  3. ^ well played sir

  5. not a bad deal, good find
  6. to the OP - buy these.... bargain http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/showth ... p?t=279840
  7. don't worry, I fixed it
  8. *know *what * that *you *to *what *they *are *why *you *that *be my advice would be (for new gear): 1) this pack is at a beginner price, but you'll feel pretty comfortable on a club set up because this has a similar lay out, and the RMP3 CD players act a lot like CDJ1000's... meaning you won't have to upgrade in a hurry. http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/dj ... -pack.html 2) these speakers, because there is no point mixing on shit speakers because you love your music so much, right? they also have the amps built in to the speaker, so you don't have to buy a separate amp which will save you space. http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/sp ... itors.html 3) these headphones because they are quality, and if you break them, all parts can be replaced easily. On the other hand, if you got sick of them you'd be able to sell them for decent coin because they are pretty popular. http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/he ... hones.html all that should come in under your $3k budget and leave room for a whole bunch of tunes at beatport (or similar)
  9. Don't think you can use master tempo on the cd player, you have to use key lock in traktor. The pitch on traktor is adjustable just like on your decks. But in answer to your question, yes.
  10. add a youtube clip
  11. I've got a 4gb toshiba drive and had zero dramas... just saying
  12. this is proper anthem, and I don't care if it's trance and cheesy
  13. you can download demo's as the trial of the software but they are never midi capable so no controllers can connect so your only other option is to download the naughty version if you want to try before you buy.....but yeh thats a touchy subject... not true midi works with traktor demo and virtual dj never tried serato, you need the box right?

    New Laptop

yeah, why delete your comments? everyone's thoughts and views make for a good and informative thread, even yours plus its fucking annoying to read "comments deleted"
  15. My trouble is, I only know what I like LOL
  16. might be interested in the CD's... got a link to a list or something?
  17. pitch slider works with time code, yes (traktor scratch, not traktor) if you're using normal traktor, then you need some sort of midi control to assign to the pitch slider on each deck. If you get traktor, I strongly advise that you invest in a kontrol X1, they are worth every cent.
  18. ^ sounds like you were having a crap load of fun with it, and thats what it's all about. In answer to the OP, I'm pretty much self taught. I've never had lessons, i've basically just learnt from gathering information. I've purchased books, which really just confirmed what I already knew. Tutorial videos had never really done much for me, so it was basically trial and error. That said, watching live sets like on dance trippin helped me along a bit cause you can actually see what the pros are doing, and also how crowds react to certain songs. Song selection is something I still struggle with
  19. but I speak Australian, not American...
  20. prob not yet, but they will be. kinda remind me of hd25s.
