-
on my PDX 2300 pro turntable is a D balance tonearm which pushes the needle into the vinly groove which makes the PDX 2300 skipless even at 90%...and you can cut & scratch as hard as you like and it will not jump D balance is not on the PDX 2000 mk2 & the new PDX 3000 was going to get a new D balance tonearm for $200.US untill I watch this Video.... going to give it a go on my PDX 2000 mk2 before I get my new PDX 3000

cdj 350/djm 350 v cdj900/djm 700 for beginner
wazza replied to crispy-micas's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
if you don't have the $$$ for the 900 and you would like something better than the 350 Wait for the cdj 850 .....there going to be cheeper than the 900 but a little more than the 350 -
on the pdx 2300 pro is a 4 way button joystick ... push joystick left or right you get 50% + and - pitch bend ...push the joystick up or down you get a small pitch bend off 1%, or 2% ,or 4 %, or 6% push the joystick like a button to select which small pitch % you like......And the joystick & pitch fader are linked the the digital pitch display so you can see all your pitch changes.... very easy to Beat mix on...makes for very tight mixing ...tight than anything you can do with your fingers on the new PXD 3000 there is no joystick ...only a button knob for V. torque
-
yes..... you can make the Pdx 3000 feel like a 1200
-
keeping them going from a 2 deck time code setup ( pdx 2000 mk2 & the love off my life, my pdx 2300 pro ) to a 3 deck time code set using a edirol fa 101 or a NI Audio 8 sound card & the new PXD 3000 going to run 2 mixers my 909 & my sa 12 so my friend can scratch when I'm mixing the Pdx 3000 midi are so cool....going to plug my Edirol pcr 500 midi keyboard to my 808 GrooveBox then the 808 to the Pdx 3000 turntable
-

wazza replied to Skank's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
I'v always been hard on you D.J Dennis.... BUT... that was a good read.....I would + REP you again but forum will not let me -
midi clock sync has been out for years & years this is not a new concepted and not just for Traktor you can do it with any midi sync audio DWS software/groove-box & C.D players / turntables even if your mixer don't have midi clock output you just need the right hardware something like the RedSound Bite Micro with the sound bite-micro you plug it to the REC output on your mixer anything audio you send it by your out-puts gets converted to midi clock and then sent to your laptop DWS by USB....And its cheep http://www.redsound.com/products/soundbitemicro

traktor VS serato..........this is a problem i'm having I'v have being using mixvibes time code vinly for 4 years.....& love it with my high-end sound card but something has me Piss-off over at mixvibes and now I'm looking for another time code vinly software by the end off the year, when I go to LA [ USA ] I'm going to get Traktor PRO or Serato SL3 or a RANE ttm 57 sl mixer over there & bring it back with me. I will HAVE $1500 USD to spend just dont know which one yet
-
I went from vinly at the start off the 90's to C.d's at about 2000 ( denon dns 3000's & cdj 1000's ) to laptop djing with MIDI controllers at about 2005 to DVS set up on turntables & midi So lucky I keeped all my VINLY
-
give the mixvibes DVS demo a go as well it gives you more than Traktor and Vd.j and is cheeper
-
traktor scratch pro is for time code vinly & midi controllers traktor pro is just for midi controllers
-
take a look at mixvibes DVS....it has midi map for RMX with mixvibes DVS I run a Second Lcd screen at home... I have all my play-list/media list on my laptop screen out off the way & a 19 lcd with my 4 decks & sampler in front off me Uploaded with ImageShack.us if I play out.. I have a little 7 inch lcd touch screen I use as a second screen....& the touch screen is map'ed to the mouse pad to my laptop so I don't need to touch my laptop at all Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
