  3. Very neat and tidy bro Where are the indoor ferns on each monitor? Lol
  4. Yeah maybe if i had the studio hardware it might be better, but when using a maschine 1 controller, alot of features are buried in sub menus because the maschine just doesnt have the butons that studio does. Need to get hands on with the studio and see if it makes it easier.
  5. still cant dig the workflow. im so used to version 1 takes me hours to do what took me minutes
  6. Nice one Yizzle, but im stiil on mashine 1 software lol.

  10. re-introduction of legendary Technics Turntables Petitioning Panasonic Company re-introduction of legendary Technics Turntables Moni Daniel Petition by Moni Daniel Tel Aviv, Israel In October 2010, leading Japanese electronics company Panasonic announced that the legendary and symbolic Technics 1200 would no longer be sold. As one of the most iconic pieces of DJ equipment ever made the announcement to cease distribution was yet another blow for analogue enthusiasts the world over. For turntable-fanatics we’ve seen technology advance expeditiously and that’s not to say there are no benefits to the digitalisation of music – there are plenty, it’s of course great for music at large. However we feel that there’s a place for vinyl and the traditional DJ’ing and turntablism is too – and this is where we feel the Technics SL 1200s are vital. After all, vinyl sales have been rising year on year for some time now having a recent resurgence, so quality equipment should surely be available to play records with. Since originally launching in 1972, Panasonic have sold around 3.5 million of the Technics SL-1200 model turntables and with the demand for Vinyl steadily rising, I Want to launch a petition to see how many other music enthusiasts feel the same. If you’d like to support the movement, join the petition to bring the Technics SL 1200 back into production ! http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/p ... r=89031914
  11. Yeah i forgot about whitelabel, i had a look around on it when we first got access, but there wasnt much hip hop. I shall have another look.....
  12. Lol, i should pay attention to what im reading!
  13. Stealing tunes is wrong, but we've all done it, have a search there are a few threads about all the copyright issues we face as dj's. I myself cannot lie, I steal samples daily for making my beats, BUT I only do this non professionally, if the day ever comes that someone achally says " damn rob, thats the phattest beat i ever heard, here have a large some of money" I will have to pay for the rights to the samples I use. I dont get paid gigs as a Dj, just love mixing tunes for mates at parties and weddings etc. i'm assuming you're prob doing the same atm, in which case i will play the tunes i d/loaded years ago. But after meeting some of my idols in the hip hop scene, i realise that they do it tough, and buying what you enjoy from them should feel rewarding in itself. As for serato, ive been on it since day 1 and i can tell you bpm analyser, the one linked above, is a perfect partner for serato. But with the scratchlive version i run, it now seems to auto bpm very well, there is a option to turn it on in settings. As suggested above, learn to mix with out software assistance, use your ears, its tricky at first, but def def def worth the effort! Happy spinnin!
  14. sup mate, welcome! Good folk on here and heaps of info.
  15. =D> where do you find these gems of information?
  16. +1 I'd already decided to vote green, this takes the cake
  17. also, what stand are you using for maschine?
  18. hmm, more keys than me and cdj's I need to up the ante! lol Sweet setup bro. Try heaps of carpet in that shed, should get rid of some echos
  19. Ysm, you is the shiznit buva! #no homo, but geez i luv you
  20. Sup! Nice to have ya here I wasnt much of a forum guy either, these people will change that!
  21. Never paid much attention to tabliture, but big ups for havin a scratch!!!!
  22. Now being the proud owner of vestax pdx2000's and tech 1200's, i would have to say the vestax are far superior for my style of mixing, however untill i have serviced my tech's i should reserve judgement. Juggling seems to be the weak link, now either my techs are tired or i am to heavy handed, after using the vestax for about 10 years. That said, the 1200's are in my eyes the most advanced and visually pleasing record player that were way ahead of there time!
  23. When i discovered the 8 bar auto loop function on my dicers i was like....oh no this track is gonna end, wait a minute (push 1 button) instant breathing room to find the next track. That is why i have mad respect for any one staying purely wax these days. It takes so much talent!
  24. Yep, and I rely on them too much now Lol! I had suggested this in his other thread, but for orig wax he will need some sort of digital box to do this. Also eggs, if you still have that akai mpd? thingy, you could map that to control tracktor loops and such? if not, and if you still have it nek year, bring it with ya and i'll giv ya a wristy or something for it LOL
  25. oh i'm derailing baby! I think Mitch and I were talking about the old technique of placing a sticker in just the right spot, so that the needle skips back and plays the same revolution over and over (like the old "broken record" terminolgy) Showing my age here again lol. I first saw this in a dmc vid in about 92/93 But yeah Eggs, nek year I'll have you juggling so good that no piece of digital equipment will compare to your backspinning prowess!
