  1. so much talent
  2. Its kinda a dvs when you run the pro dj link with the laptop
  3. Sorry to derail lol, but as a soundtech nerd i'm assuming you have an S1 which has XLR outs why did you get rca to xlr cords?
  4. Thought i would start joining this thread. Played a really different and actually very enjoyable gig today. Basically the gig came from the production company i do on and off work with, and was a shopping centre promotion for Mardi Gras. Fairly open music wise as i stayed on the housey/commercial side of things as the earlier dj is more hip hop/rnb. But yeah was very cool to play in a completely different environment like a shopping centre, free of all the pressure and stuff associated with clubs and venues. Only had to do a two hour set 5-7 and will be doing them the rest of the week, until the promotion ends. But really had fun just talking crap with people and meeting some colourful/drunk/crazy characters was a blast. As it was essentially a display for shoppers i had lots of people coming up asking titles and all sorts of dj/music realted stuff. Was surprised with the positive reaction too, received lots of smiles, thumbs ups and the already mentioned chats and dancers.
  5. A big touch screen would be nice and two usbs would be sick
  6. Seems more suited to a 10/15 minute performance, or pair him with a dj would be cool. Couldnt handle a whole hour of the drumming stuff. Would be interested to see his production though.
  7. Just changing the bpm in ableton, cubase or even acid etc and them exporting would be fairly quickt
  8. Mk1 though by the looks of it?

    TOTD?

Love that track, will check out the sam la more remix. Quite a good electro treatment to sorry for party rocking by the always impressive gigi barocco. http://soundcloud.com/gigibarocco/lmfao ... ty-rocking
  10. BUMP: Ergo is le gone, decks are also on Gum tree now. http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/c-Stuff-fo ... Z358234312
  11. From my sound tech experience, the S1 is really the only one being used at a professional level, it is a very solid unit. Still has the same issues as others, but the layout, knobs and jogs are all perfect for someone moving from cdj to controlller. Stuff like xlr out is also a step better than most controllers.
  12. Pioneer going silly with models now, the pricing will really determine if this is a more entry level mixer as they keep saying home use when describing it, or it could be another cash grab, was hoping for dj link but ah well
  13. Quickswap hardrive bays haha so just pop your entire harddrive in. You can bank on wifi in them soon, rekordbox already has a wifi function so im sure the decks will be able to stream over wifi as they stream over ethernet now.
  14. Yep went so quick, worth lining up though
  15. Sounds quite good, very wary of similar dubstep albums from various hip artists and singers but this could be a good one.
  16. Etnik - vino Boys noize's youngun prodigy, great techno.
  17. Gone as of last night my friend sorry bud
  18. 100% correct for genre specific or niche clubs. Not so much for just commercial joints but anywhere underground or a specific party (dubstep etc) you will need all this.
  19. Lol the whole dirtybird crew is always on something Love that chick dj, marry me haha
  20. Haha claude fucked up
  21. Will post up my makeshift pro dj link setup, i replaced a djm 900 or 2000 with a network switch to get the streaming to the decks straight off the laptop lol
  22. Sweet will buy some tunes tonight.
  23. Yeah 700 or 800 mixer is on the cards soon but hey the 6 was a free gift and still goes fine so no rush. I got them at the dj warehouse sale just how it came.
  24. The last similar comp like this was won by a flat so anything can happen. How cool would it be though i have a big pool and stuff aww man *dreaming*
