with MIK, mine is set up so that the key is written to the artist name, so in the artist column it would look like '8A - Knife party' there is however a BPM column and MIK writes to that once you scan your tunes

lrn 2 smart playlist providing your music is tagged correctly, everything automatically goes into the right playlist. EG: I have a smart playlist for electro house: so everything that is 320kbps and has 'electro house' in the genre section of the ID3 tag goes into that playlist.

the only time i use flanger is on the occasional build up... i'm starting to use the filter more and more as a mixing tool, rather than an effect... makes for some nice transitions in the right circumstance.

your mixer is also a controller, but I would highly recommend a kontrol x1 if you got traktor

scratch if you plan on playing out in the future, so you can integrate your sound card in with the clubs existing equipment, but otherwise just get traktor pro cause you can use your 350's with it

just sign up to djcity.com and you'll get all the cheese you require. There is a million different remixes and mashups of the stuff that you need. from memory it's about $90/3 months of access for unlimited downloads. there are a few members here who are on it.

just did a quick calculation on the dnx1700 mixer and it's about $1k cheaper than here.
