  1. I used to be selective and still am about what goes on the bottom shelf! That is all my hip hop 12"s and albums, the top shelf is donations, op shop stuff im still going thru. Now that im trying to make beats. Any vinyl is welcome, so i will happily buy collections when the spare cash is around. I have heaps more in boxes scattered, presents and old grannies collections etc. its definately an addiction! I am however starting to run out of space!
  2. Nice set up vinyl fo lyfe! (personally i would turn the decks 90 degrees )
  3. if your in perth i"ll av it!
  4. Hunter & Dazastah - I'm a C&nt
  5. Wow! thats my dream, do you work in a studio? Oh yeah Welcome! Good Peeps here, very helpful and friendly

  8. Sorry missed that thread. Great minds think alike!
  9. Well happy for you man! Hard work pays off eh
  10. Don't take offense to this but you shouldn't be thinking about the money because it's not going to come and if it does it's not millions. Sharpen up your skills and be the best you can be at your craft. Feel free to go explore new genres and mixing techniques but get out there and have fun doing it. If you're lucky enough the money will come No offence taken Spit! But realise that my reason for the thread was to come up with ways to better manage time and money so I can spend more time practising the hobby I love, If I could get gigs and earn some (extra coin) awesome, but I've spent 12 years practising to a room of one, if it was for money, I would have given up years ago I respect anyone who has the guts to get up in front of people and do what we do!
  11. guys, don't take any offence at this, but should i just learn to mix dubstep? I'm thinking my chances of making it as a hip hop turntablist are pretty slim. I have respect for all you guys that are making money following your passion, it's just that edm has never really grabbed me that way
  12. just a suggestion for the merch side of things, have you looked into iphone covers? not sure if economically viable, but I would happily rep one, also thought they would get more exposure than clothing. occasionally wash my clothes but not my phone LOL
  13. 1st real set up, circa 1999! borrowed 1210's and a technics dmc mixer from cashies......ballin! unfortunately the chick i borrowed the decks off swapped them for crack after i gave them back!!!!! couple of years later, vestax decks and mixer and some dope new software called Serato.
  14. Gandy, its nice to know it is possible. You have given me some hope. Do any of you work from home, internet based or such?
  15. Just a query, How do you guys find the time to follow this passion we share? I have to work full time to pay bills, and 2-3 hours a night just isn't enough time to hone these shabby skills of mine. For those of you lucky enough (or should i say dedicated enough) to earn a living out of djing or production, do you work part time or casual aswell? Just having a real hard time slogging out this horror 9-5 retail sales job of mine, knowing that my studio is sitting idle......... Also working EVERY saturday sort of kills any ideas of gigging on the weekends? just looking for some ideas, direction, advice..........
  16. entrapment ????? its a trap ????? line & phono ????

  20. https://soundcloud.com/robrb20det/dirty-drums-instrumental-phase put this together last night, I think my drums are sounding better??? thoughts people..............
  21. that was dope! good production, tight rhymes and killer cuts at the end. Big Ups!
  22. they are perfect!
  23. Yeah the beauty of serato with vinyl is cue points and no skipping aswell (only in relative mode tho) I can def see benfits with a dedicaded controller eh. When i can afford a new mixer hopefully it will have cue point buttons on it? Using laptop keys is shite
