I have the kaoss pad-Q ..the EFX are better on the kp-Q because you can lay-up to 4 EFX , the kp3 will only do one at a time ( hardware EFX )...but the kp-Q don't have midi over USB like the kp3 so I cant midi map to software ....you don't need to use it just for EFX in say software ....as a midi controller you can midi map it to do anything you need it to do in your d.j software (if you need hot cue,s, or loops or load tracks into the players in you d.j software just midi map it to do what you need )... + it can do hardware audio EFX at the same time you use it as a midi controller
-
Are you having problem set up your kp3.... If I had one I would use as a midi controller & for audio EFX .....

I have been waiting over a year for this up date.....I,m on this like a fat kid on cake..!!!!! I,m running video sl on my turntable ( time code )setup with my Rane ttm 57 mixer as a mixer/midi controller......fuck it's going to be cool running on my numark ns7 itch controller
-
It's because tractor not like abba

I,m with Mitch ....I get both c.dj ( cdj 850 ) & a midi controller (NI traktor s4 )with laptop for a good 4 deck setup Because you can play small partys with just the s4 ...if you need a bigger setup for the club/ pub that don't have a setup , you can plug the cdj into the s4 & rock time code & music of a USB finger drive As for the feel off jog wheels now days even the small jog wheels on the vci 300 are good for mixing & scratching ...when these midi controller first came out 3 years ago the feel was shit but now days the feel are very good .....like my numark ns 7 midi controller the scratch feel on them is as good as real vinyl....every jog wheel feel is difference & it's something you will have to get use to

It audio & midi for the audio you plug the out put from you mixer to the to the kaoss pad inputs ... But it also midi ...plug it to you USB on the on your laptop &midi map it to the EFX.s in traktor
-

EFX 500 work ok with serato itch controllers..the EFX,s have a nice sound & are fun to play with...there are two parts to the EFX 500 the left side are BPM sync EFX,s & the right side are set up and play EFX,s....With the bpm EFX,s the EFX 500 will listen to the in coming audio from your Serato itch controller ( the bpm ) and set the EFX,s to play in time with the music ....one cool thing about the EFX 500 is as it sets the bpm from the audio you feed it , it also sends the bpm to the midi output on the back off the EFX 500 (bpm midi clock ) so if you had a sampler or a drum machine or ableton software on another p.c you can also sync this hardware together so Thay run in time to... I said it will only give you EFX,s over the master output volume not each deck in the Serato software
-
Lol....you have it set up right...ass egg said the eeee sound is the sound time code vinyl....the cables you got are for using real vinyl so you don't have to go through the software by-pass to play real vinyl (Thay are just fancy y cable ).....on you mixer go from phono to line ...all time code vinyl go's to line inputs Edit"...........egg saves the day
-
Yes it works like this....I plug my numark ns7 which is a Serato itch controller to my korg Q kaoss pad EFX box ......it will only add EFX,s to the master out-put.....(post fader ) .....if I plug my korg kaoss pad to my Rane Serato mixer by EFX send-return ( pre post fader ) I can add EFX to each channel before the faders...

At 17 I started at maccas...I started djing at 18 ,Im almost 40 , now with $15.000 setup & $60.000 in vinyl /C.Ds....we all start some wear ,you got a long road a head off you my friend
-
Why do you need the road case..???...you only need a road case if your going & giging out now If your not playing out right now it's a $400 waste off $$$$.... EDIT...sorry sol did not see your post about $ 1400 with case

wazza replied to imadje's topic in DJ Headquarters
Your right my friend....anything go's....it's not just hiphop ,it's R&B to..it's more about letting the vestax cd05 & ttm1 go to a good home but making you all work for it..remember you have to be in it to win it.....what's in it for me....maybe I,m going to here some new/ old cool tracks that I don't know that I would like to add to my sets -
...see the frist vid i posted the scratch on the cdj 350 is very good...DJ CO-MA is a JAP DMC champ
-
if you want to get in to the hard-core scratching buy thishttp://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VESTAX-Q ... 3cc08a1a99 .....I had one so good for scratching ...this one got a innofader...
-
The scratching on the cdj 350 is ok..love this video...just shows that if you can scratch you can scratch on anything and make it sound good The denon 3700 are all good with the 9 inch turnning platter ....or wait for the new 3900 to come out after namm.. Or you can look at a numark ns 7 for about $1300
-
I love my dicers with the midi on my ttm57 sl ,it's all I need for me ....but I also say that because your using traktor scratch it would be better to go for the x1 midi controller, just easier to plug & play than go though the pain in the ass off midi mapping
-
There is also a mpc fly for I- pad 2 come out soon to....looks good
-
Ok I,m a sampler and this thing looks nice.....I need to know a bit more info about it's midi sequencing Looks like my Roland mv 8000 sampler & my mc 808 sampler might be up for sale
