I love the tonearm on the pros....best tonearm ever made for a turntable the pdx 2000 mk2 I have is not like the one in the pic....the one I have is the black ASTS tonearm the only problem I can see is the pdx 2000 pro are US only......which is AC 110 v......not 240 v aus power

if there the ones in the pic....I would buy them over 1200.....but I dont think thay are...the ones in the pic are pdx 2000 mk2 pro , the pdx 2000 mk2 pro's have a D, Balanced st8 tonearm the pdx 2000 mk 2 that I have is just the st8 ASTS tonearm....the only pdx turntable I have with the D balanced tonearm is my pdx 2300 pro
-
yes... ST8 tonearm are all good for DVS on my vestax PDX 3000 & 2000 ,there all got st8 & works good on my vestax pdx 2300 pro , its a J tonearm & work good on my AA hdt 45's & my old 1200 , there C tonearm & work good.....any st8 , J or C will work good I think he means that the 1200 is standard where all other turntable have to reach ....any TT with the same or better Speck will work

Karmas HAU5...you should never give a fuck what other d.j think....there is NO!!!..right or wrong way to d.j sometimes you have to think out side the BOX with the serato / ableton bridge, I will still be using my vestax pdx turntables with the rane serato mixer for time code vinly....this touch screen controller will be more for controlling the ableton part off the bridge... plus ...this thing is going to be so easy to make
-

on my turntable the tone arm don't skip even at over 45 degree's ....& its not a straight or a Curved
-
sl1 was usb 1.1 sl2 is now usb 2.0 thay should have gone usb 3.0 for the new sl2
-
two years ago NI was looking for DV team so thay could add video to traktor....so you all might see traktor scratch video soon as for video now only serato slv, mixvibes pro & vfx & v.dj pro do video with DVS no.. you dont need the mixer to do video with DVS just a midi controller with a midi crossfader
-
its not cheeper when you add the price off Ableton & a good sound card & a cheep midi keyboard the roland D2 groovebox would be no good for controlling ableton any way...you need faders , knobs & way more buttons than the d2 got the thing that the roland D2 is good at is midi patten sequencing with all the cool roland sounds
-
get a roland sp 404 sampler.. I'v seen them go cheep on e-bay... $250.. here a new one for $350 us..http://cgi.ebay.com/Roland-SP-404sx-SP404sx-Portable-Sampler-Effects-Mic-/390301600331?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5adfc9ca4b the audio from the D2 groovebox go's into the 404 sampler inputs ,& the outputs go to your P.A ( P.C free..all hardware ) the midi output from d2 go's to the midi input on the 404.. now you can sequence all your loops & samples with all the cool patten on the d2 using midi clock and because your d2 is setup as the master midi device...you might be able to midi map the 29 EFX's on the 404 to the X-Y touch screen on the D2 32 gig s.d card good for about 96 hours off audio

$4000 to do video mixing & scratching....is it worth the
wazza replied to wazza's topic in Lighting & Visuals
this is how Im going to set it up... I will plug my laptop, running serato video ( controlled buy time code vinyl & the rane ttm57 sl ) into the edirol v8 buy VGA on one channel, one side side off the v8 crossfader [ the Edirol v8 is 8 channels video mixer ...but only two channels at a time ] on the other side off the v8 video crossfader will be the video camera's & the edirol p-10 video sampler now the edirol p-10 video sampler will be V-Link buy midi to my roland mv 8000 or my mc 808 audio sampler ...so when I make/sequence beats on the pads on the mv 8000/ mc 808, it will trigger video files at the same time the audio from the sampler will go to the rane ttm 57 -
ok...looking to go fill on video mixing and scratching... after testing the serato vsl demo on my new rane ttm57 sl mixer.. I'm in love the video scratching works good ...the scratch is tight ...& the video EFX on the two decks & the crossfader are to cool and look good...(you can have 2 EFX's per deck + 1 for the crossfader ) I have the crossfader on the ttm 57 mixer controlling video & audio and the crossfader on my edirol pcr 500 midi keyboard for just the video as I said going "fill on..!!!"....so whats the $ 4000 for ??? a Edirol / Roland v8 video mixer, a roland p-10 video sampler & 2 videos cameras
-
selling it as soon as...I dont need it any more I'v moved to serato on a rane ttm 57 sl mixer for my DVS software , & will not be using mixvibes anymore the edirol is a good sound card for recording mix's to your P.c but I now do all my mix recording to my roland mv 8000 samplers harddrive and then to c.d from the mv 8000 c.d recorder you are the only one I have offered it to..so far.....if you dont need it I will stick it on e-bay you need to look for a little square port on your p.c that has 1394 marked thats your firewire port
-
yes the edirol fa 66 has 2,1/4 trs jack in put on the front and 4 1/4 trs jack outputs on the back so you can run your monitors .. how I run this sound card is I plug my edirol pcr 500 key board into my P.C by usb to control VSTi in my DVS software....I have my edirol fa 66 sound card plug into my laptop by firewire ( firewire is faster than usb 2 ) because the edirol fa 66 also has midi input & midi output ( the old 6 pin midi plugs ) I also have my roland mv 8000 hardware sampler midi outputs pluged into the edirol fa 66 sound card midi inputs ....this controls the 16 pad sampler in my software so I'm running midi over usb & midi and audio over firewire at the same time ,do you have firewire on your p.c..??? I'm looking to sell my edirol fa 66 for under $300 so I can get a roland sonice cell or a apc 20 http://www.rolandus.com/products/produc ... ductId=731

the mpk 49 has no sound card....its just midi over usb...not midi & audio over usb you can plug the mpk 49 to your laptop by usb and run another usb/firewire sound card or by pluging the mpk 49 midi output into the midi input on the sound card if the sound card has midi but you will need power the mpk if you would like to do it that way yes its better to run XLR or (jack ) TRS... but only the top end sound cards have XLR in's & out's...like the fireface 800.... if you want a good cheep sound card that runs balanced jack in"s & outputs....& has midi input & outputs.....look at a edirol fa 66 firewire sound card I have been using the FA 66 for over 4 years for my DVS & my DWS.... are you on mac or pc
