pressing the red button, doesnt close an app. Use cmd + Q to properly close a program, it may prompt you if it needs saving etc. Force quit is needed because sometimes app's freeze, force quit works really well

It doesn't get cut off, it gets compressed for as long as you've determined (release), by a certain amount (ratio)

Pretty cool man, nice work. Think that snare is all wrong though, try sidechain compressing it with with a fast release, so it really snaps in and out. That way the really get the transient POW from it, then it ducks back underneath

Yep, pick a professionally mastered track that has the same characters as you wish yours to. i.e big thick kick or prominent vocals or big perc. But basically, just pick a song, you would like it to sound like. Every pro producer references as they mix their track, so it usually isn't a concern for them when mastering comes along. They'll jst drag a track out of their reference list. When I am writing a song, I try to model it on another song, or part of another song, its not cheating at all, EVERYONE does it. How are you meant to know where a snare drums sits in a vocal prog track, unless you listen to an avicii track beforehand? etc

That could have something to do with Soundcloud's encoding, it might be that they roll off at a certain frequency.. like 30 or 40hZ. Could be creating some resonance. I always master tracks at -.3 dB, to avoid this

hmm... well i can give it a go mate. Every track I master, is based on a reference track, so I analyze the reference track and apply dynamics based on that. The track above was referenced off Kaskade - I remember So, jst send me your tracks, with reference tracks and I'll apply the same techniques And if you dont like it, I'll just give your money back

Ok so, 1. I got a headline spot in Adelaide on NYE because of an add on here 2. 'Troyboy' who doesnt come on here much anymore, is now pretty much my best mate, he's moved to perth, but yeah. Good as 3. Tomy I met here, then I met Mitch (Slop Rock), they listened to my stuff and signed one of my tracks to their label, which is growing! 4. JonnyB is remixing one of my singles 'Big fat bass' and it's sounding great. Thats all I can think of at the moment. But yeah, I owe a lot of my success thus far to ADJF and Cupe... cheers WHALE!
