  1. good find for the fix. Should come in handy in case anyone else here comes across this issue.
  2. relax m8, we have alternatives in place
  3. Are you using Traktor? Monitors should be plugged into the red and white master out of the T1, and your headphones should be plugged into the headphone output on the front of the controller. If you still have no sound, check your audio settings (audio setup and output routing on this http://pioneerdj.com/support/files/img/ ... ing_en.pdf ) and then try. If that doesn't work, make sure the settings are applied, then restart Traktor.
  4. Not worth it imo plenty of free alternatives out there that the people who want to stream can use - mixlr is one that I'll try out tomorrow.
  5. has big fuckoff monitors still keeps midget logitech's ps nice keyboard+mouse
  6. fark that looks insane
  7. Even if it does get flagged on Soundcloud you can always just add 5-10 seconds of silence at the beginning and it should be okay.
  8. So the volume for the line in option for USB2 is at the max (in the Windows settings, not audacity)?
  9. Is there anything recognised in recording devices?
  10. If you have a look on the back of the mixer, should have two usb outputs on the back (54 & 55) I don't know the specifics of your set up, but the manual I've found online says: - First connect USB1 (54) and following recognition by the computer, connect USB2 (55) to be able to distinguish USB Codecs (UAC3556B / 2) more easily in the system - Important: To record the master signals, go to Audio Properties (System Control > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Recording) and set USB2 as the standard device, then select in the “Volume” menu the “Line In” item and set the volume to maximum. - To record from Channel 1 only, set USB1 as the standard device. For recording mixes, I'd recommend using Audacity. Instructions can be found pretty easily on how to change your settings so that you're recording from the correct input device and the quality settings are okay. If you need help with this, just have a look in the beginners section or ask in here and someone will help you out. ps here's a link to the manual if you need it again in the future: http://www.reloop.com/media/catalog/pro ... oop_IM.pdf
  11. thats gold too bad greens are fagets
  12. 1. Pirating music, especially linking or discussing to resources where you can do this, is frowned upon here. Don't do it. Great, free tunes can be found if you look hard enough at up-and-coming artists on Soundcloud, and many bigger artists will put out free EPs every now and then. 2. Mixmeister has always worked well for me to get the right BPM's. Sometimes Traktor or other DJ software gets the BPM completely wrong, so I never use them to write BPM tags to my files. Only problem is the interface is pretty old and can be a little confusing at times. 3. Just because it says 320 in the tags, does not mean that it is true 320. So many times I've seen people use 320s downloaded from dodgy websites that are really just re-encoded 128s. There are plenty of free spectrum analyzers that can show you whether or not it's a real 320. 4. Learn how to beatmatch. Seriously, get that shit down as early as possible before you're too reliant on it. Looking at the sort of stuff you're mixing, it shouldn't be too hard as it's a standard 4 kicks to a bar and BPM's should be similar.
  13. dope, will be tuned
  14. “One evening he was cooking a carbonara and listening to Alain De Botton’s weekly podcast through the headphones when suddenly he started dancing around manically and fist-pumping, while unnecessarily making minor adjustments to the temperature knobs and vigorously stirring first the right saucepan and then the left one,” explained a worried Katie. “All the while he was doing this, he was holding either the left or the right headphone to his ear depending on which pan he was stirring.” holy shit that's gold
  15. LOL @ excessive jewishness even in that shop selling the earplugs you were trying to get some "last pair discount"
  16. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NOVATION-LAU ... d8e&_uhb=1 Solid brand, 61 keys, works with logic with some pretty simple setup ( ), loads of additional features and under 300
  17. nah i mean like i dont use fx or loops or shit like that much
  18. think that was ysm im achally thinking about getting a midi fighter after seeing it but struggling to think of how i would achally use it
  19. i've seen loads of whales using novation dicers when they're playing dvs vinyl. Fit perfectly onto 1200s too. They're about 150ish each I think wrxfiend has some too EDIT: lol wait you're talking about achal vinyl, never mind then
  20. maybe he saw #1lung trending and popped one himself to fit in
  21. Spotify uses ogg vorbis. 96kbps on mobile normal, 160kbps for desktop standard and mobile high, and 320 on desktop high and mobile extreme if you're premium
  22. If im using my phone im fine with anything down to about 128, my portable gear isn't nearly as good as my home shit so I can't hear the difference
  23. If they go ahead with it, I reckon it'll be fucking dope if they put it together right. Streaming will eventually overtake purchases anyway, especially as mobile data caps get higher.
