Yea first post! I've been reading for a while and decided to register.. Thanks for the link, $800 is a bit on the pricey side, but I guess you get what you pay for. I've been looking at some eBay pairs, are they generally big no-no's? Mitch

Hi everyone, I'm at the stage where it's time for me to upgrade from 2 x 15' passive speakers to some active ones. I've had my eye on the B52 matrix 1000 system, I like the fact that the sub does the low end work and the satellites push out the mid/high. My only problem is that this system is $1000+ at best. I know it's a long shot, but is there a similar system that is closer to $500? I know I'm better of just going for regular powered speakers with this budget, but I thought it would be worth a try asking. I've had a look on eBay for used things, not much turned up in my searches. Any help would be great, even recommendations on active speakers that have good bass output. Thanks Mitch
