  1. Lived there for four years. Was attending high school there
  2. Are you talking about Myer in Australia or KL? Wait.. is Myer in KL? Hahaha, Australia. Perth City Myers to be more specific, that's the branch I worked at. Tbh, I always thought Myers was international tho. But yeah, I worked at the electronic sections and sold a bunch of headphones. I remembered selling these specifically to a girl with her parents because another workmate kept trying to recommend another pair of cans and it was annoying me. Bear in mind this was almost two years ago.
  3. They sell these at Myers mate. Well, I remembered selling these headphones to a customer when I worked there. They're quite funky but the sound is so/so
  4. Maybe I'll ask any mates who are good with that. Idk tho, I might still want to do some recording so i don't want to fuck it up. Pretty sure the inputs and everything else are working fine, just the output.
  5. After some googling, I found out that the reason behind this is because the soldering in the mixer got dry or something. I called up Behringer and they told me that fixing it would cost just as much as buying a new one. I thing I might as well upgrade and buy a new audio interface. So much money to spend Ah well, thanks anyways man
  6. Hey all, Last night, for some reason, one of my studio monitors ended up losing quite a bit of volume. After fiddling around with the cables that connect from my mixer to the laptop, i figured the reason for that was because of the wires. I figured "Alright, I'll just buy new audio cables tomorrow." I buy the cables today while I was at college and got back to use them but the problem was still there. Turns out, the problem wasn't the cable, it was the mixer itself. One of the channel output on the mixer was actually losing volume for some reason. It actually also affected the headphone output as well. I have no idea why this was a thing. If anyone could help me out, it'd be appreciated. The mixer is a Behringer Q502USB. Cheeres.
  7. Sounds like a short but heavy 808 kick with a heavy 909 snare + "real" hats. I can hear a little bit of distortion and compression to give it that umph. Classic analog drums like that are easy to find over the net so just google those drums and you can find em. I recommend downloading a distortion plugin called "Camel Crusher". Very simple and cool distortion VST that gives the delicious crunch you need. It's free too! Just make a beat and load it in the mixer. Load up Camel Crusher in the mixer and mess around with the knobs. Judging by the drums in the beat, you want to add just the right amount of distortion, not too much or too little. Camel Crusher also has a simple compressor in it with a "Phat" button, adding that to the beat will give it that awesome, juicy sound. 8. I think it's flanger. It's exactly like the "Jet" FX on the DJM 350 turned at like 10 o clock. Phase is more like an "opening and closing your mouth" effect. So ya, I think it's a flanger at mid-high rate.
  9. It's a very long "song" with multiple FX m8 you're gonna have to be A LOT more specific
  10. Well, as long as the stems/samples are royalty free then you shouldn't have to worry much. Really it's the legal issue where you should be worried about most. Other than that, go crazy. Tbh, some people are way too worked up about this. They'd rather design or record their own sounds instead of using presets or samples that are available. I mean, it's not a bad thing that they'd do it manually, there's a lot of things you can learn from doing it yourself but if there's a sound, sample, stem, template, preset, etc that sounds good, why not just use it? Saves you lots of time and there's the added benefit that it was created by professionals, so it sounds good out of the box.
  11. Sup all, So for a while I've always read that you should check your mixes in mono because "when they sound good in mono, they'll sound even better in stereo". I've always ignored that advice because who listens to music in mono these days, right? Then I was bored one day and I decided to check out some songs on my iPod in mono, because there's sorta just like an accessibility feature. I listened to some songs and it sounded fucking awesome in mono. Then I check out my songs and sounded fucking terrible in mono. So now I wanna start checking my songs in mono but I don't know how to start. There's stuff like eq, volume, stuff like that but the main issue for me right now is the phasing. How do I fix that awful, awful phasing? Any help would be appreciated. Thaaaanks <3
  12. true to the poo! Journey to the West?
  13. Love this. A lot of people give up too easy or they try to cheat their way to the top. Failure is a part of life and you have to experience it to better yourself. Just a thing to remember: "It's not about the destination, it's about the journey"
  14. Dancing while I work on tunes usually helps makes it more fun I guess a more "serious" motivation for me personally is listening to other people's work and thinking to myself "I want to be as good as that person someday. I suck now but if I keep going at it, I know I'll be as good or even better than him/her."
  15. Real dope tune. My sister's boyfriend's cousin listen to these types of tunes almost exclusively. There's a lot of different names for it but the most "general" name for it he says would be "Chillwave". Reminds of this good ol' heRobust tune:
  16. Cheers to LiLMuNZtA for sparking me this idea. Hey all, I made a remix or something of ODESZA's Say My Name and it's actually my entry for the remix competition they're holding right now. 17. Massive tune m8, really digging the synth at the drop. You have my vote
  18. That, is an absolute tune. Though I prefer Bob Sinclair's remix more. Before even reading this, I knew that "One More Time" was gonna be the winner. It's an absolute classic.
  19. Thank you kindly, Mr Ysm. Glad you enjoyed it
