Had my new ns7 sitting here for a week saying play me, play me , play me with on fuck'n laptop....it's all good now, laptop all fixed , ns7 working good.....happy wazza......I will have a play around with itch 2.1 and the midi mapping sp6 on the week end ,I will see what I come up with and let you know how it go,s

I have really been wanting to learn to scratch, would you say the NS7 would be good to learn on? If your going to learn to scratch look at a good turntable or a Denon dn-s 3700 (with a 9 inch platter).....I think the 7 inch platter would be a little to hard to learn on
-
yeah me too but the grrls say its more about girth. wait what LOL....too funny.....

Have not had a play around with the sp6 sampler in itch"...only been using itch 1.4.2 for ns7...I will up date to itch 2.1 soon....I'v only played around with the mapping midi for the sp6 in scratch live.....this is how I have map midi sp6 in scratch live with my set up.....I plug my Roland mv 8000 sampler or my mc 808 sampler into my edirol pcr 500 midi keyboard by the old 6 pin midi plug and from the keyboard to my laptop by USB ,I use the keyboard as a midi USB hub.....doing this let's me use the Roland samplers I have as REMIX sequencer/ sampler midi controller for the sp6 and give me more than enough pads, buttons , knobs and faders to map everything in Serato , not just the sp6 but the djfx

I do love to scratch and I have used turntable for years ....so 12 inch is better, the 7 inch is just something I have to get used too... But the 7 inch platter does feel and sound very good. Mixing on the ns7 very easy, it's got pitch bend buttons
-
Yes....it's a all in one Serato itch controller with 2 , 7 inch spinning platters and a mixer in the midle. Got sick off taking my turntables and my Rane ttm 57 sl Serato mixer to gigs
-
Serato scratch live has bpm that moves with the pitch.......it's so small I never noticed it and I never use it...I use my ears........the bpm counter for each deck in serato is in the thing that looks like a vinyl label that go,s round and round

Just got a new numark ns7 and a iPad 2 and hdj 500 headphones

ok...thanks for the info...I need to know this shit as I'm moving more into video mixing... I will give this a go with my 42 lcd & my Serato video set-up....using vga vs hdmi on my laptop

DONT USE KEY-LOCK WITH TIME CODE ....when using key lock on your turntable &/or cd player with time code vinyl ( serato & traktor scratch ) it fucks up the time code signal before it go's to your laptop & can make your time code very unstable & you can get bad drop-outs you have to use the key-lock in the software then you will be ok

you are right....HDMI is ( high defination ) 780 p up to 1080 p...vga & DVI ( standard defination )is up to 640 x 640 p pal video if your using/playing standard defination video in your laptop to your vt there is no point running HDMI ( it looks bad ) just use VGA or DVI in your p.c video card... set up the second monitor to 1280 x 720 resolution.....then the video will be ok on your 42 using vga

wait for the NI M-Mikro to came out....or a Roland sp 555
-
Serato also dont have Key ID.....we all use MIX-IN-KEY software ( $100 ) or http://www.mixshare.com/wiki/doku.php?i ... _evolution ...Rapid Evolution is a good software & its free
-
it is very hard to hit notes ( on key ) with a 8% + or - pitch fader...you will only get 4 to 5 notes with 8 + or - pitch if your turntable / C.d player has 50 % + or - pitch control then you will be able to hit more notes but with the little move on a 100 mm fader it even harder to hit the right notes on key

Hay ...I have had no time to Post the Y cable to you because off work....do it by the end off the week
-
no...I have the MC 808.....the mc-808 came out a year after mc-909 the mc- 808 has better feeling pads than the 909 & better faders the mc- 909 are BAD ASS...has better sounds & the work flo is better than the mc 808 if I had $800 I would buy it................I'm saving for a Roland V8 video mixer & a Roland P10 video sampler for my Serato video set-up $4000 hoping to have these two in 4 to 5 weeks

the s4 is only been out for a little over a year & traktor pro 2 software is only out for about 6 months...so you will not see a new s4 for some time yet there is a cheeper model coming out soon call the NI traktor s2....its a striped down s4 which will controll only 2 decks not for like the s4
-

nice clean Juggles my friend....good to see another Vestax user here... have you done the D tone-arm mod yet on your PDX 2000 mk2..????...you have to do it...you will love it that Serato Dropout is Fucked...are you using update 2.2....let me know what your fill set (laptop ,Serato SL box ,what up date your using ) maybe I can help you fix it... -
no need to pay for them, I dont need them my friend moved on to a serato ttm 57 mixer you will need 2 channels on the mixer for serato line outputs (rca L&R for one deck & rca L&R for the other deck = 4 rca's ) and 2 channel on the mixer for the serato through outputs (rca L&R for one deck & rca L&R for the other deck = 4 rca 's)...that is why you have 8 outputs on your sl1 box....you will only need the serato through outputs if you want to use real vinyl pm me your Address and I will send them
-
Are you sending the REC output from the mixer or the Booth output from the mixer back to the 3rd in-put on the sl3 box...and using serato to REC your mix..????? in serato selected the 3rd input in serato RECORD BOX as your channel that you would like to REC too & then there is a REC level knob that you can turn up to get all green in the REC metre level...do not clip into the red or the serato internal limiter will cut in
