i never liked the look of serato for a start, secondly I have an X1 which works straight out of the box with traktor. the deal maker was the fact that store dj had them on special for $699, with a 5yr warranty, which is only $30-odd more than buying it from NI's website. If DJ warehouse had a trade in SL1 in stock on saturday, I would now be using serato. Since they are $500, I figured if it was shit, I wouldn't lose to much if I was to sell it on again. anyway, someone buy my traktor pro and audio 2!!!

beat grid is what traktor uses to sync tracks.... it doesn't really matter so much with time code because you're mixing manually. anyway, this thread has been quite useful to me. thanks guys.
