  1. sorry, but I LOL'd
  2. I know they're not on your list, but consider the HDJ2000s. They sound good, and are SOO comfy.
  3. Krafty Kuts app I'm not going to bother with pros and cons for this one, it pretty much speaks for itself. It's an app that has a about 7 pages (12 per page) of various samples and sounds including bass drops, laser sounds and some vocals. I rate it very highly, cause it could definately add something to your sets for around $5 (from memory). I guess the only improvement they could make is to be able to add your own samples. 4 stars
  4. LOL, yeah... he cranks 'single ladies' by beyonce when he thinks no one is around. fuck i hate that song
  5. lovin this one mate... holla back once it's available
  6. unfortunately, they don't want to know about anything that isn't in the charts. ignorance on the flip side, I don't really want to know about anything that is in the charts LOL
  7. further to the radio comment... I can't stand it when I play something at a house party, like a song you know that is going to be big, and friends will sit there and say that it's a shit song. a few months down the track, they are asking you to play the same song because it's awesome, and they hear it on the radio all the time. fast forward another few months, and they think that song is shit because they are sick of hearing it. this REALLY annoys me. A good example of this would be riverside. Most people on here would have found this song prior to it's constant thrashing on the radio, and like it or hate it, you knew it was going to be big and it got people dancing... PERFECT Dare you to play it now. am I alone here? I blame today fm
  8. not sure about ministry, but most compilations on beatport will have full length songs and one or two (sometimes three) long continuous mixes as well. If it's tagged as 'DJ mix' on beatport, you won't get any full length songs, just the mix. hope that helps
  9. love that kinda stuff. Bimbo jones remixes are so cheesy
  10. twice... was at a mate's birthday and he was playing and I was way to boozed to notice/ care. second time was at good vibes and he was playing with the stafford sisters. commercial stuff, nothing special IMO the crowd was happy though
  11. shouldn't be too long... why not do interest free through one of the DJ stores? you pay a little more, but you at least get what you want. I think my dns3700s cost me about $70 a month
  12. It does seem like theres a whole bunch of tall poppy syndrome going on, but he's not wrong and the things do seem a little stale at the moment.
  13. until you get a gig at a club that still has cdj1000's how do the cdj350's stack up against the 400's? maybe it would be a good idea to hang out for the cdj850s. they would be about $1k each i recon.
  14. Do you have to have pioneer? I would buy the reloop rmp3s or the denon 3700s instead, at a similar price. Reason being, they feel and act a lot more like the 1000's than the 400's If it had to be pioneer, I would prefer the cdj800 instead. I had a play with the 400's and wasn't really a fan of the feel of them, despite their decent features. ...but to each their own.
  15. I heard fidget was being replaced by dutch house?
  16. all mixed... with maybe the odd exception
  17. i enjoyed reading that
  18. A lot of you guys may have read this on ITM already, but I thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention. http://www.inthemix.com.au/features/478 ... eat_itself I thought it was a pretty good article, and outlines a number of issues with the EDM scene, with some pretty good examples. your thoughts? discuss
  19. I bought this when it came out
  20. think cupe did some research into buying a recent recorder recently, maybe ask him (or her?) LOL
