What he means is no one will help you get pirated copies. Though there are free versions of some half decent DAW's out there, someone might know of some and will post fair enuff, ill probably just fork out for a licensed copy, good to see everyones supporting them.

I'm not taking the piss in anyway but to try and put that q into perspective: it's a bit like asking a comic book writer how much time he spends drawing and how much time he spends writing. by which i mean: The two things inspire each other and each person will do what feels right to them and their aims. Also: Full free versions are generally unreliable due to the fact they are cracked. Most DAW offer a trial version so you can see which suits you but then you'll need to choose and pay. No harm buying a lite version and paying more later to upgrade to full version if it is working for you. HAHAHA fair play mate, makes perfect sense. Only reason i asked is some djs are more renowned for their mixing skills rather then their productions skills. Guess its personal preference.

Yep laptops to the side, im still glancing over to see how close i am, still early days! I can see you realllllllly need to know your tunes to mix souly by ear. think i might hit up a help topic for beatmatching.

Just a few questions about starting production. I've only ever used FL demos a few years ago now. what other decent production software is there? and anyone know some where i can get a free full versions? I heard q-base is the best mastering software? And just wanna get a rough idea of how much time you boys spend on your production compared to your mixing? or is it one or the other? Cheers

Question.. is their a special way you can upload the actual artwork instead of just the link?

Unsynced audio ( between head phones and speakers)
dechnician replied to dechnician's topic in Digital & Software
Sorry for late reply, boys this was a massive help, I've actually already got some speakers (which blast). But i set them up last night, their sitting on the floor either side of my decks, and i noticed difficulty beat matching still. It makes sense to have them ear level, I'll prop em up! Cheers boys! -
hahaha, im starting to use my ear, BUT its such a good medium for your tracks. sooo much time and money saved getting records made. i went to BSE feat. grooverider so i knew he used serato, but he wasnt using the visual aid too much, he made an effort to staying infront of the decks. I didnt know roni size used it, i thought he was oldshcool.

Im using my panasonic surround sound as speakers untill i get sum proper ones, but the audio thru my headphones is a little Bit quicker then The audio of my surround sound. I have dual rca goin out of master volume output of my mixer into the input of my surround sound amp. I understand about unmeasured sound and maybe that being the reason why, but ne1 kno how to fix it, ive tried every input there is and it stoll happens.. Cheers Sean
