty Fools, Bombs Away & more. • The Only’s remix of GTronic for Dim Mak was featured on music bible RCRDLBL.com and found its way into the RCDLBL Top 10 for February 2011. • Their Lazerkraft remix peaked at #1 on the Official German Dance Club Chart. • Their remix of Bombs Away – Swagger has been included on 3 compilation CDs already in Australia and counting, including now being licensed across Europe & the UK. So what do these newly crowned dons of “getting your f*cking rave on” do when it comes to touring? Like everything else The Only, they have taken a non-traditional approach and as a result, have established themselves as one of the most exciting new live electronic acts to emerge in Australia this year. The Only are performers NOT DJs and they are certainly not content to be like every other dance music act. The Only have earned places on leading festivals such as Big Day Out, Splendour In The Grass, Field Day, Groovin The Moo & Foreshore Festival, as well having played sold out club shows and created blood baths in the hottest clubs and venues across the country including Family Nightclub, Chinese Laundry, The Met, Villa, Academy, HQ, Manning Bar & more. All this is from a band that has existed for less than 2 years. And the future shows no signs of slowing down. https://soundcloud.com/theonly https://www.facebook.com/liketheonly?ref=ts&fref=ts

Along with a handful of his fellow countrymen, the Israeli is now at the forefront of a movement towards the melody-rich and emotionally charged roots of the House music spectrum. Guy’s productions have earned praise for their tight, driving beats, shimmering, warm synths and blossoming, journey like arrangements. Straddling the lively, timeless space between ambient, house, techno and electronica he constantly maintains a melodic and highly emotive core to his music. After setting floors alight with a volley of killer singles, Guy released his hotly anticipated full-length artist album ‘Esperanza’ on John Digweed’s heavyweight Bedrock label in 2008. In classic Guy J fashion the whole album is a musically dense and diverse trip that is as dynamic as it is organic, keeping you hanging on ‘til the very last drop has poured out of the speakers! Now, in the heady aftermath of recent essential cuts like his ‘Lamur’ single on Bedrock, the ‘Pleasurety EP’ on Sudbeat, or ‘Shaman’ for Turbo records, and a string of tantalizing remixes for the likes of Global Underground and more, we await Guy’s second artist album which is currently in the works. This summer season has seen Guy traveling far and wide with gigs at festivals like Global Gathering, Tommorowland, and tours to South America, Australia, USA and beyond! YUKSEK: Yuksek (Pierre-Alexandre Busson) is a French electronic music producer, remixer, composer and DJ. He started his career under the name Yuksek after 10 years learning piano at The Conservatoire and playing in several bands. He gained popularity as a DJ all over the world and later with his band. His debut album, ‘Away from the Sea’, was released in 2009. This album includes the singles ‘Tonight‘ and ‘Extraball’ and received a lot of audience and media attention. Last year, Yuksek released his second album ‘Living on the Edge of Time’ after 2 years touring. This album took a pop direction but Yuksek’s electronic flow was still there. In the same time he was working on his own productions: Yuksek produced Birdy Nam Nam second album ‘Manual For Successful Rioting’ in 2009, The Bewitched Hands debut album ‘Birds And Drums’ in 2010 and is now working on Juveniles debut album (a French electro-pop band from France). Also known as one of the front runners of the new wave of French electro, Yuksek was (and still is) in demand for remixes and has done many for artists such as Gossip, Phoenix, Gorillaz, Lady Gaga, Oh Land, Chromeo, Mika, The Shoes, The Young Professionals, First Serve feat. De La Soul, Moby, Amanda Blank, Zombie Nation, The Prodigy and so on…
  19. Friday the 19th of July is THE MANE EVENT at Chinese Laundry featuring a special set SAMPOLOGY whose skills on the wheels of steel have seen him tour all over the world - and when you chuck in party fiends THE MANE THING and a bit of bass from BROOKLYN ZOO you are in store for an epic night. SAMPOLOGY: Sampology is no ordinary turntable technician. His legendary “Super Visual” AVDJ series has earned him an undeniable reputation as one of the leading Audio Visual DJs, playing a number of the world's greatest music, film and arts festivals including Big Day Out, SXSW, Big Chill Festival, Berlin Music Festival, Falls Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sydney Festival, Tropfest and Adelaide Fringe Festival. He's unlike your regular artist releasing singles, EPs and albums, and touring live music venues and clubs around the world. (Although he does a lot of this too!) In 2011, Chris Lilley of Angry Boys/Summer Heights High fame hand picked Sampology to produce an audio and video remix for S.Mouse on his Angry Boys Soundtrack release, and iconic Australian act The Wiggles came to Sampology as their go-to man for an audio and video remix on their 20th anniversary tribute album “ReWiggled”. Following his debut “Super Sounds EP” release in 2011 on Finland label Top Billin, Sampology released his debut album, 'Doomsday Deluxe' in June 2012 coinciding with his Super Visual Apocalypse tour, hitting the road in Australia and New Zealand in May and June before touring Canada in September 2012. The second single from Doomsday Deluxe, 'Around The Globe featuring Serocee' is released on Friday October 5, supported by a 14 date DJ tour across Australia and New Zealand in October and November. THE MANE THING: The Mane Thing is the unhinged product of their three life partners; beer, beards and music. It’s been one hell of a ride since they first got together in late 2009, having moved on from their early club music to being one of the pioneers of championing the moombahton style in Australia from 2011 onwards. They’ve had moombahton releases on Cheap Thrills, Hussle (MOS), One Love, Central Station, Vicious Bitch, Klub Kids and Sweat It Out. 2012 was a big year for the boys with the release of their “Bring Ya Booty” EP, remixing local artists from Tom Piper to Too Fresh, helping compile One Love’s Bass Xpolosion CD with a focus on moombahton and the rising trap genre propelling a subsequent national tour to critical acclaim. They were also a massive hit at festivals Creamfields, Parklife and Stereosonic. To say they had a busy year would be the understatement of the decade. 2013 got off to a strong start for the boys with the release of their moombahton collaboration “Perfect 10” with New-York based Sazon Booya on Klub Kids debuting at #36 in the ARIA charts and the Flume certified bootleg of “Holdin On” which racked up over 10000 plays on Soundcloud within a few days. Their collaboration “Every Nation” with Kyro & Bomber feat Oh Snap on vocals first heard on the Bass Xplosion CD—which is on the bass-heavy side of moombahton—is due out in March on One Love with a strong remix package. The lads have also been hard working on remixes for a few big named Australian artists as well as starting on a new EP working with talented vocalists from Australia and abroad. The year ahead looks to be another massive one for the lads. Stay tuned! 22. Saturday the 13th of July Chinese Laundry brings you a night of quality music and a massive triple headline bill, featuring PETER MAYES from Pnau and Empire Of The Sun ISAAC TICHAUER from U.S label French Express, AND the legendary KID KENOBI!! PETER MAYES: Peter Mayes is an Australian musician and producer widely known for being a leading member of dance act Pnau. He is longtime collaborator with Nick Littlemore and has produced and mixed many of his projects, most notably the platinum selling album Walking on a Dream, for Empire of the Sun, and the art-rock act Teenager. He has also done work with Elton John, Mika, Karen O, The Killers, Ellie Goulding, Sia, ESG, Lover Lover and Van She. Indeed it’s an impossible task trying to resist running them off. From being named Australia’s favourite DJ for a record number 3 years from 2003 – 2005, receiving an award for his first remix ever (of Green Velvet’s “La La Land’ ), to an ARIA nomination for ‘The Bump’ with Hook N Sling, knocking up over 50 remixes for some of the world’s biggest names in dance, pop and rock, being the first DJ ever to have a CD series named after him by Ministry of Sound, to having an itinerary that reads like a Lonely Planet guidebook to the best nightclubs around the world, Kid Kenobi has just about done it all. It’s almost become a cliché to say that there isn’t much left for him to do. And yet perhaps the Kids greatest triumph of all is his ability to keep on evolving and growing as an artist. Music trends come and go, clubbers retire, scenes change, and awards gather dust but Kid Kenobi, it seems, is here to stay. http://www.facebook.com/kidkenobiofficial?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/kidkenobi ISAAC TICHAUER: Isaac Tichauer is a story unfolding rapidly. Here’s what Perseus had to say about his debut album release on French Express. “Over the past 6 months, Isaac has prepared his first ever original offering, Devotion. Without frothing everywhere, let’s put into perspective the magnitude of this album. Devotion contains 9 tracks (1 hour & 13 seconds worth of listening). 9 tracks of ethereal, atmospheric, metaphysical, tropical & tribal house music. A full-length of this sort deserves every bit of praise, especially with Isaac taking his first real leap of faith into the desolate genre-less fields of the current music industry for the first time. We all know what it’s like to water the sand… What shocked me most, is that I’ve known Isaac for over 3 years, and all this time I hadn’t known that he’s without hearing in his left ear. Initially born completely deaf, the doctors were able to luckily heal his right ear. Producing with limited hearing might seem like flying on one engine to most of us, but is totally natural for the dude who only knows mono. Suck it, Beethoven! http://www.facebook.com/IsaacTichauer?fref=ts https://soundcloud.com/isaac-tichauer Plus we have the Mantra collective Hosting the Cave & a huge line up including Ember & Natnoiz’s debuts as Chinese Laundry residents All 3 rooms will be exploding with good tunes Full Line Up Peter Mayes (Pnau/Empire Of The Sun) Kid Kenobi Isaac Tichauer (French Express) Ember Natnoiz U-Khan Whitecat Space Junk About Jack Antoine Vice Fingers Samrai GG Magree Doors Open at 9pm Drink Specials from 9pm til 11pm
