  1. Heyhey Sentinel.. AWESOME to hear you had a good time! I can't argue with those points either - the sound quality was better than I've ever heard at Trak before, they did a great job updating and tweaking it... and the production team did a CRAZY job. I actually wanted to spend more time on the dancefloor but I was busy working the show! Thanks for coming along We've got an intimate show with The Thrillseekers on this Saturday night for $20 if you're keen! PLENNNTY more shows where that came from...
  2. With excitement and honour, Rush Productions and Sunset Promo are proud to announce The Thrillseekers return to Melbourne and Australia. A Night with The Thrillseekers offers an intimate setting, in which the ears and hearts of quality trance music fans will be spoilt with some amazing sounds in a rare up-close-and-personal setting. Limited to just 200 people only, this will be a night to remember! The Thrillseekers story started back in 1999, where with a relatively basic home studio Steve Helstrip - a.k.a The Thrillseekers - constructed the trance milestone that is 'Synaesthesia'. Signed and released by Neo Records in 1999, at the height of the trance explosion, it has gone on to sell over 1,000,000 copies across its numerous repeated worldwide releases. For well over a decade, The Thrillseekers have been at the forefront of the world's dance scene. From his first smash single through to the club anthems 'Dreaming of You', 'NewLife' and 'By Your Side', Steve Helstrip has been behind some of the most emotive, evocative electronic music, ever released. He's worked with pioneers like Trevor Horn, shared co-production credits with Chicane and co-wrote on Ferry Corsten's Grammy award winning 'Right of Way' album. He's remixed Tiesto and Armin, amongst many others, and reworked Sonique's 'Feels So Good' into a worldwide, No. 1 record. Immediately following the success of 'Synaesthesia' Steve went on to launch a new moniker call "En-Motion", spawning 'Truth' in 2000 and 'Getting Away with It' in 2002. In the adjoining years he also pushed forward, partnering collaborations with Pulser as "Insigma" ('Insigma'/'Open Our Eyes'/'Avalon') and with Tim Stark under the name Rapid Eye ('Never Going Back'/"Circa-Forever"/"Stealing Beauty"/'Santa Cruz'/'Absolut') - all of which garnered strong support from the DJ elite and are still to this day respected as classic trance anthems. After two huge vocal single releases 'Waiting Here For You' with Aruna and 'The Last Time' with Fisher, fans were pleased to see the return of Steve's remixing skills in 2009 as he completed Solarstone's stunning 'Part Of Me' and Chicane's 'Poppiholla', which spent over three weeks in the top 10 of the UK charts. Rather than just concentrating on solo productions, Steve set to the airwaves with his new NightMusic Podcast and Radio Show concept, broadcasting to over 40 FM and internet radio stations and heard by over 2.5 million listeners worldwide. Following on, Steve continued with a well received collaboration between The Thrillseekers and Belgium trance legend M.I.K.E., and had his own Thrillseekers summer anthem 'Savanna', which went on to feature on numerous compilations including Armin Van Buuren's 'A State Of Trance' in 2010. The year didn't end there, with a label re-launch and remix for Arcane Science & Melissa Loretta, plus studio time for remixing tracks by both John O'Callaghan & Armin Van Buuren set for release in early 2011. For more details, go to http://www.thethrillseekers.co.uk SEPTEMBER 14th WORD BAR, MELBOURNE 14 Goldie Place, Melbourne Drink specials in full force until 11pm with $6 Asahis & Crownies, $6 Basic Spirits and $4 House Champagne Tickets are selling quickly and with a strictly limited capacity, don't delay or your only experience will be be hearing about it from trance lovers across town! In conjunction with Assured Artists, JAM DJ Management and Rush Productions, Evolution Events are proud to present a brand new format for the world’s hottest DJ talent to shine on the Australian scene - TRANCE ALL STARS. No gimmicks, no tricks, no themes… just a platform for the best in the EDM business to reach from all four corners of the globe to Australia’s dancefloors and into the ears and hearts of fans. LANGE Leading this star-studded line-up is a 15-year master in the business, recognised as one of the most influential dance artists on the planet - the UK legend LANGE. Remaining at the forefront of the scene throughout his career, Lange is a producer that continues to push all boundaries. Boasting an exhausting list of achievements including twenty UK top 40s, film soundtrack credits and remixing mainstream artists such as The Pet Shop Boys, Lange remains one of the world's leading EDM producers. With tracks like Live Forever, Let It All Out & Out of the Sky with Sarah Howells, We Are Lucky People and 2005’s classic anthem Sincere, Lange is also not afraid to experiment; evident in tracks like Another You Another Me and Harmony Will Kick You In The Ass which have since become some of the defining moments in the evolution of his modern trance sound. With more than a quarter of a million fans on Facebook and counting, it’s easy to see why Lange is one of the more consistent and likeable producers and DJ’s in trance today. His eclectic, stimulating and driving trance sets pull influences from across the dance music spectrum from trance, progressive, techno and electro; showing with ease why he is one of the most exciting and lively performers out there; forever keeping the crowd buzzing for more. MAX GRAHAM Joining him for the first time to Australia in almost a decade is a man who has single-handedly stormed his way onto the world stage with consistent precision towards his craft - a true testament to his creative ability... the unfaltering sound of MAX GRAHAM. Never sticking to one marketable genre of music, Max spreads his taste across many spectrums of sound to ensure the most engaging and creative live sets imaginable. Originally debuting in the world-renowned DJ Mag Top 100 at #23 spot, Max has produced strongly-supported dancefloor movers regularly in his time, including mastering production across the sounds of electo, house and trance. More recently, Max has been invited by Armin van Buuren to play at several of his A State Of Trance events – even teaming up in a rare back to back set with fellow trancer Protoculture at ASOT 600 in Mexico - and more recently playing alongside Orjan Nilsen, Andrew Rayel and Armin himself at ASOT at Privilege, Ibiza. Effortlessly blending the lushest of prog-trance, the most percussive and tribal of techno and the soaring melodies of the most uplifting trance, Max Graham is firmly at home behind the decks and is gaining new fans at a meteoric pace with his hugely successful radio show “Cycles Radio”, which has trended worldwide on Twitter on more than one occasion. PROTOCULTURE To round off this formidable trio of the best modern day trance acts, this man is a world class name receiving accolades from trance kings such as Armin van Buuren who rightfully stated that "everything he touches turns to musical gold" - South Africa's PROTOCULTURE. The last few years have seen a new direction for Protoculture, with support from major names such as Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Christopher Laurence, Paul Oakenfold, Above and Beyond and John 00 Fleming. His 2010 rework of 'Grace - Not Over Yet' with Max Graham landed the #1 spot on the DMC UK Club Charts as well as the number one position on the 'Trance Top 100' at Beatport.com where it stayed for an entire month. In 2011 and 2012, Protoculture was ranked as the number one DJ in South Africa according to the acclaimed international DJ Mag Top 100 Polls and with a new album on the way with Dutch powerhouse label, Armada Records, the only way his career is going is up. 18. What he/she/they/it said.
  19. Generally I find it best (when mixing trance here) that once the second drop/peak kicks in for a last time, that you start the cued track from here. I find most tracks followed the structure: Intro > verse > break > build-up> drop/peak... then back to a bridge/second verse > shorter build-up > second drop/peak > outro. By the time that final peak finishes in the live track and the outro begins, you'll have finished bringing in the majority of the intro of the cued track and the cued track should be swapped over into by then... then fade out the old live track and bam.
  20. THOMMY BROOOOKE. Will be there
  21. If anyone's keen on coming along, tickets via Facebook are $20, and using the code "RUSH" when buying via Moshtix shaves $10 off the price! Booyah. If y'all haven't heard much of Ronski's stuff, well apart from "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING?", dig these on for size:
  22. Hopefully! (They may/may not be touring around March/April)
  23. Believe it or not... Well, no, believe it. Please. Otherwise this whole intro post is pointless. 2002 NYE I landed in the neon land of dance music and never looked back. 2006 I began to DJ at home and sucked fairly hard... by March 2007 I landed my first gig and since then have craved sharing wickedsauce music with slightly awesome people. 2008 I jumped on board a popular little trance party called Nexus and by 2010 it was put on the shelf to make way for a new breed of partay called Rush. 2011 was Rush's first year, and we had a blast bringing out ze German's Stoneface & Terminal, Orjan Nilsen for his debut tour of Oz, and now in 2012 we're looking forward to seeing yet another Deutschman by the name of Ronski Speed... 2012 was also my first year straying from the sounds of trance I grew up with and am digging some of the more tech-haus and progressive flavours out there. If you like the sounds of the above, check my Facebook DJ page for updates, mixes n'mad shit - http://www.facebook.com/djjed or Rush's Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/rushproductions If you see my picture and find me attractive, kudos. I can't say I disagree with you. If you see my posts on Facebook and notice a lack of grammar or spelling, please feel free to insert sharp things into my eyeballs. Grammar is important. As important as EDM, lets face it. Because without grammar & spelling, you wouldn't be able to describe how mad the EDM was via use of the written word and without EDM you would spend all your time learning grammar & spelling.. and that's just boring. Cheers \o/
