  1. Dudes speakers, horns especially should be at ear height lol, no matter how large your speaker is bneing on the ground will get it nowhere near ear level. Even more so if there is a large crowd and you don't have a big rig you put them heigher so the front bodies dont absorb too much of the heigh frequencies as they dont travel as well as low ones.
  2. Cheers gents, should have also said it was toga too, so you dont think we are a bunch of weirdos haha.
  3. I sadly know heaps of young guys who do house partys like this
  4. Sounds good will be handy for warm up slots
  5. Played my first house party in like a year last night, pretty wild 21st in a hall, took a sweat light and sound set up so was pretty cool up on the stage. Played commercially/chilled dance till after speeches at 10 then pumped it hard for the last two hours, was good as it was all my mates who love all the hard stuff so could play cool stuff. Overall good evening (Bar my 900s freezing when connected to rekordbox every now and then, lucky i had cds there too).
  6. lastly some aussie talent, Nick Thayer's like boom EP is full of sweet moombahcore and some dnb and stuff
  7. Hmm has to be a cost advantage too which i cant see happening yet, alot of variables as well how durable theyll be for club use, will pros adopt them etc exciting times ahead
  8. all those beautiful gurners haha
  9. Then they shouldnt be in a club if they dont want to be a dj lol, people pay money to hear pros not fakes, its not self entitlement the crowd enjoy seeing someone mixing without a computer, and really it looks more entertaining than controller djs imo
  10. The challenge is to get the response time and accuracy spot on with touch screens and projector ones
  11. Some great shit on there. faves are ruffneck bass remix, vandalsim remix and drifter
  12. Yeah based on vdj, no thanks
  13. Ah that's awesome, yeah i've spoken to him a couple of times nice guy.
  14. Wonder if youre main room or maybe the side room is more electro/dub? That said Hadi likes closing out nights with dub, he had glovecats close for hardwell at ivy.
  15. How close is the response time eg is it close enough to drop a song in on the beat properly?
  16. You playing a dub set? If so seems random lol
  17. Dave Nada (Nadastrom) did create moombahton lol has this on repeat last few weeks
  18. wow that wouldve taken forever, i assume they got their idea from techno jeep still a classic,
  19. Fuck thats no good always the challenge at festys try to stay cool.
  20. fuark what a day, knife party stage was epic, good day, good music and good lollies. Cant remember after zane lowe though haha.
  21. Should be in events forum bro
  22. All sold boys cheers, do have the small roadcase for $100 though good condition.
  23. Actually really valid point further up as mere technical mixing doesnt make a dj, hence why controller djs generally suck in the entertainment and track selection areas. Just something interesting Skrillex one of the people that gets alot of hate for pressing play in ableton djed on straight cdjs and a mixer in his last couple of gigs in Aus.
  24. Cloud djing, obviously internet will have to improve but you have your whole library with cues etc all stored and you log into pioneers new system where all cdjs and mixers are connected. I actually thing with media players like 900s and so forth that controllers will decrease in club use.
  25. I always hear the creativity, able to do more with ableton/controllers, when in fact majority dont. They are just lazy fakes, full respect to guys like araab music and stuff but come on your average dj isnt them so i dont know why they always play the creativity card.
