Beginner - HELP/SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED
Duz replied to fpearson's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
Super OEM's won't last long, so in the hands of a newbie hiphopper will probably be fucked quite quickly. For hiphop the flutter and wow will be less of a problem, and even less of a problem if going the DVS route. I'd agree with eggssell with the recommendation, but I would also make a note that the decks if abused heavily they may or may not make it through a year. -

my mix is 1/2 done, I have big ideas for it so I'll post whatever I have done when the due date comes around.... although it's unlikely to be as finished as I want it to be by then -

I am so keen -
you can, but it depends on the way its has been produced, and weather or not studio instrumentals etc were released http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/ is my go-to place for acapella tracks

IMO, its a goo way of keeping tracks that have a similar sound under a single artist, but would allow you to diversify your creativity.. Also, You are a fuckhead

Was having a think earlier today in the car about people who use multiple aliases to do different styles of music. RZA/Bobby digital, pendulum/knife party etc. what do you guys reckon? do you think that if they are the same artists that they should continue using the same 'brand' or is it good that they separate the stuff they do out?

I nominate cupe, so he will stop bitching about it

^ I thought it was going to be this, which I think should be a whole bunch more popular than it is: http://www.ttmethod.com/

Battle of the rusty trombones. (I am in)

the wiki says that it's mr Hahn saying 'and you do it like this', and it's first appearance is in 'It's going down'. It's scratched in that track too, so your only real hope of using that exact sample will be if it appears in a track without any background..
-
it also depends on the PCB's in the vestax, the techs have PCB's that are ooooooold and everything is spaced pretty far apart...

all the LED mods done are pretty easy, unsolder LED - re solder different LED. the hardest bit was changing the globe to an LED, need to deal with resisters and shit..

Have been slowly modding my turntables, because having a fully sick turntable makes you at least 4x better at being a DJ. Current mods are: No 0 click Re calibrated the pitch sliders so there is only one 0 point All LED's in the turntable have been replaced with Ultra Violet LED's so I can work on my tan while I spin The stylus illuminator has been changed from the globe to a UV LED. The platters have been stripped and painted with white primer, and a few layers of glow in the dark paint over the top. Here is a short video of the platter starting to glow, I have changed the illuminator LED to a better fitting one on my other turntable, so the glow is more even things to do: Get the top metal bit powdercoated white Replace the tonearm on one deck, as its pretty much fucked sand off dots I can post some images of the steps I took to change everything if anyone is interested also, just let me know..

Been around a while, was once loyal to another forum but that's gone to shit so here I am. Been bedroom superstar since '05, played a few events here and there between NZ and Perth. I like to dabble in production, but everything musical has slowed down recently, so I'm pretty much here for Off Topic What's up?
