Over the last two week I have been testing the new Mixvibes cross video plug-in and the 16 pad sync loop sampler alot of the time has been spent midi mapping my roland groove-box to the cross sampler and midi mapping my denon x 600 for the video plug-in...and also testing mixvibes time code vinyl with serato sl2 hadrware.. in this test video ...I'm testing how good the sync from the loop sampler and the video decks....no time code vinyl in the video , maybe next vid edit Mitch: embedded youtube link

yes ...the sl2 & serato scratch live + serato video works good on the denon x 600 I have been using scratch live for a long time...I'v also got a serato/rane ttm 57 mixer.. the idear is to have all 3 off the top dvs set-ups for when we start the G.C dj school..serato scratch live , traktor scratch pro and mixvibes cross dvs the d.j school is coming along to..we have some dope dj setups in the school... next stop traktor scratch a6...then I can us the NI audio 6 audio interface with mixvibes as well as traktor scratch ...

scratch that....no need for me to get VDJ now...the nice people over at mixvibes just gave me MIXVIBES CROSS DVS + video plug-in for Cross for free ..... I have tested mixvibes cross on my IMAC with time code vinyl (just one turntable ) using my serato sl2 box & denon x600 midi mixer and diccer ... every thing works good & very easy to set up..the sampler is dope..the media management system is dope ..I love how you can use mixvibes/pioneer Rekordbox play-lists .. the video mixing is very good ,the video out put window looks better than serato video ..everything was easy to midi map on the denon, like the cross faders & line faders , knobs and buttons in cross & works good with the diccer to and the video & audio EFX work well together vinyl control could be better ...but I think that has more to do with setting up the core-audio driver right in mac & getting some new needles...& also because I'm using serato sl hardware & I need to get a audio interface.. I can't wait to use the cross Ipad wifi control app ...mixvibes cross can use 8 wifi mobile devices & 8 midi controllers at the same time + time code vinyl So big thank you mixvibes talking about FREE shit from MixVibes... CROSS DJ for your Iphono & Ipod ..NEW & FREE.. http://forum.mixvibes.com/viewtopic.php?f=259&t=26297

dont do it for $50 my friend ...$100....he's your friends ,friend...not a close mates off yours business is business..you have to make $$$$$$$$$$.. I'v been djing a long time & all the good DJ hardware I buy ( ns7 , mc 808 , mv 8000 , sl2 , rane ttm 57 ,vestax pdx 3000... ) all comes from the $$$ I make DJ-ING.. you dont get the good shit getting $50....you are worth more than that...

I'm running video serato on my ns7 using my Imac....this is for vinyl scratching videos using one turntable & the x600 mixer on a i5 hp laptop & videos/audio sampling using my mv 8000 ...most off the mixing will still be on itch & when serato dj comes out I can use/midi map my pcr 500 Both videos plug'ed into vestax pbs-4 + 2 sony dvd SD video cameras

I,m going to buy Vdj very soon.. for me and my setup, vdj 8 looks dope... when it come out it will have a new time code engine made by the guy who made dj-deaks..any one remember the old DVS software dj-deaks it was a very stable open DVS that sounded very good & had a nice scratch feel with serato time code vinyl ....will work nice with my new Denon x 600 midi/audio mixer & my Numark ns7 the video sampler will be dope to...be able chop a video sample with audio with in the software and be able to play & sequence the sample with my roland mv 8000 hardware sampler numark mixmaster pro audio/video time-line editting will be nice & easy for mixtapes too be out 2Q next year 2013...vdj might in the end turn into a good software..

did my first dj lesson & meat with DJ Jemz....she's very nice, happy go lucky lady..she's got a good attitude & wants to learn..with a hard core passion for her music ( D&B ) & djing ..she got a good ear for beats & can mix, so its more about teaching her about music structure & using her EQ's & EFX's in the right place & at the right time . .This might be right up her alley -

I was going to buy traktor scratch a6 this weekend ....so I will have $400 at the end off the week... I can also do a pxd 3000 mk2 (the best TT for scratching ) & a pdx 2300 mk2 (best TT for mixing ) + 400.. or a Roland mc 808 groove-box sampler + one off the turntables + 400...

how about one vestax pdx 3000 mk2 turntable and a dj Craze sa 12 with a innofader + some $$

ok will set up my Skype to day..... how have you set this up in Skype..do you get any audio drop-outs , because i know that sometimes web-cam drivers can fuck up dj software ...I think i will use my iMac + ns7 and send the audio from my ns7 to my HP laptop thats running Skype on another note.....vestax japan got back to me about the vestax bps 4 , the name off the new importer for vestax here in OZ is http://www.innovativemusic.com.au/ and give me a time line for when the bps 4 will be out (which I can't say ).. but we might if everything go,s right have one for the ADJF meat in 2013..

i honestly thought it was gonna be more than that when I first heard about it. I don't thin that's too bad. You'd pay 600-800 for an old analogue synth or even worse you'd pay 7-8k for a jupiter 8 these days. one G is nothing for a good old analogue synth....i had a old ( 25 + years ) old Roland jupiter 6 ,... I sold it 2 years ago for over a G makes me sad just thinking about it...it was my dads ...it sounded so good ,way better than any VSTi plug-in...

you can try using jacks osx.... it will do all the audio & midi routing .from software to software. http://www.jackosx.com/

Accapellas over beats.....help required
wazza replied to wrxfiend's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
use ableton-serato bridge.... it will give you everthing you need to do this right..with the hardware you got now....just need ableton software. like...you can use your NI Mascine as a vsti inside one ableton deck...and controll speed/tempo off ableton sequencer from your tt on both decks you can play acapellas on both decks & be able to flip-flop /switch the mascine beat that play in ableton over both acapellas that are playing in the serato decks use beat-grid, ableton or serato to mark where the 4 beats would be in the acapellas...us ableton to warp the acapellas so it keeps the same tempo/timming, same flow -
lol... to funny
