-Monitors XLR......just get a rca to XLR cable -as the akai mpk 49 has midi over USB you only need a sound card that has good ASIO drivers -as for the traktor S4.....the s4 has its own sound card.....so you will not need a sound card if you get the S4

just got a vestax cd 05 dj c.d player for $110 just have to pick up a tascam ttm1 vinly scratch control for $ 70 US.. a good d.j c.d player with vinly scratch control for under $ 200 au

both the vci 100 & the vci 100 mk2 come with traktor LE which is not very good....& you will have to pay for a upgrade to traktor pro the vci 300 comes with & is made for serato itch just plug & play....and away you go

I love my vci 100....but I would go for the s4 if I was buying now

the vci 100 mk 2 has a sound card & will do 4 decks + other shit... the vci 100...no sound card in it ...& will only do 2 decks... if I was you I would look at the vci 300 mk2...

most i3 , i5 & i7 pc & mac dont like usb 1.1.. I have a HP dv6 i5.....and the thing is shit both my Edirol fa 66 firewire sound card & Esi u 46 dj USB 1.1 sound card dont work right both these sound cards work good on my old ASUS p4 laptop...and its only a 2.4 gig with 1gig off ram running windows XP pro sp3....and it shit all over my new $1700 shit-box i5..FUCK'N-THING have a look over at serato forums about all the people with i5 & i7 + SL1 ( usb 1.1 ) both 32 bit & 64 bit that are having problems ...there's like a 1000 off them http://www.serato.com/forum/discussion/327412 just use your NI audio 8 sound card that has audio & midi ...its usb 2...why do you need another sound card/audio midi interface...

are you running the right sound card driver...??? mac's use core audio drivers...not ASIO drivers is you mac a new i3 , i5 or i7 ...because I know the i series mac & p.c CPU chipset have a problem with usb 1.1...that might be the problem with your M-Audio card...but not the audio 8 sound card as its usb 2

get your-self a wife to do your cleaning for you then you will not have this problem , so you can get back to mixing

http://www.avid.com/US/products/Torq-2 I have always look at doing thing Differently...thats why I use mixvibes DVS , when everyone I know is using Serato or traktor scratch and now we have a new update for TORQ form the makers off PRO-tools and with these features its going to be hard for me to stay with mixvibes just hope avid fix'ed all the little bugs in TORQ 2 that was in torq 1

laptop sound cards are shit...so I do think you will get down to 128 ( 3 to 5 ms )...you might get its down to 256 ( 5 to 9 ) ms

latency is the time it takes from when you push a button/key on you midi controller to when you hear the audio ....you will need ASIO drivers... try this...it free..& will make your laptop sound card( WDM )...into a ASIO low latency http://www.asio4all.com/ if that dont work you need a sound card with ASIO drivers.....the better the sound card the better the audio & latency my edirol fa 66 firewire sound card has about 3 to 5 ms.....

protool is a very powerfill software....the more you use it the easy'er it get...just keep at it

here I'm sequencing a moog VSTi to my vestax pdx 3000 midi (recording the VSTi into one off the decks and then sequencing it ) & sequencing the 16 pad sampler at the same time + a beat I made all from the roland mv 8000 its a crap video...I know...just playing around....but you can see how I do it will do a better video soon

I'm with egg on this one....I can do way more with time code vinyl than I could ever do with real vinyl.... chev come back and talk about real vinyl when you have spent over 60.000 on vinyl in 10 years
