  1. Hi guys, I am looking to sell my Numark NS7 controller, along with the road case and NSFX rack. Comes with the Serato Itch software CD too. The decks are in great condition. Reason for selling it is because I have recently bought some new decks and looking to clear some space. Looking for $1100 ono. Thanks Mulli 04227482351
  2. Hey guys, So I bought the Traktor S4 and after playing around with it for a while now I have done a mix. Would love for some constructive feedback guys! One of the things people have told me is my treble is too high and hisses? I think I may have stuffed something up during mix down. Enjoy! http://www.soundcloud.com/djmulli/trap
  3. Sorry late reply guys yeh i know what you mean the current state isnt that good at the moment, but hopefully it will get better with the likes of Kendrick Lamar. anyway hope its useful at somestage!
  4. Thanks heaps guys!
  5. Hey guys I have been to the Aviary in Perth and the botanica and just wanted to know what the genre was that they play at those venues so i can try get my hands on that genre of music n put some mixes together. Im hoping im in the right thread! Im mainly into hip hop music so venturing out and learning new genres is still pretty raw! I know the stuff at aviary was sorta sam sparro, and sneaky sound system style and at the botanica the tracks were awesome remixes of top 40 songs. any help would be appreciated! Thanks
  6. Hey guys, Thought I would share a website I get my mixtape tracks from. Obviously these songs are meant to be free and made available to the fans, and sometimes the quality may not be the best but 9/10 they are good. Individual songs, untagged, and full mixtapes get posted regularly. www.dopehood.com Enjoy and hope its of some use to you! Thanks Mulli
  7. Hey guys i went and picked up my s4 and roadcase yesterday. gonna hook it all up soon and have a go at traktor ill keep you posted! =) Mulli
  8. Thanks guys, ill go the S4 =)
  9. Which one mate the ergo?
  10. Thanks guys, Your confirming my thoughts. Its good to get your feedback. I think the thing that caught my eye with the Pioneer was the price point but obviously theres a reason. Its hard to make a decision also, without having a good play around with the unit as half the time when they are available on display they are never connected! grrrr Thanks Mulli
  11. Thanks for the info dude appreciate it =)
  12. Hey guys, I have done a bit of research online and on this forum regarding the two units but cant make up my mind. I have been DJing for a couple of years now and at the moment I am using a Numark NS7 controller, and I need something more portable for weddings and house parties with the ability to add a separate mixer to it for additional microphone inputs. I also want to record mixes and put them on soundcloud and my budget is around the $1k mark. Sorry if this has already been covered guys and I look forward to your advice. Thanks Mulli
  13. Yeah man they have good stuff so far almost all my gear is from them. They are really helpful and I have found their customer service is excellent in both the lighting area and dj area (ossie park store). I think price wise if you can find another place eg jb hi fi that does the same equipment at a cheaper price, they will price match it and beat it by however many percent also on written quotes. Good luck!
  14. Im all good bro wbu? Went to kosmic sound today n checked out some gear! Feel lile a kid in there so much cool stuff
  15. Haha thanks guys I dont DJ in clubs myself I mainly would be using it for the mixtape stuff =) Ill give your recommendations a crack and see what works best. I got a few off youtube to use on my last mixtape but wanted to get a bit more personalised with it. Didnt get any luck with radiodaddy.com so I might see if twitter can get me anything. Thanks again guys appreciate your input.
  16. Thanks guys!! Sorry for the late response!
  17. Hey Matty I havent tried the text to vocal yet but i will give it a try! Im sure i could find something i may be able to use. Most of my chick mates sound a bit funny on the microphone. They sound like they are about 10 years old (which they aren't haha). I might have to try and layer my vocals in garageband...add some reverb/effects and panning but i really wanted that pro sound you hear on the mixtapes and in clubs
  18. Haha thanks man, was reading the threads seems like a lot of us on here hey! haha
  19. Thanks guys good to be here! Wish I knew about this place sooner
  20. Awesome thanks man, I will wait and see. A few people on google recommended radiodaddy.com There is a free service on there for people practicing the art so I will wait and see if I get any hits. Thanks again
  21. Thanks man =) Hopefully getting some new decks soon so cant wait! Im using the ns7 at the moment but looking to get the Traktor S4
  22. Hey Cupe Thanks alot for the reply! I will check it out, I guess trying to find a legit place/person that does it would be the key but ill keep searching! =)
  23. Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get or create DJ name tags. Ive heard mixtape DJs and even some club DJ's have name drops at the beginning or during their set. Vocals of any sort eg male/female/different accents etc I currently use a Macbook so i know i could create my own in garage band (and I could do my best impersonation of a chicks voice) but i want something a bit more legit and professional. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  24. Im trying to get my hands on the S4 at the moment as well mate. Im using the numark ns7 at the moment and just think the S4 will be great for portability. A mate of mine has it too and he swears by it. But as mentioned above if you want to get into clubs go cdj
  25. Hi guys, My names Suri but my nickname is Mulli (Family is Sri Lankan and Mulli means little brother). I live in Perth WA and have done since I was 1 year old. Ive been Djing for a couple of years now and mainly do weddings and parties at the moment. Looking to improve my skills in scratching and blending but also want to get into beat production. Me and a few friends also record hip hop songs as a bit of fun. During the week I work in the city for a government agency but really want to make DJing more of a full time thing. I hope you enjoy my mixes on soundcloud (www.soundcloud.com/djmulli) and if you have any tips on how to improve I would appreciate it. Thanks Mulli
