Hey all, Wondering if you can help me with a little problem. My laptop periodically ceases all audio playback whenever I'm playing music, videos and mixing on Traktor.. its giving me the willies (lol) and I was wondering whether anyone has an idea wtf is going on. Cheers Ed W

I'm actually kind of loving the diversity and lack of "big" names.. everyone will be much more spread out. Organisers move to chill things out or smaller budget? EDM could be much more represented as Mitch pointed out but then EDM does have Stereo, Future, Creamfields.. EDM owns the summer now.

Numark Mixtrack Pro & Traktor KRONTOL S2
Sentinel replied to conCuss's topic in Mixers & Controllers
I have the Mixtrack and from what I can see there are several differences. The Mixtrack has larger platters, requires only USB power and is basically simpler. The Traktor has a few more bells and whistles such as the sample bank, a lot more lights and a volume monitor on the actual board as well as a more extensive effects system. It does however require an extra power supply and has smaller platters. I love the Mixtrack because it gives you the basics to learn on and a taste of what you can do with better systems, walking before running so to speak. Also it was in my price range at approximately half the price of the S2. Hope thats helpful/accurate. Ed -
Cheers for the welcome guys.. one of the warmest I've had on any forums.

Hey everybody, Guess its best to start with my name so thats Ed W, I'm 21 and a student studying in Orange NSW. Developed a passion for music which has always sort of been there however has gotten more intense as I go to more live performances and has gotten me interested in DJing which in turn has fueled my passion for music. My music history has been mottled and I've been through phases of rock, aussie hip hop, metal, punk and now its moved into dance, house, electro and then into progressive house, trance, dirty house etc etc. Top ten artists at the moment are probably (in no particular order): Axwell (SHM), Tommy Trash, Dada Life, Calvin Harris, Wolfgang Gartner, Bingo Players, Bombs Away, Nicky Romero, Zedd, Knife Party Been mixing on a Numark Mixtrack Pro with Virtual DJ (after trying Traktor 2 and Serato Intro and having some performance issues with my lappy) for the last year, have played at a Uni bar night which went surprisingly well. Now thinking of trying to get a CDJ setup and a gig at a pub in town. Now that you've heard my life story (apologies), I look forward to picking your collective brains to try and grow this passion into a bit of a hobby and having fun while doing so. See you round Ed
