  1. Thanks for that feedback man, very constructive, what i like to hear I know i missed that drop at 14 mins, was only the tiniest bit off but so noticeable lol and i slowed the track leading into the moombah track down too early, should have waited another 8 and going out of it i couldn't get the next track to line up, i was going to bring it in so much earlier, took me so long to get them on beat, i was like WTF just fucking lock in!!!! lol. Tracklist: Felguk - Jack It Firebeatz - Funky Shit Avicii - Levels (Hardwell Bootleg) Elite Force - Be strong (loops of fury mix) Nicky Romero - Toulouse Dillon Francis - I.D.G.A.F.O.S Can't remember this one, i know it's a gregori klosman remix though, i'll get back to you, i can't find it in my folders on the cpu, i'll have to dig through my cd's later. Fuck, can't pick this one either lol. Pleasurekraft - Satyr Song Firebeatz - What?
  2. Sorted. I never even knew there was a chat, i'd never looked
  3. How do you get to the chat?
  4. I know the bit where it slows down into the moombahton track sounds a bit dodge, i slowed it down too early, it was the first time i'd tried to mix in a slower track like that though so i can only get better i guess
  5. Did a mix this arvo just for some fun. Thought i'd chuck it up for some new stuff for you guys to listen to Got $110 worth of music sitting in my crate on beatport so new techno/tech house/electro house mix coming soon http://soundcloud.com/zoidburgg/thats-my-shit

  7. I'll get one sorted soon bud, i lazed about for my entire holidays and now i'm rushing to get everything done before i go back to work on the 3rd so i'll get one done after i settle back down a bit
  8. The rice thing is a good idea. My missus dropped her ipod outside in the yard in the rain, couldn't find it till the next day so it'd been getting soaked for ages, it wouldn't turn on or anything, left it in a bowl of rice for about 2 or 3 days and it works now although the screen flickers but it still does what it's supposed to...If it's been a few days since the beer went in there though i'm not sure if the rice thing will be effective as the liquid's probably dried by now but if all else fails it could be worth a try. Good luck.
  9. it gets addictive. I didn't care much for it when i first started using it but then i started checking it a few times a day in the end Add me, zoidburgg
  10. I would if my stupid iphone was working Hopefully next week. Will there be any nude pics?
  11. Oh yeah, the reloops have hot cues and sample banks too which is a pretty damn cool thing to have. I don't use them cause i'm just not that far ahead yet but they are still a cool feature to have. You can set the samples to play on a loop when you press the button, a one shot or it hot cues to that point all with one button depending on how many times you press it. You gotta know which selection is which though. Been playing a good set at home a few times and gone for a one shot sample and it hot cued to that track The only downside is you have to have the cd that you got the sample or whatever from in the deck at the time to use it. It says there's a way to save up to 500 samples or something to use without the cd in but i can't figure out how to do it.
  12. I've owned RMP2's for a year now and they've been great to learn on, they have good effects and heaps of features. The weightless platters are a little bit off putting for me but you get used to it, it's sort of grown on me but then again, it's all i know The scratching on it is gay because of the "weightlessness" of the platters ( If you spin them hard they will just keep spinning for ages whereas pioneers for example will stop after a few spins) so when you try to scratch it is hard to move it backwards and forwards quickly because the actual physical weight of the platters makes it hard because of the momentum....does that make sense? The cue and play buttons on them are notoriously weak, i always pressed them lightly for this reason and both the cue buttons still broke, they broke after about 7 months. The RMP3's are obviously the best choice having midi control and stuff but other than that i think they're relatively the same from what i remember. They are definately good for the price, i don't regret buying them at all, i haven't had any experience with their mixers so i can't comment on that. If you're anywhere near south brisbane you can come have a spin if you want
  13. I don't hate them, i'm just sick of them. Both the cue buttons are almost completely wrecked, you gotta press them in the right place to make them work and even then they only work if you treat them like a lady, which i have done their entire lives, always only pressed them lightly and they still broke and i'm not sure if i'm a fan of the platters or not. They free spin; like you go for a spinback and let them go they will spin for like 5 secs unlike pioneers where they have some weight to them...i'm unsure whether i like that I'm used to it now so it feels weird to use platters with some weight. And on pioneers you can adjust the tempo by 0.02, on these it's 0.05 and on certain songs that is really annoying There's other shit i would like to change but hey, they work, i have a blast on them and they were good to learn on, i don't hate them, i just really want pioneers And a few of the buttons on my mixer are broken too so i really want to upgrade that too....so if anyone has some pioneers that they just hate, i am willing to swap cause i'm such a nice guy
  14. iurbf3rifyg3vpreiubvdv fuyfvibuewfiu43egfbyreivh gidfvk kgvishlbhoiugy 4w8;otuwrgtirwt yig Sorry, just wiping the drool off my keyboard after looking through some of the cool shit people own! Nothing fancy for me...yet. I just have 2 Reloop RMP2's, Numark X9 mixer, pioneer HDJ2000 headphones and those shitty logitech computer speakers. While it all does its job it is definately time for an upgrade of everything but the headphones Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  15. oh yeah, sorry about the tags, running on very minimal sleep. Went and watched kissy sellout at the family last night. Managed the whole night on just 1 redbull. Coming home at sunrise without drinking is an odd experience Glad you liked it bud, I will try to get some more done in the holidays
  16. sorry about the shittyness at 20.17. I couldn't find the cd i needed and found it at the last second and literally loaded it and pressed play lol. I have done that transition before and it sounds boss, i promise http://soundcloud.com/zoidburgg/triple-bum
  17. Cheers for the warm welcome guys
  18. nothing happened at 32 mins...don't know what you're talking about Nah, i don't know what i was thinking, i went to start the next track at volume and spaced out and cut the first track. Must have thought i had the other one cued at the break or something, i don't know lol
  19. Not really, i just saw it said not to ask questions here I'm a dick like that haha. My name's Tom, i'm 25, from Brisbane, been dj'ing around 12 months, just starting to get to the point where i wanna start taking my sounds to the clubs and get some people moving I haven't really had anyone to learn from or that much time to watch youtube with my new little daughter here (<----refer to avatar ) most of my free time is eaten up looking for music so i've had to try and learn everything from listening to peoples mixes and then trying it for myself. I am mainly about doing smooth mixes and nice blends and what not. I haven't really developed my skills in the ways of tricks or anything yet but hoping to learn some of that stuff when i start hitting the clubs and hooking up with other dj's. I posted up a mix in the elctro/breaks section so if anyone's got some free time and feels like tappin their feet some feedback would be greatly appreciated I look forward to seeing what goes on around here and talking to some like-minded people, i don't think my mrs can handle much more of me going on about music and dj'ing http://soundcloud.com/zoidburgg viewtopic.php?f=100&t=8226
