  1. Cheers Matt all good points sounding much tighter now. Thanks Gremm glad you liked it
  2. Have my Denon MC6000 set up with Traktor 2 and running through Muteki sound system. Got my first mix recorded. If you guys could give me some feedback It'd be much appreciated http://soundcloud.com/gonzonian/march-party-mix-1
  3. Managed to find a lot of free downloads on youtube from OWSLA and some were really good. Also checked out all those artists and have got a lot more great 128 tunes. I managed to find enough tunes in my library and get a first mix recorded. I've posted it in the mix section but if you guys could check it out and give me some feedback and more similar tune suggestions that would be great. http://soundcloud.com/gonzonian/march-party-mix-1
  4. Hey guys, Finally got a first mix down and recorded. It's 110/128 Moombahton and Electro House. Knife Party, Skrillex, Porter Robinson etc There's a few dodgy sounding bits in there that I've noticed but I'm happy with most of it. If you guys could fire suggestions or feedback at me that'd be awesome. Don't worry about being too harsh Thanks, Gonz http://soundcloud.com/gonzonian/march-party-mix-1
  5. Do you guys have any mixes posted online that I could listen to with a bunch of this stuff in it? Is it Electro House or Dirty Electro? I know Knife Party and Porter also do Moombathon and Dubstep but what is the 128 stuff actually subgenre'd as? Loving the recommendations
  6. Awesome I'll check all these out tonight when I get time
  7. I'm over dubstep and dnb I've over played it for now so I'm getting into the kind of 128ish stuff knife party and the others I mentioned do. What genre is this and can anyone recommend more? I like the not too filthy but heavy tracks. I this makes sense
  8. So I've been mucking around with the MC6000 for a week or so and I love it. Without being an expert on what else is out there I can say it's easy and it suits me. Your advice was great all thanks a lot
  9. I've got plenty of time at work to sit around so I'm after an app to practice beat matching on my iPhone. Are there any you guys have used and would recommend? Cheers
  10. Just bought Show Me (Skream Remix) - Von D, boom my little seinheiser ear buds bass drops to about half hahahaha

I'm looking to build a table for my mixer and I had a bit of a crazy idea to get all my electronic equipment neatly arranged on the one bench. My idea is to build something that has: -the right height for my mixer to sit on top -elevated platforms for monitors, MacBook, -space for my TV base to sit behind monitor. -cd/DVD shelf on the left leg -storage drawers down the right leg -4 shelves underneath bench for my hi fi amp + sub amp, ps3 and xbox360 -rack on left end of table for 4 guitars is it better for subs to sit on the floor? are there any things I need to be aware of ie problems with all kit on one unit? Any other additions I could make?
  13. Yeah thanks I did check out the member price. It was $20 cheaper. Really saving every penny so I didn't get a membership but probably will down the track.
  14. Even has nice big pitch sliders Nah all good already ordered the MC6000 I'm still happy with the choice I may buy a cheapish cdj later but digital will do for now
  15. Cranking bass!
  16. Hahaha yeah apologies, poor old school dub/dubstep fans have taking a battering from newbies like me and our misnomers lately. I'll be straight out honest and apologize in advance for the technical stuff I get wrong when it comes to category and history of Dubstep. Saw Skream live with Benga at Summadayze but didn't play too much old stuff. Benga's tune with Coki 'Night' was the first dubstep song I liked. I haven't tried mixing any of this old style stuff. Do you get many people moving to it?
  17. Oops other links that I meant to add were to: Louder - DJ Fresh Cracks - Flux Pavillion
  18. I'm trying to build up my dub library but I'm stuck with mostly UKF tracks I'd like to widen my sources. Is there a sub genre that I can search for? Examples of my favourite style of tracks:
  19. You've all sold me on it. Ordering the DN-MC6000. Final question, does it work well as a stand alone mixer? Thanks for all the advice, I can see this is gonna be a great forum. Hopefully I'll have some half decent mixes up by the middle of Feb for you guys to have a geez at
  20. Sony Muteki is what I've got it's not amazing but nice quality. Thanks guys the upgrade is the way to go I do hate using pirated software. So the denon mc I guess it should be haha Now it's whether I forkout extra for the mc 6000 or stick with 3000. Guys you are saving me from some bad decisions I really appreciate it
  21. No though if I go for the mc3000 or s2 I will probably have around $200 for monitors. I'm running a mixtrack through my hifi system at the moment which is probably a bad idea
  22. I'm running Traktor 2 but not a legit version. Will this cause me any headaches? Can't stomach $700 on mixing software
  23. After a bit more research I've changed my mind and am pretty set on the Kontrol S2, just to save the hassle of mapping with Traktor 2
  24. Thanks for all the info fellas once I've down at the start of Feb and got my gear set up I'll definitely work something out.
  25. I only have a Numark Mixtrack with Audio2DJ at the moment but I'm looking to upgrade in the next two weeks. My favourite music is DnB and Dubstep. Mostly from the UKF label and Hospital Records
