  1. Wow! that was the most fun ive had with my pants on for a long time! Shaker is a very humble, friendly dude. Who was good enough to teach me about mastering, gave me some sweet plug-ins to do so with, then he showed me how to phatten up my drums and track my projects out to reaper (DAW) He said my beats were dope (gushing!) and wants to help me get them sold, he said he has heaps of mc's asking for fresh stuff and would recommend me! Then i laid some guitar on one of his tracks (quite an honour) and we finished up having a scratch practise for half hour. So Dope!

  11. http://robshaker.bigcartel.com/ Today i booked 3 hours of studio time with Rob Shaker, I am using the time to master a couple of my tracks, learn some techniques in production and getting some turntablism tips. Shakedown studios is Perth's num 1 Hip Hop studio. Rob is a genuine nice guy, and has been good enough to offer half price studio time during december. Cant wait to check out his awesome setup
  12. The mic input is to talk or rhyme over your tunes, just take the output of your mixer and run it into a computer or laptops mic in. You will need a red and black rca to 3.5mm jack cable. Install audacity or another basic recording programme then you will be able to record your mixes into the computer as a wav file. Hope that helps
  13. So Devo! I loved winamp back in the day, made my own skins and shit too Fuck apple and their dominance!!!!
  14. then i have respect for you mate! im old and really only know hip hop. but have a look at the Ministry of sound r&b collections. thats where i get ideas for tunes to play at weddings. Eggs should be on the pulse with his suggestions.

  16. I love the pink noise theory, it didnt even click to me, we used to use pink noise in car audio when tuning a car for best response curve! Great find man

  18. ysm you were right, im getting old and starting to fear change Lol. but after a few good sessions on it, im loving this shiz. so much more control over pitch of samples, better capacity to play live too. I strongly urge Machine users to do the upgrade, well worth it!

(maybe should have put this in whinge thread! lol)
  23. Selling my vestax pdx2000 turntables. in flight cases with needles and slipmats. these are awesome units and have served me well for about 10 years, honestly I'd like to keep them, but i have found some very good cond tech 1200's. and i just want them. LOL $500 the pair ono (does not come with mixer and laptop pictured) ph 0402 416 728 or pm me The most notable feature of the Vestax PDX-2000 turntable is its short, straight tonearm. Although it may look a bit awkward, it makes it extremely difficult to make the needle skip, reguardless of what cartridge you are using. In addition to the anti-skip tonarm, the PDX-2000 also sports a strong, newly designed DC motor which puts out a torque which rivals that of the SL 1200. In addition, its start and brake times are extremely fast and the +/- 10 pitch control changes the fastest out of any comparable turntable. The PDX-2000 also features a reverse button and adjustable start and brake speed for slow starts and finishes. The construction of the Vestax PDX-2000 Turntable should also be noted for its battle-style friendly design and its condensed body which is said to improve acoustic sound.
