  1. Cheers m8 c: I assume you want some hot nu disco tunes. Here are a couple that's pretty chilled out Kattch - Vice & Easy (Free Download) https://soundcloud.com/kattch/vice-easy-original-mix-read-description Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You (Bob Sinclair Remix): https://soundcloud.com/groovetheglobe/music-sounds-better-with-you Classix - Holding On: https://soundcloud.com/classixx/holding-on Not really bass heavy but the sax in this one is sex (get it? ehehehehehhehe) Klingade - Jubel: https://soundcloud.com/klingande/klingande-jubel Currently living in KL man so I think you guys are two hours ahead of me. This list looks dope af tho, I'll look for some of the albums after a shower.
  2. Figured since we're all a bunch of musicians/DJs/producers/music lovers/whatever pretentious name you wanna call yourself, each of us have different music tastes and we all know a lot of artists big and small that we love listening to. So if one of us is looking for a type of song to add our DJ set or we just wanna jam to something for the hell it, some lubly person at the forums can help them find what they're looking for by giving a song to check out or even a list of artists and tunes that they enjoy. I'll get the ball rolling. I've been looking for some smooth soul tunes, cool rock music or some crazy pop tunes from the 60s and 70s. They're great for walking around college (or anywhere, in fact) to get the good vibes going. I bought the "Guardians of The Galaxy OST" deluxe edition which includes "Awesome Mix Volume 1" and I've been listening to it non stop so I'm looking for tunes of that sort.
  3. Oh, you want to live stream. Yeah Screenflow is software but it doesn't have live stream capabilities. I'm not an expert on Livestreaming tbh but there are tons of tutorials online on how to do it for free. The only other option is to fork out some cash and getting "Wirecast"
  4. What I do: 1) Open up Quicktime 2) Hit "File">"New Screen Recording" 3) Hit "File>"New Sound Recording" 4) Click the big red button around the same time. 5) When done, save somewhere accessible and open up a video editing software. iMovie is good but it adds pillars on the side so it's kind of annoying. 6) Sync the video and audio together. If you're gonna do this, I recommend doing a sync test during pre recording to make your life better during editing. This method is okay but Quicktime constantly drops frames so audio and video will be off sync after 7 to 10 mins. Personally, I recommend Screenflow. Quite cheap (30USD), great recording software. Records computer audio and external audio real well and even records each files (video recording, computer audio and mic recording) individually into it's own video editor for precise editing. I've used this for a bit and I'm quite happy with the outcome.
  5. Hey errrrrbody, FINALLY finished this track, took fkn forever to make it. Actually, the song was relatively easy to make but I was spending more time... not making the song and contemplating life. Whatever, it's finished now so wooo. Check it out Here's a Souncloud link for anyone on mobile: https://soundcloud.com/misterchowmusic/misterhchow-teenage-fantasy-radio-edit-free-download And you can download it here: http://on.fb.me/1o2sQP9
  6. Sick man c: And Egg, I'll leave the cash at an alleyways in a brown paper bag. You can find it yourself
  7. Dang, they look dope. Alright, i'm down. I'll be free tomorrow so I'll have some free time if you're around
  8. Depends which part of Aus you live. It's literally the same time in KL as it is in Perth
  9. Aw shiet, Cupe. I'd appreciate it if you could help me out I'll hang around chat when I get back from Uni
  10. 10/10, pls send me ur Paypal so I can give you lots of $$$ Looks useful, I'll look into it a bit more
  11. Mitch: Nah, that's cool mate. The idea you have though doesn't sound too bad though but the way I set up my downloads page is that when they click on the image, they get the download straight away without going to another website. Might give that a shot though. Oxy: I did. The current page looks... ew. Cupe: Idk how to Wordpress D: Is it easier to use than just coding with HTML?
  12. Hey all, So I've decided to start making all my music that I made from now available to download with the only price to pay is to like my Facebook page. It's annoying yeah but I'm a whore. The best way to implement this is to use one of the Facebook apps that can do everything for you, i forgot what it was called. The only problem with it is that you're limited to two files to download (unless you pay extra $$$, kind of ironic really). It sounds fine, yeah, but I don't want anyone to want to download an old song of mine that they like only to find that it's not there anymore and get annoyed. The second best way is to design it yourself via HTML, the best app I've seen that can do this called "Static HTML" by Thunderpenny. I was wondering if anyone here knows HTML for me to learn to make the download page look pretty? I know enough HTML to, like, get it started but the page is so ugly and basic, it's a bitch. I want to make it pretty to the eyes so that it makes a great impression and easy enough to scroll through so that people can find what they're looking for without hassle. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Cheers
  13. I have the 350s, they're tiny but they're made just as well as the higher Pio CDJ lines. As mentioned, biggest problem is that the screen is absolutely tiny so you can't see much. But they're small and portable so they're great for mobile gigging or the casual bedroom DJ looking for CDJs. I've done plenty of gigs with them for almost a year and they're still running live and well. If you're looking for a mixer to go with it though, go for the DJM 250s. Though it has 3 less effects than the DJM 350, it has proper balanced master outputs. Anyways, most (newbie/ameture) DJs usually use FX to compensate their lack of mixing skills
  14. wow i havent seen anything like that in yonks! it looks good Haha cheers dude, I'm probably the only person in the known universe who still uses CDs. Personally for me it's easier to scroll through the CD wallet than trying to look at the CDJ 350's tiny little screen.
  15. Raaad tune, only complaint is that the bassline ain't heavy enough and drums don't pop out that much.
  16. You don't really "need" a sub dude, judging by your kit, it's more than enough. Unless you're doing parties for like 600+ people, you look good. Dw about your speakers, I had a shitty pair of 10" light up speakers that I bought at Cashies for like $150 for both. They were crap and weren't good enough for the parties I was doing but I still survived so you should be fine m8 [sMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES] .
  17. Everyone approaches a new song differently. Hell, those people approach each of the song they want to make differently. Like Spit said, there's no actual rules to follow. Personally, I'd write a particular melody with a synth I designed. It's not a drop or a verse or anything, just something I'd make real quick. Then I'd think long and hard about a good intro, an extended "DJ" intro that is, which personally I think is the most important part of the track. After that I just write the other sections of the track one by one. I don't go past that until I'm absolutely happy with the section of the track I'm working on. Some people can go all over the place and write the verse first, then the outro, then the chorus, etc. I envy those people
  18. ^ agreed, this is super dope af
  19. Was checkin this tune out with my mate on Skype. After the intro, she totally digged the whole tune. Guess you have a new fan haha. Awesome stuff man
  20. https://soundcloud.com/jakechudnow Dude supplies music (or at least allows them to use) for a couple of big time Youtubers (Vsauce ftw) to use his music. His music is like what would happen if Flume was a lot more Lo-Fi but that's still an understatement. Music goes from funky to chill to just psychedelic. Rly good stuff and extremely Lo-Fi. Plus a lot of them are free to download.
  21. Eh, that's true. They're only banning players from using them anyways. It's good to see famous icons not using Beats instead of seeing everyone and their grandma's grandma using them. pffft. Pffffft. PFFFFFFFT
  22. As much as I hate Beats, this is a pretty shitty thing to do on Sony's end. Forcing people to not use a product because the company paid for it. I know I sound like a crazy protesting activist and/or conspiracy theorist (trust me, I hate these types of people) but the fact that a company can just ban things in order to get the upper hand. It's a dick move from a competing business' perspective and kinda scary from a consumer's perspective.
  23. Thanks Alex, your words are too kind. hahah, cheers Spit
