  2. Cheers for all the help, i've got comfortable with 8%.
  3. Just want a few ideas about what percentage to set my pitch bend? I have stanton st150's, im switching back from 8 to 25% trying to get a feel for it, and both have pros and cons, input? Cheers
  4. i've got a dell, inspiron i think?
  5. so in basic terms, do you use 'microphone' input or 'headphone' input?
  6. Can i change my name? i've checked user control panel, but i cant seem to find where to change my forum name? Cheers
  7. So you plug it into the input next to headphone input? that's what the sticky about recording said?
  8. Distorted recording.
  9. i Recorded a mix last night using audacity, as loud as i'd play normally, but when i played it back it was terrible quality? any input? Cheers
  10. Im definitely serious, Cheers all the input :-D
  11. YES! all three were epic!
  12. What he means is no one will help you get pirated copies. Though there are free versions of some half decent DAW's out there, someone might know of some and will post fair enuff, ill probably just fork out for a licensed copy, good to see everyones supporting them.
  13. I'm not taking the piss in anyway but to try and put that q into perspective: it's a bit like asking a comic book writer how much time he spends drawing and how much time he spends writing. by which i mean: The two things inspire each other and each person will do what feels right to them and their aims. Also: Full free versions are generally unreliable due to the fact they are cracked. Most DAW offer a trial version so you can see which suits you but then you'll need to choose and pay. No harm buying a lite version and paying more later to upgrade to full version if it is working for you. HAHAHA fair play mate, makes perfect sense. Only reason i asked is some djs are more renowned for their mixing skills rather then their productions skills. Guess its personal preference.
  14. Yep laptops to the side, im still glancing over to see how close i am, still early days! I can see you realllllllly need to know your tunes to mix souly by ear. think i might hit up a help topic for beatmatching.
