  1. I jobbed a prick at metros city here in Perth once. Couldnt handle his googs and was all over my woman! felt good too! but id never lay a hand on the dj, thats just whack!
  2. Techincs 1200's are heavy.......Borris the blade quote "heavy is good, heavy is reliable.........if it doesn't work you can hit him with it!" Either that or kill the sound, when everyone looks up to see why, point at the prick and say "no tunes till this prick gets his delt with"
  3. ha! my vinyl is sorted by 3 things samples, breaks, other! I'm a simple man
  4. This is the only pic i have so far, you cant see it but im repping ma hoodie! Cheers lads!
  5. well last night could not have been any better for me! I nervously waited for 3 hours to get my 10 mins, then when i dropped my first beat, i filled the room! most cats had gone outside for dribbling and smoking by the time i was on, but i got em all back in therew quicksmart. Not only did my beats sound crispy clean (first time i'd ever heard my shit through a PA) but no sooner had i got off stage then a bloke comes up to me intrroduces himself (one of perth's finest MC's, to be revealed at a later date) and promptly says "dude you owned it tonight, best beats ive heard from a new comer, i want tracks 3,4,5 and 6 for my next album" Cant believe I doubted myself and waited this long to do it! and honestly, with out supportive words from guys on this forum and my close friends, i never would have done this..............so thanks guys! I will now try to get down of this cloud and deflate my ego LOL have realised my purpose is to make tunes, not work retail in a job i hate any longer!
  6. ninja mitch edit?
  7. nah man! Maschine has the chopping part in it! just load your sample (full length original that you want to segment) push sampling button, then either hit slice, then edit the chunks or adjust your sample to the first chop you want, then duplicate onto another pad and edit it to be your second chop etc etc. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... SQ_RmrBvUw
  8. chop dat shit right in maschine dood! so easy! just youtube it, should be the same process on Maschine and Maschine Mikro. If you get stuck, pm me and i'll smash a quick video tute for ya!
  9. just a reminder, this is on thurs night, if any perth adjf heads wanna come. I will be sporting my ADJF Hoodie, pics to follow!
  10. Have shit tonnes of cheesy music, have patience with drunks, listen to the father of the bride, hes the one paying the bill! Ive done a couple of weddings, only for mates, and they tested my patience! Good luck
  11. i cant fault that logic! =D>
  12. damn, no perth show that i can find! This state really does suck balls! Woody is a sick whale!
  13. I'm still running SL1 and it hasnt let me down yet
  14. I usually sample mine from break records, but hip hop calls for a crustier type of drum. Heaps of good drum kits out there, check some out on you tube before you buy any tho. I've heard a lot of guys mention tuning the kick to match the root key of your track, but i havent managed to do this myself yet. I just eq my drums, maybe add some reverb or echo to stretch out my snares too. (edit) forgot to mention layering, this is putting a few samples on each pad (mpc) or triggering multiples in your daw. for example one long kick, one short pan them each way a bit, delay one etc. adds depth to your sound.
  15. why you no use technics 1200's???????
  16. real nice, but i think the ADJF text gets lost, needs some colour contrast imho. other than that, it has tt's so yeah just winning!
  17. thats wiggidy wiggidy whack! in all srsness, I had this album, i wore my shit backwards R.I.P like cupe said, way to young to go out.
  18. not a comp. just a chilled night listening to new stuff, theres a bunch of regulars that are really good. Figured f it i'll have a shot. just a bit worried, some of my tracks are quite different in volume? wondering the easiest way to try even em out, they are wave files, so i'm guessing theres a way........
  19. Finally gonna get up on stage, only for 10 mins tho, get to play my freshest beats for a heap of Perth Producers, Oxy you are most welcome to come along and any other ADJF crew. Some support would be good, I'm up with people like Rob Shaker, Dazastah etc........ A little nervous but hey, gotta start some where If you guys could review my soundcloud and pick any that you like, Id be most pleased. Peace Rob
  20. I still record in my vinyl to serato, purely for the realness, crackle and hiss!
