pretty much cheese... but I like it
  3. is this the mackie you're talking about? i had no idea what it was, and i searched it on google images and this came up. if thats the case, no you do not want that.
  4. yeah, I see it... It will eventually be their undoing i recon
  5. i'm happy to get it if it means my computer will perform better and my computer doesn't act like an ipad. I don't need access to the app store or any other such bullshit.... I think I use about 3 or 4 programs (not including itunes, VLC and acrobat)
  6. thats not a bad thing at all
  7. it looks like they are trying to turn my mac into an ipad. http://www.apple.com/au/macosx/whats-new/
  8. ^ thats a great setup for a noob
  9. ^ the beauty of that second dns1200 pack is that both the decks and the mixer can act as a sound card and be used to control traktor (or similar) it's expensive though
  10. ^it's a refurb and it's in GBP.... equivilent here is $1300, or if you know someone who is a student who can get it for you, about $1100.
  11. i got the guts, but no use for it
  12. i've used some fucked up cdj1000's that have been rentals. you'd want to check them before purchased
  13. Suck Dick
  14. you gotta be there a lot, and make sure the promoter/manager/whoever hires you sees you. Essentially you're gonna have to make friends with this person. give them a demo cd after a while and tell them that you're happy to fill in if someone can't make it one night. edit: you got plenty of time to do it

    TOTD?

song isn't bad, but i love the film clip
  17. there used to be a few more around, I remember they had one at westfields miranda... didn't last very long though. I've wanted one ever since that shop opened in the entertainment quarter.... or fox studios as it was back then.
  18. this is the one I bought: http://www.lovesac.com/sacs/supersac-w- ... cover.html thats off the american store, so it's a little cheaper than here.
  19. the first setup you mention is great if you are planning on being a mobile DJ. I'm not sure if it's good value or not though. There are a few other guys on here that would have a better idea of it's value than me, and hopefully they will chime in. The 800s are much like the 1000's but you get auto loops instead of hot cues, and the pitch resolution isn't as accurate (it's still fine though... 0.04% vs 0.02%). others may suggest cdj400s as well I'm going to suggest DNS3700's (i'm biased though) from store DJ. they are awesome decks and can be had brand new for $699 ea nothing wrong with a djm400, they are solid little mixers. you really don't need more than two channels at this point, or even in the future for that matter. BTW, you have a pretty large budget for a beginner, it's not neccessary to spend that much when you're learning the ropes
  20. nah, it's a supersac by lovesac.... it's full of some sort of foam. It's the 6foot one and the fucker weighs in at about 30 or 40 kilos http://lovesac.com.au/html/more_sac.htm
  21. LOL its hella comfortable
  22. girl not included
  23. i'm finding this extremely difficult at the moment....
  24. strange... site not working i'll check back later
