Support nights you want to be apart of Start small, if that means getting in the door or getting a set start at the bottem. there are few shortcuts Know what you can bring to the table. you might only get one shot talking to someone who can actually make a booking happen (act, night, etc etc) so make sure you know your shit and be ready to go at a moments notice. (i physically carried around usbs when i was trying to get club work-while i never ended up needing them i did get the interview for my my current job when i pulled out some usbs and told the boss that ill go up and play right now if he wants me too). if your gun ho about getting a night going. make it once a month rather than once a week. Would definitely suggest starting in a small bar first (where you only need like 30-40 people through the door for it to be a success) when you think you can regularly pull 100+ then approach a club. your 100 plus whoever was already planning on hitting the club makes a quite night work opening for. Networking is everything but if you cant count on the support of a few dedicated individuals its going to be a hard road (whether its djs, friends etc) having an entourage always makes you like #bigtime

Hey All, sorry ive been a ghost lately. last few weeks have been hectic. So my boss FINALLY gave out our March rosters tonight and im literally playing the 18th,19,20th + have earlier gigs on the sat. Sorry boys it means im officially out of Meat2016. I do apologise for not being able to call it sooner but its just not on the cards this year. add the fact that it was going to send me ~$500 into my credit card as well which wouldnt have been the greatest. I know we are missing a few big faces this year and i apologise that I am going to be one of them I will set up some sort of streaming arrangement (either live @ club or just mix something elsewhere in the day) for you guys if youll have me though. Ok so ive only just discovered the wonders of Kontakt. Seems like ive been sampling the way way way way hard way but have seen the (although expensive) light. Chasing a nice choir patch. good articulation defaults would be nice. i know you can do some to a degree with poly synths but requires a fucktone of layer, equing and automation to get the texture right. would really like if it worked in kontakt but if its a standalone vst thats fine. get amongst me

there is still so much money to be made in festivals however the 'acts' are no longer the thing selling tickets for these mega-huge events. They are selling a spectacle. Thats why tomorrowland, holy ship, coachella, burning man etc etc have no problems. not only do they have great acts but couple that together with an overall experience like no other and you have a winner. tommoroworld tried to be like a tomorrowland v2 but from what ive heard literallly half assed everything. they tried to make an event that was so much larger without out really adding anything. what did they sell like 30% of tickets or something? did not take into account the fact they were breaking into a new market etc. Happened with a couple other SFX events from memory as well. tried to go full hog and then flopped because they half-assed it

i really dig the arrangement. i get what your going for but think its still alittle too raw. think those synths need to be rained back though as i feel like if you played it over a large system it would bleeeeeed. Mixdown is getting way cleaner though

what is your budget for lessons (keep in mind it probably takes a half day at least to get down the basic skills) and what equipment are you currently using/will be using
