  1. nah gave them to a mate as a 21st present. they were both the present and the blood money i owed for having a little too much fun with his sister than he considered 'appropriate'..lol
  2. so just grab 1 audio 2 then plug headphones into mixer spot as usual? and if i ended upgetting the cdj 400's again. how would i go about intergrating all as one big controller for traktor? (the main reason ide still use traktor is i simply like having the large music base to choose from right then and there, and having the option to download a new track if its requested and all the other stuff that comes with using a computer)
  3. why look for audio 4? just so i dont have to buy 2 audio 2's? although im wondering, looking at the audio 2 (clearly depicts 2 channels) whether if i had to rca to 3.5mm cords, put two 6.5mm jack converters on the end of each 3.5mm and plugged one cable to line 1 on mixer and into channel a on audio 2 then repeated with line 2 and channel B respecively whether that would also work. any thoughts?
  4. ok well mine is not traktor scratch. so basically. to play using traktor and mixer i need to have 1 4 imput soundcard. preferrably NI if i ever get scratch.
  5. ahh i see what your getting at wazza. sorry, me being stupid so your saying that say i hypothetically had the uca202 or the audio 2, that i would need two of either of these soundcards to run traktor decks properly using 1 two channel mixer. ok
  6. http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/ ... ?page=1961 just curious about setup example 2? that was kind of what i had in mind
  7. any ideas on the audio 2?i only have the mixer, the cdj's were sold due to me needing the money to replace the engine on my car i know my life is terrible, but its just that i had a couple of gigs scheduled and i figured it would be cheaper to simply control it all through traktor then to buy new cdj's (which ide have to borrow money for and u know all the shit that can come with that so i just wanted to stay in the green)
  8. its just audio 10 is like 500 bucks. and i dont have that sorta money to spend on a soundcard. i heard that that behringer 1 the uca202 did it, just wanted some sort of confirmation from the good people here
  9. is that the only one that will work with traktor?
  10. OK i know there would be a topic out there that answers this question but i cant find it so if u know where it is then can u please link it up. anyway onto the question basically decided i wanted to use my laptop as the audio source for djing, currently have a djm 400 and hp dv6 laptop (please dont flame about the laptop, just know that it has 2 headphone inputs and 1 mic imput, as well as the usual usb's) now what do i need to do so that i can simply use the mixer to operate the mixer controls on traktor. is it just that i need an external soundcard (ie uca202) (i do have some thing from xitel, but no idea what it is, i think its for exporting music) i have the rca to 3.5mm jack cord and thought all u had to do was put it into 1 line input in mixer and put into a headphone jack. obiously not. have one realy long rca to rca cable as well. anyway thats about it. long story short. want to use mixer to operate traktor. or if u just want to answer instead of linking something, thats cool too thanks
  11. Hey guys been djing for a while, i dont whether or not this is a common question but i thought i should put it in the beginners section just in case to prevent flaming. Well ive been using a cdj 400 djm 400 active speaker set up for a while now. Now at current the mixer allows me 2 speaker outs, which im currently using via the rca-rca to my to actives. my question is, is there anyway to make it so if i was to buy to more active speakers whether ide be able to connect them up to the system, or am i getting to the stage where i need to throw some money at an amp and some passive speakers? i get pretty big sound as it is. but u know, there is always the next step and i mainly want to get more speakers so i can get the sound off the floor while still retaining the fantastic bassy feel. my current speakers dont accomodate stands so if i want to get them off the floor i simply put them on a table. but u know, thats a mute point for addressing my question any and all assistance that can be provided would be muchly appreciated thanks
  12. i converted my van so that the top and sides fold down.
  13. they are not stolen, i have the origional reciepts and the boxes
  14. Yer it has pretty much mint condition dusk covers. The pitch control sounds And feels fine to me.
  15. would $1200 be too much to ask for all 3 items?
  16. yer i know about that. but if they were so popular, they're must have been alot of them made and hence not be worth much anymore, or there is something that outdates them for their purpose.
  17. this particular model? because im told there was later models. I was trying to work out whether they should be sold, or simply stored until such a time where i may use them. i like having them around just for that nice vinyl feel, but to be honest i think that for me to be all 'old school' with them would be just silly. besides i dont have any music on vinyl anyway (all cd's and mp3's these days). just didnt really make sense for me to keep them.
  18. yer man, im not really sure what any of it is worth to be honest.. i mean, ive heard the technics are quite expensive. and wished to find out if they have devalued much is all.
  19. not too bad, i would push a variety of synth material through it however, maybe speed it up slightly as well. feel it would improve with the assistance of some trance tracks mixed in as part of an extended mix.
  20. Hey guys new to the forums, so hi. Look i picked these up from a cousin of mine, not really sure of what they are worth but to be honest i dont think i need all this and looking to see what i can get for them. They are in ok condition, there doesnt appear to be more than a couple light scratches here and there, nothing that im told which really effect its value if sold as 'used'. they were purchased in 2004 and were serviced in 09' to unsure still in excellent working order. any and all assistance in helping me with this matter is much appreciated. Thanks
