Concert AV has supplied Melbourne venues with cutting edge sound systems for years. The brainchild of Joe Sofo, a budding DJ and sound enthusiast, it was originally run out of a garage, and then a warehouse in Sunshine, before relocating to its current premises in Essendon. Concert AV has expanded exponentially to stock over $4,000,000 worth of equipment, and employ a number of trained sound and visual engineers. Renowned for a straightforward assessment of customer’s needs, and selecting the right product for the job, no matter how big or small, Concert AV can help you find the best hire or sale products for your venue, festival or occasion.

ConcertAV's Achievements

  1. You can hire from us - would cost around $100 for a pair of active 600w speakers. Let me know if you want more info.
  2. Have a listen to some Mackie SRM450s great bang for buck and not too physically big for home use. Even some EON510s will sound good in a home environment.
  3. Running different brands of speakers and subs is completely fine, and normal industry practice. Running 2 different brands/types of speakers 'can' cause issues depending on the application.
  4. Your biggest issue will be warranty. Pioneer will not honor warranty for a unit not purchased in aus. I have seen first hand how (not specifically pioneer gear) it could end up costing a lot more than you think. 1 recent example, a customer of ours ended up spending double the amount that he saved by importing a product, which would have been covered under warranty if purchased here.
  5. What is your budget? We sell traktor scratch with audio6 interface for $369 A much much better option.
  6. NI is pretty solid gear. We sell a fair bit and have never had any hardware come back with problems. Nearly always a user problem configuring the software or under speced laptops.
  7. Would recommend a NI Z2 before the T1.
  8. The evolution (ew) range is a step above the XSW in the sennheiser range. If your main concern is range from transmitter to receiver then the higher powered transmitter will definitely allow you to roam a bit further. However, how far would you need in a venue situation, 20m? 30 max? The Ew will definitely be up to it, we use them regularly and have never had issues. I think the xs will probably also do the job for you though, remember these are not cheap mics, the xs is comparable to the shure pgx wireless range. XSW also has remote tuning which is a handy feature.
  9. Using bad fluid is very damaging to any machines. Bad fluid over time will clog pumps and destroy heaters. It wont happen straight away but over time it is almost a guarantee the machine will fail. We have seen numerous machines come in for repair with blockages caused by cheap and inferior fluid. Spend a bit more and buy a quality fluid of a reputable brand, ie Stage Formula, Martin, etc. This is what we use in ALL of our machines http://concertaudiovisual.com.au/store/ ... uct_id=197
