Def get a processor! If you amplify a shit signal (even with the best amps and speakers) you get a loud shit signal!

Buy a processor! Ve stock = shit! And the aux input will still be outputting on the stock deck output. A dedicated processor will clean up your stock signal. And usually have ipod connection to charge aswell. All of this is irelavent if you aren't adding amps subs and better speakers. Stock system is very limited. Hope that helps

If your cd player is running rca (analogue output) it should be just as good from the Ipad, but as suggested make sure the output of the Ipad is not clipping. Hope that helps

Have to keep reminding myself that ive only been at this production thing for about a year, its just frustrating when you know how you want it to sound and you think your on the right track, but it comes out shit. Im gonna hit up my old man and his mates for info, they've been pro musos for years, its just daunting playing my stuff to them as they dont get the whole hip hop thing lol. So i'm smashing out beats and loops on my Maschine, once i get to a point where i'm happy with the track, it sounds good on the monitors nice and balanced, so I export the file as a wav, drag it on my ipod and go listen in my car. The track sounds muddy, cloudy etc has booming bass but very quiet mid and high range? Now i'm no engineer, but i'm slowly learning about decay, attack etc. I put a limiter on my master out in the Maschine daw, which stops any clipping if i boost certain groups output. but adding compressors and gates is where i lose it. Searching on youtube for mastering techniques is like asking which car is better holden or ford? Any ideas where i might find some decent knowledge on this subject? Do any of you guys use Maschine or an MPC, would love to have some help Cheers fellas oh and when i export from maschine should i do it 24 bit or 16???????

mini disc was one of the first ways i recorded my mixes, sniff sniff......... still got my component player kicking around somewhere, this thread has reminded me, i should dig up those discs for a laugh!
